We had to trailer a golf cart at night time and the lights on the trailer would not work they kept blinking off and on and eventually would just go off and stay off. We know it's not the connection or the truck because the truck only has 19,000 miles on it. It was raining and very dangerous so it put us in a predicament having to haul a brand new golf cart on a trailer with no lights just because they worked when I initially were plugged up and checked at the location does it mean they will work forever and that they did not. No reason to call in for roadside assistance at 2 AM in the morning. It would've just cost more money than renting the trailer. Sad situation for such a nice trailer and the facility we rented from do you ladies were very sweet and helpful but the product was not great. I honestly feel like I felt robbed I should not have had to pay the price I did for the trailer and it not have working lights. Oh well there's not much you expect nowadays people don't step up and do the right thing and refund anything without pitching a fit I am just thankful that no one ran up on us on 485 and hit us in the rear end.Michelle Y.

Drop off of equipment is ridiculous at this location. Waiting 30 minutes to return rented equipment and probably being charged extra for the time sitting Waiting for someone to come outside and claim your trailer. And then not properly unsecuring the hitch from my brand new truck. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATIONROBERT W.

When I went into the office Mario was on speakerphone on his cell phone asking a friend about a gaming device which was for sale. He continued the conversation. I went up to the desk. He still continue the conversation. He finally hung up the phone and asked me my name. I told him I did not have a reservation. I called and was told I can come in. Anthony then approached the desk and Mario asked him to take me because he was leaving soon. Mario was extremely unprofessional and rude. Anthony was wonderful and very professional. When I went out to pick up my rental the change oil light was on. Both Anthony and Hope Assisted me. They check the oil. It was fine. The website check in is horrible. Nothing about it worked. It wouldn't access my camera to snap a picture of my license. It was very frustrating to say the least. At most I will most likely use a different rental company next time. If this is what U-Haul has come to then good riddance. I was informed that I am not the only one having experienced this rotten check in. It seems wide spread and should be addressed post haste.MARK O.

When I came inside to ask for help the girl behind the desk just said everything was set up online. When I went out to open the access door- it didn't work so I had to go back inside for her to say-" oh you need a key".. Could have saved me time if she knew that. Then someone else came to activate a key and the key terminal didn't work. Although the second girl was helpful, I could have saved time if the first girl knew I needed a key. Just seemed lazy to me, considering she was just sitting there talking about personal issues to a co-worker. This place was great, and very nice. They understood that I had been having a very bad experience with U-Haul, so they did what they could to make things pleasant. Up to that point, my experience was not good. While the people at the facility in Charleston, SC were nice and tried to fix the issues, the issues should have NEVER happened. Unit was sold without contact or certified mail. Mail was not received or signed for. This location should have taken into consideration that people are having issues with COVID and getting back on their feet before selling off people's units. The people their are nice enough but I lost a lot because of their actions. And to make it worst, a few weeks later, we found out that people were stealing mail in the area so we were not protected because they didn't send something to us via certified mail to let us know.
