I was expected to return the rental at 10:00 on a Thursday morning. I don't understand this in that my reservation to pick up was at 10:30. I was thinking I was to have it returned at 11. I was told it was to be there at 10:00????? I arrived at 11 and dropped it off, explaining to the young woman the situation. I thought it was fine. I am throughly disappointed now to see that I was charged for an extra day. If this is the kind of service at that location - I will not go there again. I have used this location several times over the past few years and never been treated or ignored like I was here. You can rest assured I will not do business with them again. If having to have a trailer back at one hour earlier than when I left with it three days before is the policy, I am not pleased. Even more, to be told by the young woman it was okay, no problem and then. to be charged an addition $30.49 for that I don't want to do business with a company that takes that kind of approach.

I had planned on using the rental to move more stuff than what I did but the truck was all over the road. I felt very unsafe. I was very unhappy. When I mentioned it was all over the road when I returned it was told he would see about getting it aligned. Meanwhile I still have a ton to move! I will not be going back there!

Billy was excellent, helping us with getting the truck, later helping the ladies with the big tv box and especially when the check engine light came on one block from the house on our 11 hour drive. He was very professional and patient and checked the codes and cleared the emissions error and got us on the road as quickly as possible! Please let him know we very much appreciated all he did for us!!!

Truck was missing a pressure sensing tire cap that caused the truck to think that there was low pressure in one of the tires. When I pointed this out to the employee he told me not to worry about it that the tire pressure was fine. Note that because of this I had to check the pressure in all the tires several times a day during my cross country drive.

service your trucks and add a few miles to the lease. Most people don't live in town and need a few extra miles to get unloaded and back to town for fuel.

greatly appreciate being open on sunday, and later on sunday than others. have always had good service here. just seems to be understaffed, which I'm sure is a perpetual challenge. have experienced some great u-haul places in the country that come right out when you pull up to return. not always the case, here. have to often get out and go in after waiting as the sign says to do. but I still appreciate this site as the best in the joplin area.

Employee said gas tank was all the way to full...it was not. I put $7.50 in gas for a 20 mile usage plus the .79 cents a mile. So, I returned it completely with a full tank of gas. I know this isn't much money but it's the principal...if you say it's full, it better be full.

Ryan Nelson from your Joplin, MO office went above and beyond call of duty to assist us in getting our pods delivered to our new home on a timely basis as we had being living in a hotel for 38 days until acquisition of our house was completed. Bailey Nelson diligently delivered the last 3 pods at 9:30PM which is also another splendid "above and beyond call of duty" service for your customer. We highly recommend U-Haul's Excellent Customer Service and Efficiency to everyone seeking a cost-effective cross-country relocation!

I was forced to pay for the whole month of a storage unit when I used only 14 days of the month. When I originally paid for the month(because they don't offer weekly rates) they said i wold be prorated and refunded the excess since I wouldn't be using the whole month. I moved out. Didnt get any money back then was told it was too bad. My loss. When they can rent the unit for the remainder of the 2 weeks and still have the money I paid for those 2 weeks. Its really crappy and ridiculous that Uhaul can double rent basically.

The person who checked us in the first time couldn't find our contract on the computer, in spite of us giving the phone numbers that are posted on the contract. My husband thought he had left it where we were staying, but later found it in his pocket. The attendant could find it on his phone, not the computer. Even though we had been told we didn't need to have a paper contract, we did , and were glad we were able to produce it, even if it was late.

I returned my 10 foot uhaul that I rented for 4-6 hours. I was on the parking lot as the uhaul representative was observing equipment and settling Bill, he told me it would be $55.00, I told him it was on the side of the truck priced at $19.99 not $39.99 then he added $15.00 more dollars to make it $5500 I said do I need to go inside and get this settled right? He said no won't do you any good. I went inside and spoke to general manager my card had already been charged $55.00 he did refund to my card but it took 3 days to get my money back. This should never have happened! Every time I come there for a truck I get some kind of run around rather it's the fuel not being where they say it is when contract us signed or charges on my card that are not necessary. I have rented there numerous times and I can never get out of there and call the experience pleasant. It is always something not right. I should not have to fight for u Haul to be honest I their business and not try to gouge mineyout come that I do not owe.

Truck did not have a full tank of gas although they told me it did. I immediately told the guy who checked me out in the truck. He said he'd mark it down that it only has a quarter tank. He didnt! I had taken a picture of it before I left and when I turned it in of course they argued with me. This is the second time dealing with this particular location and there is a girl that works There and it really seems like she knows what she's doing. The rest act like they are stoners.

Patricia calls and says, the truck I rented is past due, and I explain it was picked up at 10:30 because the Homestead storage place by my house where I had reserved the truck didn't have it so I call uhaul they explain orange box code, not working then up Pops unavailable on my verification email, so wasted 2.5 hours to get one in Joplin. Then have to explain to them truck is on lot if they want me to send pictures of mileage and past full gas gauge with number on key ring as dropping in drop box Patricia tells me oh I guess we will look on the lot. Shouldn't you have done that first. You say the calls are recorded so listen to it. The whole process was a cluster and clearly nobody knows what they are doing and reserving online a joke or a scam you tell me.

this pick up location insisted the truck leave with a 1/4 tank of fuel and should be returned with the same, this is crazy it should go out this a full tank and be returned with a full tank all dealers should be consistent on this

I would not recommend U-Haul to anyone. This is such a shitshow and i will tell everyone i know to never use this company. The lack of common sense and care is what shocked me. You honestly made moving even more stressful.

Had a check engine light on when warming up the truck, very responsive and came out to get it resolved. Also was unable to get the web program to work on my phone, but they got me taken care of with no delay or problems.

First off the manager misread the fuel gauge when we went and inspected the vehicle. He marked it wrong on the contract . After using the vehicle, I filled the vehicle up to the fuel level I was dispatched with and returned it. The U-Haul employees then tried to charge me $30 extra dollars to fill up the tank with supposed loss of gas I didn't refill according to the system. I then showed them the contract and explained I had only driven 18 miles and filled the tank back to where I was left with it and they continued to argue and try to charge me. They wouldn't call a manager and told me to next time read the contract or don't come here. So very rude staff and not very welcoming of their customers.

Busy location, but got in and out fairly quickly with only a couple of people working inside and out. Courteous staff, quick to respond and awesome service, the truck was a great value and I'll be back next time I need to rent one.

Everything was great I would give it five stars but when we made the call for reserving the unit I told them we had a 10’ truck full w/ apartment stuff tried to give us a 8x12x6 on a second floor.
