The staff there the night I was there was amazing. Natalie takes care of her customers. However the storage is super outdated and most of all UNSAFE. Truck was fine . The way they have the storage spaces set up are simply just not safe. Moving stairs to take heavy dressers and other equipment up shouldn’t even be a thing. However again . Staff was amazing !

I had all kinds of issues The truck was beat up . After I returned it I was told that it was not returned. And U-Haul tried to charge me more. I was told it was eventually cleared up. But when I went to rent a trailer, I was told that U-Haul had put me on a no rent list. So I had to clear that up. U-Haul did clear the issue however it was over 6 months that I had the rental with the supposed issue. No notice, no reaching out to correct their mess up. It’s just the way things go now no responsibility taken for mess ups. Just block the business and move on 🙄

Have the gas tank full!!! No one wants to start their day having to go to the gas station to do something that should have been done. Not only are we customers paying for this. But. YOU penalize customers for not returning the truck with a full tank then YOU dont fill it! I rent frequently. I'm busy. I'm renting what? A WORK TRUCK. The young lady that was taking care of me was not knowledge at all. She didn't know the difference of truck sizes. She She didn't know if a deposit was being taken out or not. She did inform me that Saturday Aug 15 was her first week. The gentleman that was there with her was very condescending to customers and his nonchalant responses were rude. When I returned the truck BRANDON was welcoming soon as I opened the door.

Hello, while I appreciate renting from this company, I was turned away when trying to find a truck and went to another spot to get a vehicle which takes time money, mileage to do. I was then called back to the 1st U-Haul co. and they said they do have a truck then I had to travel back so many miles I was not reimbursed for their mistake and also putting in my money for gas into the tank & return. Vehicle was causing me to add more fuel into the truck then I was supposed to. I am requesting that extra fuel cost to be returned to my Capital One account. I did speak to the Better Business Bureau and they asked me to ask you guys first before filing a complaint. I do appreciate that you were able to find me a vehicle to move my belongings, but it took more gas out of me and time out of trying to get the moving situation smoothly as it could go. I do understand things happen, but this was really bizarre.. The gas amount that I paid was $9138 well, it should be half an amount that I should get returned..Debit card ending 8970 Thank you.

I rented an appliance dolly & upon check out I never got it. I called & told them & they said we could turn around & come get it or have it refunded. The representative at the counter was unwelcoming and spoke to me in a very disrespectful way and provided no assistance, making the rental process feel unpleasant and rushed. The employee who handed over the truck was also unhelpful and showed little interest in assisting me and unexpectedly he was screaming at me! He offered almost no explanation or guidance about the vehicle, even when I asked questions (that have not been answered) this experience fell well below the standard of service I expected. I hope the company will look into improving customer support and staff engagement at this location. Im extremely disappointed.

The storage units at this facility should be renovated. No lights in the unit. Public storage has me spoiled and uhaul storage should take some lessons! I didn't even open the lock nor use the unit. The only reason I gave this facility a three star is because the customer service is great but the storage cost every month was super expensive the storage I had was super small and I paid 149.00 every month sometimes lates fees which I will pay 179.00 when I say my storage unity was small I mean small another all my mattress was stained with yellow stains I don’t know why and where if came from because we I first brought my things to this location my mattress was good as new and now I just want to throw them all away once I unload my things from the U-Haul I will definitely take pictures and file for complaint

I purchased my uhaul unit on 8/21/24, I am moving in today, (8/22/24). The staff member I was serviced by was very “nice-nasty,” and was unnecessarily giving me a hard time. Prior to coming in on 8/21, I had already come in and reserved the same unit. The manager was polite and helpful on that day. As for the staff member that worked that afternoon, he was not pleasant at all. Also, the set up is very inconvenient. You can’t park in the actual dock area, my unit is up the stairs, which means I have to bring things in from my car, parked outside of the dock. Currently, I am moving some heavy things in by myself. The lock system is inconvenient as well. I had to keep going in and out, and up and down the stairs. A staff member put a gold lock with red tape on it on the unit. I had to continuously go up and down, back and forth just to have the right key for the red tapped gold lock. There’s no elevators, or anything to help move things into the storage unit. Even with movers to help, it would be nice to have a cart or something to help customers move into their units if I have to bring things from the lot which is absolutely crazy. I was asked repeatedly yesterday, “are you moving in today?” Besides the gold key, what does it matter if you can’t park in the dock, there’s nothing to help move, (as in carts etc.), and you’re going to be inconvenienced anyways. Something told me to go to another Uhaul. I’m upset I didn’t listen to my first mind. If I could, I’d truly get a refund from this place. Moving can already be hard enough.

For the rate you charge you should offer more space. Also how do you force your clients to buy your product after purchasing the unit. That’s not business friendly. You don’t know what financial situation your customers are in to demand that they buy your lock for their unit. You should be very clear that an 8 x 8 only fits half of a three bedroom apartment . You also need to work more diligently towards restoring your 10 X 10 units because you had a lot of customers asking for it but it’s still under construction at that location.

Definitely would not recommend those 2 ladys at the front desk on 1st shift should be fired and they try to finesse people out their money this is the one on 169th in hammond by white castles

My only qualm is the hours. I had a previous storage unit that gave clients access codes so they can visit outside office hours. Their hours were much earlier and later comparatively. This facility was great, clean, and nice overall.

T he two women clerks (can't remember their names) and Brandon Adams (the male clerk) were extremely helpful and work to accommodate my immediate need for storage. The facility was well kept and they were all able to address my questions. I highly recommend this location for storage and UHaul Truck rental.

Alma Leal was the store associate who assisted me and she was incredibly helpful. She explained the terms and conditions of my contract; she showed me where my storage unit was and gave me tips on how to store my items; and told me that she's worked at this particular U-Haul location for 16 years and there's never been an issue with customers' items being ruined or stolen, which gave me all the confidence I needed to leave my things behind. Alma is an all-star associate and without her help, I would've gone to another storage facility. She was literally the best!

I had an appointment and I arrived 5 minutes early. I waited 20 minutes just for someone to acknowledge me then I had to wait another 15 minutes while the rep helped someone make a reservation instead of giving me the keys to the truck that had been reserved and checked out during the mobile check-in. I will never recommend uhaul to anyone

The employees were more than helpful and nice. Only issue I had, was I did not receive the items I preordered with the truck and storage unit. This included the bed covers, boxes, etc. which was fine because I didn’t end up needing those items. I believe I was still charged for them though.

I love this place. I have my property for one year and seven months and everything was in great condition because you have the temperature nice all year long. My collection of magazines and other documents are in excellent shape. I am recomending this place to my Friends and Associates. I got the feeling that one day, I will be back!

I will like to personally thank Mrs. Natallie! She’s great and all in one fabulous. She showed concern and met my every need. She also have her staff well train. I mean they were all like family I felt the energy when I first came into the store last year! The staff shows gratitude, love, care, sympathy and most of all excellent customer service!! Tezz and most of all Natallie thank y’all!! The young lady Patricia I met when I received my things made it seem as if she been there longer then the time frame she had been, she just fit right in, I love it!! They show what a team in a business suppose to be like, I give them 100% above 5 stars and recommendation!! I was beyond satisfied.
