The facility does not have enough customer service reps to help customers. It was a very unpleasant and scary experience getting to assigned unit of 2901. That unit was all the way in the back, I got lost trying to find it, the directions to units are not clear enough. I eventually came upon a gentleman who was working in an enclosed area who helped me out. The general manager is very professional and pleasant, though. The only recommendation would be to have the cars in the front rows better labeled for the counter personnel so- I didn't have to go back in to exchange the van keys. But it was really easyMargaret F.
When I first arrived the parking lot is very confusing as far as where to park. When I walk toward the building after parking . I was approach by a guy who told me I could park there with no greeting, no identifiable indication that he even works for uhaul with an attitude to boot. After parking against I went inside and the same guy was behind desk not acknowledging that I'm standing there till he was ready and done looking at his phone . When I was talking to him he was mumbling still looking at his phone and got mad when I said what because you could not hear him. He is definitely not someone you want even in the office representing the company. Thank god another working told him she would take care of me and he left . She then was so polite and worked with me asking me what I was looking for to suite my needs. She was great. But then the credit card or signature pad kept freezing and took a while for me to rent a vehicle. Other than that the woman who helped me was great. Guy with the attitude needs to make room for a job somebody else would be happy to have.robert Z.

The manager Cleopatra rented me a vehicle. She was kind, informative and helped me to pick the right vehicle to move my items out of storage. This locations vehicles are always clean, full of gas and in tip top shape. They are my go to location for renting moving vehicles. They are second to none.IRISRANEE A.
Your automatic pickup app/webpage are both terrible and made for a horrible experience. I will look elsewhere next time. I went to the location at 7AM and wasted an hour trying to log in. I will say, I am very tech saavy, etc but the site was not user friendly and simply didn't work for the picture taking app. It took about a dozen tries to get it to accept the picture of myself and it simply would not accept a picture of my license no matter how clear I made the picture, how much or how little it filled the screen, etc. And then when I called your 800 number i was on hold for 20 minutes and still hadn't spoken to someone when your rep came at 8AM. The only reason I didn't give it a POOR (i.e. 1 star or less) is b/c the location was actually convenient for me and your representative that came at 8AM was very helpful.Damian S.

Staff is great but this place is infested with mice. All of our stuff had mice poop in it when we moved out. Access hours are extremely limited compared to other places (unless you pay extra). There are no lights in the storage units themselves, and the ambient light from the corridors isn’t enough to adequately illuminate the inside of the units.Jonathan N. | Overall Experience

Just a suggestion ... I do think the highest risk to your trucks comes when drivers have to pull into gas stations to fill up the tank. U-Haul should seriously consider eliminating this risk by charging "fair market" price per gallon of gas.Christopher P.

Took me a few minutes to find out how to put the hazards on. That's dangerous! There seems to be a sticker for everything but that. Also, the light in the rear didn't work and also took a while to even find the signage showing how to control it. I had issues on my phone checking in and issues checking out. So I waited for someone for a while as the signage instructs and I sat there but no one came for a long time. He was kind, however, once he showed. The location seems fairly put together but the online system was trouble. Also, you should make the documentation including terms of service and vehicle instructions available prior to checking in. I wanted to be careful on the road with the truck but I wasn't going to sit there and study all the documentation when there was simply no time to do so.Azriel Z.

On March 19, 2021 I had picked up a reservation for a cargo van and I was charged twice because the worker was doing too much at one time. Rushing my order and trying to take another order at the same time. He gave me the wrong truck. I was charged $113.25 for the estimate and when I came back on 547pm on March 19 to drop the cargo van off, I was charged another $82.16 A young woman said I would be reimbursed the difference but I was charged twice . Now my account is negative. I have been dealing with this particular location for years and never had so many problems.Todd C.

Your service was excellent until the last day. I literally waited in the store office for around 25 minutes before anyone assisted me. I called the office and I just heard the phone ring. I called the store manager Ms. Cleopatra Jones-Brown at 516.239.6374 and no answer. Her business card has her cell phone so I called it at 347.832.7237 and she still did not answer. I texted her and she still did not answer. By the time someone came the store had approximately 8 people waiting for service. This final day was horrible and unacceptable. You cannot leave you door open and then when customers come in there is no one to take care of them. Also don't put you cell phone on your business card if you are not going to answer the calls. Very disappointed. Came in w my wife n daughter w reservation. Torn between 2 sizes. Had questions. Customer service was horrible. Tanika was talking to me like every question bothered her. Attitude and talked back. Felt like an argument than a conversation.Told her I need to see actual storage space to make final decision. Negative vibes and I still proceeded w purchase. Yonkers rep took time to take me to actual storage space,she didn't care. Im aware of uhaul cards sometimes not working properly gave me a used card w back stripe very worn, told me it was brand new,could not activate it. So i suggested to try another card she said no.yonkers rep tried 2 cards before giving me one thats works. felt uncomfortable taking card that didn't work. Once we got to the back we needed guidance she refused. At this point my wife said cancel but I still proceeded to the back. Once I got there, the stairs and narrow walkway was not gonna work for me which I for warned her if pillar or anything inconvenient would make me not proceed w me paying i would refund. I WAS A LAYDOWN EASY PURCHASE.! If she took the time be professional, courteous, friendly i would still have took it. But the disappointment, anger n frustration w her push me to cancel and give my business in another storage in valley stream. I didnt ask for free storage i paid for mine. didnt deserve this treatment. There's more but I'm done. Asked to speak to manager she said no. When I came back in to give her me receipt for refund. She didn't want to, ask her coworker to do HER the favor . Rep name Tameka proceeded w my refund. She was friendly and helped HER out to help me out. Appreciated that!. Money hasn't hit my card yet . The quality and maintenance of the units on the upper level that we rented is very different from that on the lower level (we have friends who rent ground floor units). The upper level is unprotected (no ceiling other than a type of chicken wire) and exposed to vermin (many traps and poison packets in view). There was also difficulty with the key card as well accessing the building after hours. The lobby/sales area is very clean and well maintained. The staff is also stellar.
