I had an extremely frustrating experience. I spent over an hour at a â€œUhaul pickup locationâ€ which was actually a William's Chicken on 201 N. Jefferson trying to get into a Uhaul. The lock was broken, there was no key drop box. The â€œmanagerâ€ who also seemed to be running the gas station and the chicken spot was not helpful, he disappeared and left me in the parking lot to deal with it on my own. After 3 different calls to customer service, someone finally transferred my reservation to the 2455 Tarrant Rd. location where I was finally able to get my Uhaul. 2 of the service reps I spoke with promised me to extend my reservation from 6 hours to 24 hours due to the inconvenience of it taking over an hour just to pick up my previously reserved truck, but after a 3rd call I was told there was no updates to my account. There needs to be better communication between representatives and locations all around to ensure this does not happen to anyone else.Mariah R.

I have never been treated as such an inconvenience by Debbie. She was minimal help when I needed to gain after hours access due to an expired card requiring two trips but when another employee saw how she treated me he went out of his way to help me (wish I remembered his name to provide kudo's). This caused me to move storage units to another company and when I was trying to finalize checkout her manager was on-site so I was treated as an inconvenience again making me wait for a long time beside my storage unit for final checkout. When I asked if she could dedicate time to work I need done..., she laughed hysterically in my face and never said another word. Please have the elevator looked at. It goes very slow after going up about a foot then moves very slow. If one of two carts the elevator moves up 6 inches and adjusts but then goes down the same distance when you step in to get the other cart.Allan R.

The contract stated the the gas tank was full. It was not full. It was a little less than 3/4 yet I was still responsible for filling it up. Also, it's complete bullshit that you cannot change the drop off location. Sometimes plans change and if that happens then you have to pay for it. So stupid.Billy W.

Look you asked for my feedback well here it is....uhaul harassing family members and emergency contacts for payment is lunatic, loan sharks, and just wrong if it's your system it needs to be fixed! And the wording on your loan shark letters like if I was M.I.A for months not one phone call to me at all FOR 95 CENTS...STUPID! In the first storage until we had at this location, when we went to get out stuff out of it to move into a new home, we found that many items had a strange white residue all over them. This white residue was extremely difficult to get off of some items and even ruined several expensive furniture pieces. We have no idea if some kind of pest control spray was sprayed directly on our items or what happened, but it even managed to get into some of the boxes. That unit was also not sealed well at all and when we went to move our items out of it only after a month of them being stored, most boxes were so damp that they were falling apart and our items in them were damp as well. We down sized to a much smaller unit for a few months after moving into our new home and that unit was much better and we did not have any of those same issues. However, a few days before moving out of it our bill was due which I paid. When we closed out the unit we were told that even though we paid for an entire month, we could not get any money back since we really only used it for a few days. So UHaul is getting paid an entire month for a unit that was only used a couple days into the billing cycle and can double their money by renting it out to somebody else since we closed the contract and are no longer using it. That’s not good customer service and is taking advantage of people which is appalling, especially considering the times we are all going through right now with the pandemic. Keeping a customers money for an entire months worth of service when you are not providing a months worth of service is unethical and says a lot about how this company operates.cassandra B. | Overall Experience

Because I had a UHAUL account already, and it was hard to turn in my rental vehicle. I turned my vehicle in on time before schedule. I went to the Uhaul website to return my vehicle, but I previously had a account I could not find the link. I had to call the Uhaul customer service representative for help. So, I had to log out of my original uhaul account and log into a new account to return the van. It was a hassle and it took more time than expected.Luevada C.

We are currently dealing with having a credit issued back to us. When verifying the mileage and gas matched what was on the paper, the gas was under 1/4 tank. It was half way to a quarter. When this was pointed out, Catherine went back and re-did the contract to reflect what was on the gas meter. She wrote and initialed the new contract that if we brought back the vehicle with 1/4 tank, we would be reimbursed $18 and change. We dropped off the truck Sunday and was told the credit would have to be given by that store. We called and spoke to the call center who sent her a message to call us back. Never got a call. I called 3 times today. First I spoke to Paul around 4PM, who was very rude and was not very helpful. He said he would give the message again to Catherine to call me back. The 2nd attempt was after 5:30pm and I spoke with the call center and asked they please send another message to Catherine. I call the 3rd time around 6 pm and Paul answers. Again, rude and no help, I told him I was waiting for a callback, as he told me the first time she was not there. He says, â€œwell, she's not back yet.â€ I was so shocked that was his response instead of â€œlet me see what I can doâ€. I know he is the GM so I don't understand how he can't help. He then says â€œI promise, she'll call you backâ€ I just responded â€œwe'll seeâ€ and he replies ok and I hung up. He calls me back maybe 2 mins later and asks for my name or contract number to finally assist me, but I have my name since I didn't have the contract on me, but he says he can't pull me up. I told him, i would wait for Catherine to call me. I call once more at 6:30p and Catherine answers. She said she wasn't sure why the credit hasn't been added, but she sent me a credit for my next visit to U-Haul, but I told her that that's not what I want. She said she would have to research more to get us the funds back and call me tomorrow. This has taken too much time and the customer service that is being provided is ridiculous. I hope this reaches someone that will be able to speed the process up.Felicia R.

So they can know how to do their job properly and give good customer service. Have a backup process for if the customer has problems returning the truck online (such as an email to send pictures to and the ability for documentation of the return to happen on the phone with customer service.
