We were told we had to bring the trailer back to that location, it was a 24 hour rental. Which I did at 7:15pm that evening. We tried to ask the employee helping us to help us figure the app out as my Aunt was trying to figure out because we would be returning after hours. Well that's just a scam, nothing we tried with the employee which said I don't know as my Aunt is showing asking her why the information isn't going through and taking her in circles. When we return it I try calling and downloading the app with no luck. Waited over 2 minutes on the phone the call back option was 57-67 minutes. I put my phone number in a no call back! I call back on Wednesday speak with Cody Johnson who tells me no I can't get my $20. back cause I should have waited and call back immediately. I live in Milwaukee and most companies call back. This after hour check in is a scam for Uhaul to make money! You charge the price for the rental rate which should be the fee, but them charge a rental charge also that's not right also. I was asking for the $20 fee back and nope. Like Uhaul isn't making enough money that you cheating people out of more money! I will be rating and doing a review on that particular store, added fee's, and the app that the employee couldn't even help us with that takes your in circles!
Angel ANothing. If you want to just grasp for something, you could imagine an app / website that would tell you which "bay" or marked parking spot the equipment would be located in along with a robot to do the hookup. And these suggestions would not make be buy solely from U-Haul so not worth the expense for the tiny customer and/or company benefit.

Daniel FGetting key from lock box was hard to see letters. #4 was kinda awkward to get open. Checking in online took a while had to redo twice didn't know how to go back previous page. Had to take $19.95 sign out of window. Didn't feel that I should have been responsible for the sign. When I left gas gauge said 328 miles to E after I filled up it said 378 miles to E. Mentioned this to counter rep showed pictures. Before and after. He didn't know why it said that. Just said I didn't owe anything and the van was full. Was there something wrong with gas gauge??
Vicki SI spent time pre ordering on line, but I still had to wait almost 30 minutes to pick up my van. NUTS!!! Why would I spend a half hour ahead of time, it I have to spend it when I get there, regardless. Also, I only used my van for two hours and drove less than 12 miles, but I got charged almost $20 for gas fees, even tho the gauge was the SAME as it was when I picked it up as when. dropped it off. If your billable hourly rate is over $200 it is NOT worth spending time on the phone over this baloney. But they bank on the fact that you won't take the time to call and complain.
Terri SQuick, easy, in and out. The woman that helped me did all the work unhooking the trailer and getting it out of the way. We were at the site for the drop off for no more than 5 minutes. Great customer service!

Tanishia DI would recommend never using Uhaul services. The experience was a nightmare, I am grateful it happened. I've used U haul many times, and no issue. However, the moment I did I realized how unhelpful, unorganized and ultimately if anything did happen on the side of the road, you would be very serious you know what. This issue I had, I stupidly locked keys in the Cab at U haul facility. Facility did not have a spare key. The Attendee handed me a sheet with a QR Code for Roadside Assistance (coat hanger would have been more helpful). Had to refill all my information out with UHaul Roadside Assistance Rep. Asked how long stated it would be 10 minutes till they were there. Turns out she misspoke. It would be 10 Minutes before she would know how long it would be. I wait and am told it would be 60 minutes before they would be there (4 Hours later when the gentleman showed up). In the meantime, I get a text from a Mover Affiliated with U-Haul saying the job has been canceled. I never elected, mentioned, hired a mover. I call to see why I'm being contacted by them. Apparently U Haul Roadside Assistance sent them a moving job associated to me, they canceled cause the order was for a locksmith. System just sent automatically the cancellation. The whole experience from not having a spare at their facility, to handing me a sheet and sending me on my way, to having to refill out all my info with the same company. To being told bad information, and a real zinger of a Text. Imagine being out in the middle of nowhere...getting a Locksmith for 200.00 stung, but thank God I didn't drive off the lot and somethimg more serious occured... screwed screwed screwed. U haul will stick it to you. Lesson learned. This gets better, even the damn form I am filling out you have the mover listed so I can rate... too funny
Kris WI have rented Uhauls in the past and honestly it was a nightmare. This last time the whole process went seamlessly. No issues, easy to do. I do think it was a little pricey to rent a van for 3 hrs at $90. But i am always more interested in the ease of process and the customer service. I would recommend this location. I also appreciate that it was a newer vehicle to drive as I had to go on the highway. Easier to drive.

Richard F | First ImpressionsI rented an indoor unit for over a year, and I don’t regret my choice. I was trying to get another company (Blue Barn Storage), but was an unpleasant experience. At the end I checked back UHaul and a unit became available. The process was simple to rent it and to close the contract as well. The staff is very helpful and the place incredibly clean. I recommend Uhaul to anyone looking for a good place to store their valuables.

Robert BThe staff was cooperative and competent. My concern is the computer system, which running slowly, at least was accessible. On a previous occasion at a different UHaul site, the computers were also down, making rental impossible. I suspect the computer system is a problem.
FREDERICK WI chose to rent in person, as opposed to using the app. This took a bit of time because it was right at opening time. Other than that, the rental went quite smoothly. Vehicle performed well and was in good, clean shape when I picked it up. Returning the vehicle was easy and quick.

DEANNA OThe local store did fine. I am not happy with U-Haul over all however and will probably never use you again or recommend to someone else. We rented a van for a week and then extended a second week as our other van was still being repaired. When the repair was still not quite done, we called about extending even more time but we thought we would not need it for a full week. The person on the phone said "Dont worry as when you drop it off, we will calculate the charges and apply the method that is the least costly". I said "fine". Well, I come to find out that is not the case. I would have been better off returning the van after two weeks and then re-renting it for the 3rd week as the last week was just few days and was only being used in the immediate area (low miles). This would have saved me about $300.00. When I called and asked about this, the rep thought that it could be adjusted but that a supervisor would need to look at it. When I talked to the supervisor (who has a horrible sounding phone connection), she wouldn't budge on what I think was misinformation or at least not complete information that I was given. So you are successful in screwing me out of $300.00 but you lost a future customer as it is the "principle" of how I work with others that matters to me. six zero eight five three one one eight eight three
bill sMy only complaint is that there was no ramp. I was told this size truck has no ramp, which is totally ridiculous.
Gary Hon 5.5.26 - visited Janesville location and the young man working that day from the noon to 4 time frame we had the rental, well, we can't say enough about how positive he was and the outstanding customer service he was providing .. not only us, but the customers before us. I feel bad I didn't get his name, but I'm sure you can find it on your records. Keep him, he is a Gem!

Mariusz SEverything went alright. The trailer is used has been HEAVILY used and abused. The floor in it has several dips which made loading my motorcycle difficult and unstable. Also it would be nice if uhaul would have different rates. I can rent a trailer for 1 hour for the same price as 24 hours. I had the trailer for about 90 minutes. Its fine and my own choice just would be nice if there was a better price for times like this.

TIANA WWe had to last minute drive 35 minutes farther to pick up truck from a different location than intended. It was an inconvenience and then they charged us for the extra milage (24 miles over) and we had to drive the truck back to our home 30 miles extra. I don't understand how we could have known to take into account extra miles ahead, when our pick up location changed the day before without our option. Not impressed.

Colleen BI Had to drive 30mins to pick up truck as my closest location, the dollies I had requested were not in the truck. I had called the friday before this to varify with customer service. The place I picked up was closed so I couldnt ask about them. The truck had broken glass and cigarette buds I noticed well after when loading stuff.

My only complaint is that, because the main light is motion-sensored,if you spend long enough time inside the unit everything will go dark. I solved that by buying a head light at Amazon,so I did not have to go out in the hallway all the way where the lights were and wave my hands. If we could have a light source in the units that is not motion -triggered it would be helpful. Other than that,I would recommend it and use it again,without hesitation.

I had the unit for 2 days before I said something to the girl at the front desk, she looked for another unit and said there wasn't one anyways. I didnt even want a new unit I want my money back! I'm fed up with the whole experience! And do not want to spend my money on a place like that! And there's water damage on the ceiling above the unit with holes in the ceiling, I have pictures of it all! The girl didn't give my money back but said I could keep the lock...gheeee!! Thanks!!

The door to the storage wouldn't open all the way because of pipes from the building in the way. My bigger furniture wouldn't fit because of that(i took pictures)Also the ceiling to my unit has part of the ceiling missing with water damage above my unit. (I took pictures). The front desk lady was going to see about another unit but because I'm fed up with the whole experience I don't want another one and she also said she didn't have another one that size anyway... so that wouldn't have been helpful anyways. Not even a tiny refund was suggested! And I've only had it for 2 days. But I get to keep the lock she said...cool!
Jessamin R | Online Move InWhen I arrived at the storage facility they did not have a reservation for me. After a half an hour of back and forth it turns out they had one available to accommodate me. The storage unit was all the way in the back of the facility and they would not allow us to pull up to the garage door to unload. We had to bring everything down two long hallways. There were no lights above my storage unit and the lights in the hallway were not close enough to illuminate the unit. The contract stated that it was a split level unit, it was not. When I asked the manager about it he said that a small area of about 4 ft was considered the split level area. The size of the storage unit was also smaller than what was stated in the contract. I was given a smaller unit than what I had reserved and charged more per month than I was quoted. I contacted customer service in May and never received a follow up call. I also mentioned it to the manager upon check in and check out and nothing was done to reimburse me or rectify the situation. I definitely will not be using or recommending UHaul for my future moves or storage needs.

kate f | Overall ExperienceI have had 3 recent contacts with the uHaul store in Janesville, WI on Milwaukee St -- I had a trailer hitch placed on my truck, rented a 6x12 trailer to pick up in Colorado and return to this location, and took advantage of the free 30 days storage. We frequently use this location for business matters and have always had good service. The staff that I dealt with during these transactions were exceptional. I was under the gun to get the trailer hitch placed - it was ordered 7-10 days out and still not in when promised - the young man I dealt with called around and found one in Love's Park, a CSA drove down there to pick it up, and they stayed late to make sure the hitch was properly installed. When I was contacted to say the hitch wasn't in, the young man had already come up with solutions and made sure that I knew he was doing everything possible to make this happen. When I returned the trailer and rented the storage unit, the process was quick and painless and he even backed the trailer up for me. :-) Couldn't have been more happy with how things went and the team I worked with! Well done!
