The truck worked fine for what we needed locally for 4 hrs., but I wouldn't have wanted to drive it a long wayâ€¦had a vibration at about 65 on interstate and the steering wheel was off at about a 2 to 7 angle instead of 3 to 9 typically..felt like it wanted to steer left when driving straight. Needs some suspension and alignment work I think.ROBERT D.

Please make sure all Uhaul information is the same online and when talking to personnel in stores. We were told when we picked up the Uhaul truck that we would be charged $0.40 per each additional mile. When we returned the truck (after hours so it was totally online) we were actually charged $1.00 per each additional mile. That is a huge difference in cost and we were unhappy that the information we were initially told was not correct.Micah C.

I've had a overd4aft to my bank card from them that was never fixed with a trailer reservation, however besides this, I have had a horrible experience with one worker who constantly had a attitude about me paying my bill. I thought the check in and out process was very good. At the end of my check-in process the nice young man asked me if I had any questions. I usually do have questions but I felt that he covered everything so well that I had no questions. The registration process on the web site was very efficient which made the check-in process run smoother. The young man that brought me my vehicle was very nice. The checkout process was just as efficient as check-in in that it took very little time to get me on my way. All in all I was very impressed. I will not hesitate to use U-haul and this location again. I can't think of a single thing I would change. Good job!!!David P.
I was charged $87.25 to install a wiring harness that I provided during a hitch installation. I had planned to do it myself but allowed Uhaul to perform the five minute task while they were putting the new hitch on. I was not told there would be a charge much less an hour's labor rate minimum. I should have refused to pay but did so thinking I could work things out with the manager later since he was not there at the time. It did not work out and was told I was paying for equipment and expertise. I had to return the vehicle to have a tailpipe grommet reattached since it was left off by the experts. I was told the rattle was due to the play in the receiver hitch and had to actually show them the dangling tailpipe. I emailed the manger once again and there was no apology or reimbursement for my time and expense for bringing the vehicle back. Very poor customer service! The store looked great and was clean. I just did not have a good experience especially being told that I should be happy that their charge was just a one hour minimum vs. 2 hours that others charge. I ordered a hitch, wiring harness and install on 9/20/22 online. there was only one hitch and one harness to select, Install date 9/27/22 0930. At around 0830 that day I received a call that the installer will not install that harness because it splices into the wiring. He stated that there is another harness he can order and that will take a week. on 10/4/22 I called the store, but only the machine answered, called the 1-800 number, only options for rental nothing else and no option for operator. On website was an option to request a call back. Choose that, received a call around 15 minutes later, operator called store, no success, sent email but didn't know when they will read. Later the day I stopped at the store, since I didn't get contacted, upon check harness didn't even ship. He called around and found a harness in KT, overnight shipping, should be there on Wednesday. Wednesday at the store: harness arrived, but hitch is still out for delivery (supposed to be there a week earlier) Thursday at store: hitch arrived, install on Friday 1100. Dropped of on Friday, estimated install? around an hour. I received a call 3h later that my vehicle is ready. Thank you and have a great day V/RMarkus G.

They do not have trash facilities on site which means if you are driving out of state to Uhaul destination you,are supposed to take your trash with you. I do not have pockets that big and then they wanted to charge me for cleaning the vehicle in which i had already paid 1500 with 300 off to take it to out of city jurisdiction. For the most part the staff at the Johnson City, TN location was helpful and friendly; however, on one occasion, when I first purchased the storage locker, an employee I recognized contacted my when I was in another state and notified me that my storage locker wasn't locked when actually it was. I unable to return to lock it back, I spent nearly $50 to FedEx UHaul the key so it could be locked securely. In reality, it was just that I placed the lock on the second hole. When I went back in after loading my units, and realized that I didn’t need a third unit. The women who helped me was upset that I had my big unit because she had booked it three weeks ago for someone else, but I have had my reservations since December. Either need a better way for people who make reservations through the app or online to register within your system better or your people to check those reservations first.
