I was given the wrong size equipment at pickup and while they when I returned the equipment that it was due to them not having my size truck I was then stuck using something bigger when I really needed the smaller truck. This is something they should have made me aware of prior to pick up if they didn't have the right size equipment that I had reserved. Also, the customer service in the morning is terrible. The lady is rude and very unprofessional. When returning the equipment the smell of marajuana was overwhelming. The 2 people there were not able to answer questions and explain things well. This store was very disappointing and I will find other stores to use for future rentals and recommend others do to different locations as well.Misty F.
When I returned equipment the entire store smelled heavily of marijuana. The closer you got the register the stronger it got and when standing in front of the two employees the smell was overwhelming. They struggled to answer questions and a hard time explaining why the truck I rented was not the truck I received. It took a while for them to tell me I had been charged for the correct equipment and I'm still not certain it was correct. Everything about this store was very unprofessional. The lady there in the mornings is extremely rude to customers then I found all of the above when I returned the equipment. I will look for a different location for future rentals. I rent several each year and this is the worst location I have rented from and the first time it has been this bad. I normally use this location and don't have any trouble but the service and experience was drastically different and it a very negative way.lashon H.

Besides the 2staff members that helped me unload my car from the trailer; it pretty much sucked. Janell is RUDE! No one greeted me when I walked in. I kinda just stood there until she finally spoke. And that was only to tell me that she wasn't going to check in my vehicle until I unloaded my car. (Duh) did not ask me if I had a reservation. Aggressively told me that I was going to lock my unit before I left; which I already knew. Just all together horrible! This has been the U-Haul assisted trip from hell.Iisha A.

I was told on the phone that returning the trailer to this other location would cost me $60 extra. So I made plans to do so. But they actually charged me $150 extra. U-Haul lied to me. Very upsetting. Further, even after getting my receipt for returning the trailer, no one came out to disconnect the trailer from my car. I had to do it myself. Lousy lousy service. And, I think U-Haul owes me $90.William K.

When I rented i was told I had 100 free miles at 19.95! I was never told about a 200 deposit from anyone until i made it to pick rental up!! When I returned it then I was told no free miles you pay for all the miles and your rental went up from 19.95 to 89 and you pay 49 cent a mile. 1) The truck only had 1/4 of a tank of gas when I picked it up even though I was contracted (and did so) return it with 3/8 of a tank. 2) I picked the truck up and dropped it off at the same location per the instructions of the person working when I picked it up. A different employee was working when I dropped it off, and this employee told me that I had dropped it off at the wrong location. This didn't impede the vehicle return or add any cost, but I thought it was strange.Ildefonso G.

Only one 10 foot truck which I reserved only to find out the day before it was out of service. I was told that I could get a 9 foot van and a deal would be made for me. When I arrived at the location I was told the can was the same price as the 10 foot truck. I could see that on the menu but that didn't address the deal for the inconvenience that I was offered. The attendant stated she would not hold the $250 required funds on my credit card as a courtesy. That really didn't compensate me because the hold was not an issue. I was able to use the van and get my pick up made and the van returned 3 hours ahead of schedule. Can I get some type of compensation for the inconvenience?Ralph H.

It was unacceptable to pick up a vehicle that had tire monitoring lights on and the store representative was able to address it. They were willing at one point to let me leave with you the truck knowing the truck had issues. I was eventually given another cargo van but that one had oil change needed soon on the screen. I believe it is important that rentals are in good condition and properly maintained to ensure the safety of those who will operate them. I hope that this location takes better care in the future.Mervin B.
I rented a 5x8 enclosed trailer on Friday to be returned by 4pm that same day. I returned at 3pm and a gentleman outside assisted me with unhooking trailer. I asked if I needed to go inside and he said no I was good to go. The following Wednesday I had a vm asking fore to please return the equipment that I had. After numerous calls to the location and kept getting forwarded to national line. I had to take time away from work to go to the location and straighten everything out.timothy C.

I'm am so irritated with uhaul and all of their nonsense fees. Taylor (the manager at Uhaul in Jackson, TN on airways is a horrible manager. I have never been charged an after hours drop off fee. She keeps shouting contract this, contract that but honestly I've never read it because why would I need to? I've always thought hey, don't wreck their truck and put the gas back in it it. Boom! That's all. I'll never rent from this location again. I feel they intentionally leave out info when you're leasing so they can charge you extra fees. When the black guy was in charge, I NEVER EVER had any issues. He would have told me everything up front.PATRIECE G.

I submitted the following email narrative on 2 Aug but have yet to receive any reply. Three weeks ago I reserved a 20' truck for pick up in Dyersburg TN on July 29, one way to Crestview FL, total cost of $798 (which included furniture dolly, utility dolly, and furniture pads). On July 28 at 7 PM as I was on a plane to TN, I got a text from UHaul saying that a truck was unavailable for pick up the next morning and someone from uhaul would contact me. Nobody from Uhaul contacted me. As a result, I called UHaul and got a 15' truck 75 miles away which I picked up and was charged almost $1200, which did not include my requested dollies. The customer line was 10 deep and took me 45 minutes to finally get processed. In addition, the truck had a hole in the muffler and was EXTREMELY loud in the cab. So loud I had to purchase ear plugs for the 8 hour trip back to Florida. At a minimum, I would like a refund of the $400 difference between what I was guaranteed three weeks ago and what I had to pay at an alternate location. UHaul not only cost me money but time and inconvenience. Despite these trying economic times, people need a reliable way to move. Unfortunately, UHaul has not been able to provide that. First of all I had reservations in Southaven, MS. at A quality transmission. Lady said she didn't have one available even with reservation. Said she couldn't find one for us to cancel. Horrible customer service. Went to Jackson Tennessee location they were friendly but the truck AC didn't work and they wouldn't swap trucks for me. The truck I had was very dirty inside and out. The issue I had was with the truck. The rear tires were worn and should have been replaced thousands of miles earlier. However the truck preformed ok and drove as I expected. But I consider myself lucky to have made the trip without serious problems arising from the tires. They were UNSAFE, more so than I realized when I picked the truck up. I received the vehicle with a check engine light on, when I brought it to the attention of the gentlemen cleaning the vehiclesâ€¦. He said it's nothing to worry about all of them have check engine lights on. Of course that doesn't help the case because it's a 26' truck and we were traveling 1.5 hours so I couldn't afford for it to break down and have to deal with all of that since we hired movers and we're on a schedule. At this point I go inside to tell the lady that rented it to me and she had a puzzled look on her face where she just agreed with the other gentlemen. Didn't offer to switch me into the other 26' truck. Basically told me sorry deal with it. This needs to be addressed because thankfully it didn't break down on me but every time I hit a bump on I40 all kinds of lights came on the dashboard. The initial 20' truck was loud after starting it, and could tell that no one cleaned it, in or outside. I called customer support to receive another truck with no issue. I was told I was put on auto pay.i wanted to prepay but was told not I couldn't bc I was on autopay I was not and was charged a late fee I paid the fees and the next day came to close my storage account as I said I would when I paid. The lock was still on the unit despite being paid up. Office staff said they were uhaul and storage guy wasn't in She had an attitude about having to remove the lock storage unit contained water damage from previous leak and a rat trap. Won't be back. Wouldn't recommend. I've had other storage units on auto pay without problems. Not sure what the drama is with this location. The people were not personable at all. They didn't tell me that I had to have a certain type of lock on my storage unit. I put my own on there and came back the next day, they had put their own lock on there and didn't give me the keys untill I paid for the lock. No warnings that they would be putting a lock on there.
