I've had storage at this facility since 2021. Used their trucks, vans, etc a few times. Upon entering into contract for my storage rental, I found the staff to be pleasant and always compassionate. Taking pride in serving each customer and going above expectations to help any way they can. It's makes all the difference when you're doing business with an establishment that puts the customer first. it makes you become a repeat customer based on them showing they appreciate your business.

It was asking to complete a captcha, even though it wasn't displaying. I tried different browsers on an iphone without a success.

Jose G.I used express check in. Got email telling me to check in at the location. Got to the location and it wants things like my passport, lease agreement, utility bills - THINGS TO TELL ME BEFORE I GET TO THE LOCATION. After 15 min dealing with that, told to go to the side of the cashier area and tell someone working that you're there to pick up keys. So I go inside and do that. But instead of getting helped, I have a young Latin guy see me, walk over to where I'm standing, look directly in my eyes and bring out his cell phone and begin playing a game on it in front of me. Literally he walked at least 30 feet to be within a foot and a half of me so he could mane it lol He doesn't offer to help and ignores me completely. Now I'm white so this is standard procedure from Latinos in Miami. Then I go to the other side of the counter, a young Latina lady, helping another customer in Spanish looks at me chuckles as if she thinks it's funny that I've been waiting and asked if I was the person checking in for Xpress checkin. She laughs more after I say yes, then hands me the keys and I walk away. No thank you no nothing. The young Latin guy that I returned the truck to was fantastic. Fast, friendly and attentive. The rest of the crew could benefit from watching him interact with customers. Add uhaul to the list of companies that turns a blind eye to the racism happening in their stores and under their noses - racism against any one that's not Latino and specifically Cuban. For some reason, you allow this to happen unchecked probably because to you, it's only racism if the protagonist is a white person. I've been harassed or treated poorly by employees of Winn Dixie, CVS and now uhaul and your response will be the same - silence. Silence because you're too busy being woke to give a damn or to admit it's happening Wake the hell up.

So, while I folded blankets, the staff watched & two of them pointed out the sticker in the van that warms of $25 fee if vehicle is not clean. This vehicle was immaculate. Only the blankets were not folders. I suggested to staff: The sticker does not clearly define folding blankets and (if it doe's somewhere in fine print in the contract), as it was suggested to me) they should warn customers who do rent blankets during pickup process.

I had a TERRIBLE experience (when I picked up the van) and a PHENOMENAL experience (when I returned it) The lady that works there in the morning is EXTREMELY RUDE (middle age cuban lady, I believe her name was Virgen or Virginia). The parking is huge, yet the lady made me park my car outside and I had to pay meter parking because she wouldn't allow me to park in the Uhaul parking lot (ANYONE would assume, since I'm renting a VAN, that they would allow me to park my car in the space where the van was parked, but NO!... I had to park outside and spend another $15 in parking) The only reason I gave a 3 star rating (NOT A -73 "MINUS SEVENTY THREE" STAR RATING) and I would recommend this place is because the Puertorican girl that took care of me when I returned the van. She was EXTREMELY helpful, kind, and overall a PHENOMENAL employee. Being a business owner, that is the type of employee I look for when I'm hiring (I own a hotel), and that is the type of employees you need to hire. I will consider returning to this Uhaul location with the hopes of being taken care of by the Puertorican girl, and NEVER have to interact with the RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL cuban lady. The Van was in immaculate condition.

JOHN D.1) this U-Haul is advertised as climate controlled. READ THE FINE PRINT. Only the 1st floor is climate controlled and I was told there is never any availability there. 2) Dark and smells. It is only February and it's very damp and humid, can't imagine our summer months. 3) Went to put a few more boxes in, the one and only elevator was broken so I planned to move my things out asap. 4) 2 weeks later, I come in, rent a truck and have my Moving Help scheduled and waiting outside when I head to storage to find out that the elevator is broken again. I go back into the store and was met by really bad attitude by U-Haul employee when I complained and said I wanted a refund for the truck rental because I can't load the truck due to the elevator not working. I had told the guy doing the truck rental that I was emptying out my storage and he rented me the truck anyways and didnt say anything about the elevator. *** I could go on but it was an extremely horrible expetience at this U-Haul

The doors for the stairs and fire escape are wide open, not locked so homeless people are coming in and out. However they are friendly and helpful homeless people so I’m not complaining. The unit size is deceiving,, the ceiling is the “10 feet “ or whatever so .. unless you plan on stacking everything 10 feet high you’ll need a big unit. Besides that, it did the job for my needs of 2 months.

The solution was to give me another unit that was smaller and ended up not being able to fit all of my stuff. Once I finally got a unit which was now on the 7th. Floor vice the first I was promised the elevator was down for maintenance. It was a routine maintenance they decided to do in the middle of the day instead of waiting until hours when customers weren’t coming in and out needing it. I had to move meetings and extend time blocks because of all of the above mismanagement and even more frustrating couldn’t store all the stuff I had driven states down to put away for my military move. Very upset and unsatisfactory.

Elevator will start closing and making noises after the first 2 mnts (because everyone knows you go to a storage and pay 150 dlrs just to keep 2 box and go). The same rude girl from before when I ask her if I could change units because we didn't fit on the sh..t they gave me she told me they didn't have any (which it wasn't true and we had to go back to get another real answer and she didn't even know how to charge us correctly, but of course they did). We took double time doing this in the storage that what we spend from my apartment (in an 11 floor) to the elevator and then to the truck and all that time with everything in the elevator because there is only 1 elevator and we didn't have space to go or to put things. Awful service (specially the women), horrible storage locations, not friendly elevator and extremely frustrated experience.

Once for the code, once to figure out I had to use it for both doors just to find out I needed a card to do this, plus, was never given a lock...the van I rented did not have a dolly so I had to go searching for one and get the ok to take it...this burned up about 2 hours of my rental time. As I was finally moving in there was a huge rat trap in my unit which makes me very nervious of having my belongings infested.. there was a strong scent of Marijuana on my floor and 2 unit with people bathing and sleeping in the units like a hotel. One guy even had an extention cord going to his unit and closed himself inside.

There were two guys pretty much “living” in one of the units on the floor where I was assigned. I felt nervous initially as there was a guy using a step ladder blocking the way and was rude about letting me get by to my unit on the day I was moving my stuff in. I assume these were paying customers so I didn’t make a fuss but it was weird. No issues with the facility or unit I was assigned.

The staff knew only Spanish. They need interpretations or hire someone native that speak English. Jacksonville was okay. I had to call corporate to fully comprehend my reservations. 3 locations were not able to explain anything to me . I know things are hectic for everyone, just letting UHaul know things can be rectified. We used UHAUL in the last at least 8 times before this reservation.

It indicates there are rats in the building, but at least you're doing something to deal with it. The live cockroach seemed like more of a problem. When I asked staff about this, one person didn't know what to do and the other person suggested I get a roach bomb. I don't have a car so I walked to the nearest CVS, but they had no cockroach killer materials. I'm pretty concerned my clothes and other items will be infested with roaches when I return.
