The truck overall was clean except for a tarry substance painted along the edge of the truck where the door closed. Footprints were formed on much of the truck floor from previous individuals stepping on the sticky substance. I covered the length of the opening with clear tape to prevent this tarry stuff from being tracked into my house and my daughter's apartment on the other end.

This location is usually excellent for me. The Saturday morning manager is in the wrong profession. Very rude, impatient, admitted that it's his fault he's understaffed and "doesn't give a sh*t if customers have to wait on him" since he's the only one working. On a Saturday morning. Just overall terrible experience. We were having trouble with the trailer lights not working. Well since he's the only one there he left us to figure it out, which we did. Having a single person there when there's 4+ customers is just irresponsible and really shows how he feels about customer satisfaction. Also if he's going to be the ony one there he should at least be knowledgeable on the equipment he's renting and how the lighting works. Unfortunately he's made me no longer want to go through uhaul or at the very least that location. Which is unfortunate because I intended to start renting equipment a lot more over the next couple months.

I'm not sure if it was a busy day at this location or if it was due to the area of Pennsylvania I am in as a person of color, but I had an unpleasant experience at the Harrisburg Uhaul location. The employee was preoccupied on the phone assisting another customer and did not acknowledge me until about 15 minutes into my wait. After acknowledging me, in an unwelcoming tone, in which I told him my reason for visiting (dropping off a truck rental 1 day earlier than expected), I was met with an attitude explaining that I would have to continue to wait. I did not mind waiting as I was aware that there was another customer ahead of me on the phone. Once it was my turn to be assisted, the employee was very short with me when answering my questions related to dropping off my rental a day early and seemed dismissive. Overall, I did not like my drop off experience and would have appreciated more friendliness and understanding in order to create a more positive customer service experience.

My kick sensor stopped working after installation. After contentious discussions, U-Haul refunded installed cost and attempted to fix the issue but yielded no success. They offered no other alternatives other than taking the hitch out. I spent countless hours getting installed and troubleshot with them so taking the hitch off is not a desired outcome.

I have never been happy to spend my money. But, when I go to this location I know its worth it. Trevor goes above and beyond to help his customers. The dude can do 3 things at once while still running fully committing to his customers. The rest of the staff are all hard working and don't drag their feet. They know time is important and get it done. 10/10 no doubt the best location I've been to. Side note with no relation to this location.... The Levittown PA not recommended.

Pick up was a breeze! I was able to do it completely on my app. The truck was easy to access; the door of key safes was visible. There was an attendant on duty if we needed him but we didn't. We were able to maneuver the truck out with no problem. When we returned it an attendant took it in for us and parked it.

I am not a fan of the app check in policy. The staff graciously checked me in which I deeply appreciated. It was explained that they stopped checking people in over a year ago. You need to go back to offering the personal touch. Not everyone is savvy in or like having a million apps on their phones due to digital crime.

I received a piece of equipment in poor condition; I have photos taken beforehand showing that it appears to have been involved in a previous accident. It was my mistake to have accepted it in that state. During transport, a taillight came loose due to the equipment's poor condition, and I was charged as if I had broken it myself. I do not recommend this service.

When I picked-up my vehicle to rent, the app did not let me take photos of the van before leaving. I had the location permissions on and it kept saying access was denied. The van I was renting also kept saying that an oil change was required, and the employee told me they check the oil so I shouldn't worry about that. I was still worried about it because that doesn't come on unless the van needs serviced.

I’ve rented from this location several times in the last few months and it’s been a very good experience; however, the man that was working there yesterday made it unpleasant. There was a line of customers and it was uncomfortable listening to him speak to the customers ahead of us as though they were stupid, bothering him, and somehow not worthy of his time. So would I recommend this location to others? Not if this individual was the one behind the counter.

The kid who helped me means well but is not very bright or good at his job. The process to upgrade from a 5x9 unit to a 10x10 unit took about 45 minutes. He didn't know how to do things in the computer, the touhpad for the credit card didn't work, he texted links to my wife who wasn't inside the store instead of to me, he tried to charge me for another lock when I didn't need one, I had to scan my DL three times, etc. Then, to top it off, he told me the new unit was all the way across the street in another building, despite my repeated requests to get one near the current 5x9 unit. So I agreed to rent a truck for $20 to move all of the heavy furniture we had in the unit. But once we loaded the truck and drove across the street down to the other facility, I saw the unit number he gave me was not on any of those units. So I went back up to the office and he told me he was confused and it was actually right next to my existing unit - which was what I had requested more than an hour prior. Fortunately, he did refund me the $20 for the truck, but then we basically drove right back up to where we loaded it and unloaded it into the new unit. That kid really should go work in a gas station because this was a very frustrating experience. Either that, or he needs to be supervised at all times because he called his boss at home during the agonizing process and still managed to screw the whole thing up.

We have lost over 75% of our belongings due to rat droppings and urine in our unit. We now know why you all have that big blue dumpster out back — for customer’s lost belongings due to a poorly managed facility. After 12 years of renting from you guys, we expected a higher quality of service and better management of our storage unit. For the past 2-3 years you all have been slowly increasing our rent without notice or reason, despite calling and requesting an explanation. You all were quick to ask for the monthly fee, while pretending to maintain a clean facility. We will be filing an official complaint. However, Dwayne was extremely helpful , closed us out and his customer service skills — top tier! He deserves a raise just for working at this location.

The unit had a wasps nest and I was stung by a wasp which I am allergic to and to be medicated quickly. I removed my credit card and it kept taking out charges instead of the card I replaced it with. Then I rented a truck several days before moving all belongings out of the unit and we returned the truck only to receive a letter saying we were late with our storage unit which we had alerted we moved when we turned in the truck.

I was very disappointed in the dimensions of unit 1261. Due to an 2' x 1' outcropping on back wall along with wooden crossbeams along the top. It is at best 4' x 5' x ~6.5'. This is not a dispute; rather, an observation about misinformation in the unit description. I expect a call from representative to correct this issue. The experience with the storage unit was excellent. The move out experience on your website was horrible. Every time I got done with the process, the final screen would say my session had expired. I tried using the chat and after the tech read my problem, she disconnected the chat. I verified I was still online so internet was not the issue. I tried from both my cell phone Via cell tower and my laptop via cable modem. I finally had to go to the store in person to move out.

The two gentlemen at the counter were unprofessional like they didn’t really care! And the card reader system didn’t work. Paying $170mo for storage You would spect a nice customer service!!!

Only issues was that every time I opened the units door the alarm sounded. I assume my card was not reading as it should. Not a problem for me, if an alarm sounds, does anyone come to investigate?

Pass card did swipe at test but failed at storage entrance. Alarm went off at opening of unit. With that said no one came to see why alarm sounded?????

Resolve? Try to reach them. Rented a storage unit. Load in. Door bent. Lock won’t fit. Call only number given. Back thru call center. Who sends a message. I wait. Workers. Rude. Idiots.

My overall experience was very professional, yet friendly. Everything staff member I dealt with both in Toms River, NJ and Harrisburg, PA were very knowledgeable, helpful, they went out of their way

I believe I was robbed! I was told I would receive a refund by the staff. I should have received a pro rated refund for usages not used. The staff needs to keep their communication straight.
