Well how about telling us the actual price. I was told all the wrong information by someone who did my order from my reservation. He didn’t work in sales he was a Mechanic and did know what he was talking about and we didn’t find that out until we were 700 miles and 4 days into the trip. ??

Two things. The trailer I rented was not clean. It had asphalt remnants (mostly dry, but still somewhat sticky) on the floor. Also some deck screws laying on the floor. Not a huge deal, but it was not cleaned properly prior to being made available for rent. Store worker thought they had used it themselves for some driveway or parking lot repairs. Wow... Second, reserved for one day, confirmed by email, for Saturday June 3rd. Received a call from u-Haul 417-887-5832 about 8:38pm on Friday stating that they had expected me to pick up my rental earlier that morning. I advised that my rental was for Saturday, perhaps I had made a mistake when I reserved. She fixed it in the uHaul system. I later confirmed that my email confirmation had me down for Saturday, for a single day rental. i had been correct all along, but uhaul thought i should have picked up Friday. Now on the day of the rental, the salesman put me down for a 7pm return (their closing time), that same day even though i'd be returning after hours that night (about 9:00pm), so I would only be billed for a single day. Al that was fine. I got a bill Monday morning for THREE days rental, charging my card for $113.32, showing I returned the trailer Monday morning at 8:15am. Not sure how uHaul figures 47 hours to be three days in any case! :) But certainly it should have been for only on day (less than 12 hours). I called and the man fixed it for me, but it seems as though there were several problems in the uHaul system. All that being said, the store was clean, the people were helpful and friendly, etc. Thanks, Todd

NOT the clerk's fault (Jimmy)..first trailer the lights wouldn't all work...granted we had trouble on our personal vehicle at first with light receptacle not going in all the way, but when it did finally click in, our assigned trailer still would not light up all the way..I had to talk him in to changing out the electrical harness and when that also didn't work, we had to 'suggest' trying the trailer next to it...which everything worked like magic! So we spent a lot of time on the lot before we could go do our job. I would say a little more thorough checking out of your equipment a head of time would make your customer a lot more happy. PLUS...I had initially wanted the 4x8..which they had...which was reserving, but but then they found out it was not allowed out b/c it needed service...THEN GET IT OFF YOUR LOT!!!!

Iy was great. There was a glitch in the system when we called to extend our reservation for an additional day, but by the time we turned in the van yesterday all was taken care of. Super nice folks there at the store and quick and easy return

I do not understand why you have an app if you have to rehash everything when you arrive in the store to pick up your rental. Seems to me to be pointless to have an account with your app.

Make sure there aren’t cigarette butts in the vehicle and you have a guy working for you that is very rude and disrespectful to customers

The trailer I rented was full of sticks and debris plus it had a whiskey bottle in it! The gentlemen were good at getting us took care of but I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the rental at all. Especially when I returned it a couple of hours later and the next clerk was trying to charge me for the mess that was there from the start! He blamed it on the location of your new facility and said that there is no way that they could keep the vagrants from the area from littering up the trailer! But they could of cleaned it out before renting it!!!! Overall not bad but not great either.

The associate helping us could not answer any of our questions, the truck was dirty inside, there were scrapes and gouges on the outside of the truck not marked and when we asked about getting them marked his response was "if you think its necessary". Since I don't want to be charged for damages YES its necessary. This location is brand new and they have storage inside with signs that says "look inside" we even asked if it was ok to see how big the units were and were told yes. When we opened a door an alarm went off and no associates offered to help even though it was really difficult to get it closed again and the latch done. Over all really disappointing.

Forgot to mention that voltage gauge seemed to act strange-my opinion. The gauge jumped from just about 11 volts up to over 14 and back and forth. the van never acted up or failed to start, but in over 50+ years of driving, I've never driven a vehicle that the gauge did this up and down fluctuation for miles at a time. Maybe nothing, but I feel the charging system should be inspected..Other than that, I received the same top flight service I've grown to expect from U-Haul, my go to team for moving.

DO NOT USE THE 1410 7th Street location unless you want a bunch of headache and problems. I scheduled an appointment for a trailer hitch to be installed weeks before the date I was arriving to get it. Upon arrival, it took about three hours. When I asked why it was taking so long, they then said they didn’t have the wiring kit that was needed and that it would take an additional hour to hardwire it (which I was not about to let them do.) They then said they could finish installing the hitch and order the smart wiring kit to install later, which they were already supposed to have (due to us ordering the install ahead of time.) When leaving, I said that I would be picking up someone from the airport at 11:45 and coming right over to have the wiring completed and trailer put on. The employee stated that he would schedule me for 2pm, (in case we wanted to eat lunch or anything,) but that I could come at any time because an installer would be here all day. He also started he would waive the install fee on my wiring/trailer for my troubles and that it would “take about 20 minutes.” Once I left, I discovered that they did not give me back the cover plate of my car (that covers where my tow hitch goes.) In addition, one of the employees left a vape pen on my back bumper, which I had to drive back and return and collect the cover for my car. When I arrived on April 12th at approximately noon, they said that my appointment was at 2pm and that the rest of the schedule was full. We waited around in Joplin for almost two hours and then got to our 2pm appointment early. They pulled my car in for my 2pm appointment at 2:50. Keep in mind we were told we could come at 1145. The 20m wiring job ended up taking almost an hour, and once we went to hook the trailer on, the employee asked where the ball was, which we were never given. He then had to go back in and get a ball to put on the car.

They’re liars. I was told to bring the truck back between 1/4 and 1/2 a tank of gas which I did. I was then charged 8.75 for fuel for a 10 mile total trip. Almost 40 dollars for a 10 mile round trip. Horrible. Bad attitudes. Liars. Get everything in writing and double check everything or better yet go anywhere else.

Only issue was truck was near empty on gas but they informed me and told me adding gas above that level would provide me a credit so I could return with more gas than picked up. The return was fast, efficient and thorough showing me they pay attention to details so the next renter gets a truck in good working condition. The guys were also friendly and that is a nice touch. I definitely recommend this Joplin UHaul site to others.

The guy I talked to on the phone the morning that I set up my rental was not at all friendly or forthcoming with information. He acted like I was annoying him for calling and setting up the reservation. He also neglected to let me know that they'd recently moved to a new location. They'd only been in the new place for a month or so. Since I'd imagine most people don't rent trailers regularly, it would have been nice for a heads up letting me know that of their new location. Instead, I drove to the old location, saw the sign on the door, and had to find the new one on my own. It wasn't exactly difficult, but I expected better. When I did finally track down the new location to pick up the trailer, he didn't bother to let me know that the price I paid would cover me for 24 hours, and instead just told me that they closed at 7. After rushing around trying to get the work done so we could have it back before they closed, I realized that it wasn't going to happen and called to see how much extra it would cost me to keep it overnight and bring it back in the morning. It was then that he told me that I'd actually paid for a 24-hour rental. It was just overall a shitty experience dealing with them. I'll look elsewhere next time.

Tried to give me the wrong truck twice before getting the right one. $19.95 plastered all over the damn thing plus signs everywhere and thats the biggest crock of shit ive ever heard! Just needed it for the day and it was $90 by the time i got out of there and thats with no equipment or supplies or anything. Then i get an email reciept the next day and its $198!!!! I filled it up right before bringing it back so im disputing that $58 charge but the milage at $1.19 a mile really drives that price up along with the fees huh? If you know good and well its not gonna cost anywhere near $19.95 and people are going to be paying hundreds of dollars instead then dont put that greasy bullshit all over your trucks and signs.

Your truck share service is a joke. I rented a 15' moving truck. You guys gave me the code and told me it was compartment box number 3. That code went to compartment box number 1 and with keys to an 8' pickup truck that was damaged and had no gas in it. The live chat was no help. I went ahead and just took the truck even though I paid for something bigger. I had the truck for a little over 24 hours. I was extremely tired after having to make twice as many trips due to the smaller truck that I had just planned on taking the truck back Wednesday morning instead of Tuesday night. I woke up to my house surrounded by Joplin Police at 1:30 in the morning beating on my door and saying that the Uhaul was stolen. The cops wouldn't give me my niece's stuff that was in the cab of the truck including her purses, and other personal belongings. I will never use uhaul services again and will tell everyone I know about my experience.
