This was the 4th time we rented a uhaul in 3 weeks. Spent alot of money. Made 3 trips to Michigan prior to this trip with no problems. Need to make sure that the equipment that is being rented is ready to rent. Blew out a tire on the car dolly within 200 miles of driving. Had to wait 3 hours for them to bring 2 tires. Made us late for our closing so had to get a hotel for the weekend because the had to reschedule for Tuesday. Not very happy.Mary F.

The worker handed me the key, pointed to the back lot and said, "it's in the back corner." The truck was the last vehicle in the very back corner when the lot was full of trucks of the same size. He did not tell me how to figure out which truck belonged to the corresponding key given. The truck was in such a tight space that I had to return to the office and ask for help. A woman who was working outside was kind enough to guide me out of the space. She seemed confused why I also was given that truck when others seemed available. I returned the truck and a worker told me to leave the keys in the cup holder. I did. Then I received a call a couple days later asking me for the keys to the truck.Brittany G.

We booked a truck a month before our move, to be picked up around the corner from our apt, about 1 mile away. Our pickup time was 8:30am. At 8:20am, the day of our pickup, we received a text that our truck would need to be picked up at another location - 40 minutes away.... We had 8 people meeting us at our apartment at 8:45 to help us load the truck, we weren't able to get started until after 10:30am. This put us behind and we missed our movers at our new apt who were supposed to help us move. Luckily they were kind enough to allow us to rebook without issue or extra fees. We had actually originally booked movers THROUGH the U-Haul site, but they never returned our phone calls after 2 weeks and a rep at U-Haul told me they hadn't done business in months. I will never use U-Haul to schedule movers, and after the person at our original pickup location LAUGHED AT ME FOR GETTING UPSET ABOUT HAVING TO DRIVE 40 MINUTES TO PICK THE TRUCK UP, I will NEVER use U-Haul services again and will suggest against using U-Haul to all of my friends and colleagues. I never even received sympathy for this ridiculous situation, much less a discount. I was also told our original pick up location is supposed to call the night before to inform us about our truck being moved, but of course, with U-Hauls terrible customer service, we never received that phone call. The drop off location in Petersburg was seamless and easy, but it didn't not lessen the serverity of our issues at pickup. This was the worst customer experience I've ever had at uhaul. I told them I couldn't back a trailer and the lady says oh well that's where it goes you need to figure it out or we can unhook it and you can push it in place. That shouldn't be on me it was outrageous I'll never return.Tyler N.

Ensure staff know what they're doing to install trailer...while on the I-85 south bound in SC exit 92 pin fell off almost had a major accident. We needed a trailer quickly after a motorcycle accident. Although we were 90 minutes away and they were closing in 60 minutes, the fantastic team at this location went way above and beyond by staying over almost an hour to help us out. They were fast, friendly, and just so kind to help us when we were in a bind to get a wrecked motorcycle off the Interstate and a family who had been through enough that day, back to their home. I cannot say enough to thank them for being there when we needed them! Kudos and I highly recommend them for your towing needs!!!David H.

The young man that helped me was rude. I don't think he ever looked me in the eye. This location is run by a bunch of kids. They are rarely friendly. Also, I returned my Equipment 45 minutes early but received a rude call asking when I would be returning because I was late. The boy never checked in my equipment. But instead of first checking the Lott they called me twice and then my husband just to say â€œoh it's here and hang upâ€ O use this locating often as your records will show but they really need to get it together.AMBER W.

The hours on the website are completely wrong for this location. The van had interior leaks and was completely out of alignment. When I arrived there was no where to park, and I asked if it was OK for me to come in a few hours once I had someone to drop me off. The staff said this was OK and there was nothing I needed to do. An hour later I was called asking if I still needed the rental as it was pending cancellation. This continues the issues where everytime I talk with someone from UHaul, it seems to be their first day. The instructions for rental return state not to block the entrance, but by the time I saw this notice I had already parked near the entrance as the rental return area gives you no chance to move your car once you enter and realize its blocked. It was also unclear if the car should be left with the keys in it or not.Stuart B.

When I came inside to ask for help the girl behind the desk just said everything was set up online. When I went out to open the access door- it didn't work so I had to go back inside for her to say-" oh you need a key".. Could have saved me time if she knew that. Up to that point, my experience was not good. While the people at the facility in Charleston, SC were nice and tried to fix the issues, the issues should have NEVER happened. Unit was sold without contact or certified mail. Mail was not received or signed for. This location should have taken into consideration that people are having issues with COVID and getting back on their feet before selling off people's units. The people their are nice enough but I lost a lot because of their actions. And to make it worst, a few weeks later, we found out that people were stealing mail in the area so we were not protected because they didn't send something to us via certified mail to let us know. So I wrote a review a few days ago about how I was trying to move and the elevator broke and the hassle I had to go through to get things straight. A few days after that the manager called me and told me how much she believed in quality customer service and how she was going to give me a truck at no cost so I could move the rest of my stuff. Lady at front was not accommodating, due to the amount of time that it was taking to move with the elevator being broken it cost us more financially because we hired help.
