The uhaul.com/share experience was awful. It wouldn't recognize my location even though all the settings were correct on my phone. Wouldn't let me proceed even though I returned the vehicle to the location from which I got it. Called 800 number and was on hold for 40 minutes. Sitting on a dark parking lot waiting wasn't what I wanted to be doing at night.RANDY F.

I have used U-Haul several times over the past year. I have been very happy with the service and pricing... until my last rental. The same trailer that I paid $30/day for a 2-day rental less than one year ago just cost me over $400. I had no choice, so I had to pay. Absolutely ridiculous!Jeffrey L.

The Van was clean, however the dashboard ABS light, towing Collision avoidance light, Anti-Skid light and one more light were prominent on the dash and couldn't be cleared. The other van was the victim of criminal property damage and I feel for the workers at this locale. However, as a company, U-Haul needs to do more to ensure that more tech support is given, if a call is given that a vehicle is down.lance H.

I was overcharged by 153.00$ for 1 mile over the amount of miles charged. Now I have to sleep on the street for the night because of this. No I'm not joking. The manager did not want to stay to help me. Obviously there is a clerical issue here. $153.00 for 1 mile over is atrocious. The employees were laughing over this. I p did not find the billing system to be above very poor. Originally set up as auto pay. Didn't accept payment. Got call late and charged $20. Paid that bill on line 1 week later collection called again and charged another $30 and raised my rate from 75 to 129/month. PAIID AGAIN!!!! Called to dispute, Manage was suppose to call me. No one there cared about having a job. A times, all the employees would be outside smoking while we were waiting on a truck. Clearly, they couldn't make the truck appear faster, but it was bad practice to have them all outside smoking. Also, why do I have to repeat the same questions I answered on the online waiver to an employee? I reserved a 10ft uhual a month in advance. The day before around 7:30pm I was told there wasn't any available and I would be upgraded to a 15ft for free. Huge inconvenience considering I barely had enough stuff to fill a 10ft uhual. When arriving at the location and telling them this they just dismissed me. Told me to put my card in real fast and to pay and they would see what they could do considering I was driving over 500 miles and would now have to pay an extra 20% in gas because of your mistake and carelessness to give me the correct equipment. After paying, they then said well actually since you paid we can't do anything now, you will have to ask the people when you return it to give you some sort of discount. Super unprofessional and an outright lie by your emoloyees. When we arrived at the place to return it they told me that the other employees lied and they couldn't do anything since they didn't receive any money on their end. Would never recommend this company to anyone. Highly unprofessional employees and even after reserving a uhual an entire month ahead I still didn't receive the correct one, even though there were over 25 uhual places around me I could have got the truck from.KAITLYN E.

Rented trailer with a bad tire. Couldn't change it...took over an hour to try to air it up. I told them it wouldn't hold. By the time I got home it was flat. A couple of trailers came in while I was there. I asked if we could simply exchange trailer, the answer was a flat no no reason given. Once the staff realize there was an issue they kept avoiding me took them over an hour to tell me that they simply couldn't fix the tire and I could take the trailer anyway to me that was unacceptable so once I took the trailer home I had to call roadside assistance and stay up to almost midnight so he can come out and fix that tire so basically I paid for a half a day's rental and wasn't even able to use the equipment. I knew I was in trouble when the young man tried to air up the tire without a air Chuck on the end of the holes. I had to point that out which is really sad. Unless these people get better trained in their customer service and actual hands on experience to deal with problems I'll simply buy my own trailer and be done with it because this wasn't even worth the time wasted. Truck wasn't ready when I arrived & I was late. Was supposed to be able to do online check-in but had to go inside & do everything I'd already done online. The sales person did not make me aware the truck had 1/4 tank of gas. I was in a hurry after running late then having to wait longer. From past experience with Uhaul you are to return the truck with a full tank of gas. Therefore I filled the tank. Took my receipt to the manager & he just said oh well it says here 1/4 tank so I'm not refunding your gas money. The truck leaked during a rain we had while my items were inside as well. Now I've been sitting on the phone for 30 min to talk to Corp repKRISTI M.

Get your app system in order. I arrived at 9 to pick up my truck. I found it and the app told me to go inside and get the key. The guy looked at my phone, looked at the keys and took off. There was s a mess in the system. It took until 10:30 to get out of there. Then, the contract said the truck has a full tank but as I started driving I realized it only had 3/4 of a tank. I spent $50 filling up when I only used 1/8 of a tank not 3/8. This was a mess and I should get a discount and a refund.Christopher J.
Not only did you make me believe my belongings were safe and secure, you lead me to believe I had piece of mind. Both the afore mentioned comments are false. My whole family stored our belongings in a u-haul facility, and because we made this mistake we are left with nothing. Every single item was stolen in broad daylight, while your employees watched. I have the only key card, part of your top notch security, yet somehow it was bypassed and intruders gained entry to my unit. I purchased my keys from you, yet other people had the same keys. The video recording obviously was not functioning because if it had been, this would have been resolved already. So, in conclusion, my experience with u-haul was the nightmare i wake up to daily. Precious belongings that can never be replaced have vanished and your doing nothing. I have waited for over three weeks for a response and so far, other than the general manager of the joplin 7th Street location next to wal mart, accusing me of stealing my own things and being anything but helpful I have not heard or seen anything to facilitate or remedy this horrendous tragedy. I reserved a pickup truck. I arrived and it was waiting for me and this was verified with the quick check-in app. While I was waiting to get the truck one of the staff drive off with it. I had to wait 45 minutes for him to return. He apologized but didn't try to discount my charge. It took longer for me to wait than the actual time I used the truck and that included putting gas in the truck. I heard one staff say, if he leaves again (referring to the staff who left with the truck I reserved) I'll burn this place down. I have used this location before and staff were top notch. The only problem was the employees had a LOT of problems with the computer systems and I had to modify my reservations several times to try to get them right. I ended up cancelling all my reservations and starting over again because either the employee or the computer system messed them up. I'm glad I had time to deal with this issue. Most people do not. I rented a climate controlled storage unit and when I showed up I was told it wasn't a guarantee and wasn't available. I had even called after reserving the unit and was told it would be available. Having a reservation number and email telling me I have a unit, but showing up and it not being available is a horrible way to do business. When I was moving my stuff in. There was a couple hanging out in or in front of their unit in the hallway. I was on my way back out to get another load when I came around the corner, I startled the couple & the smell of paint about knocked me out. I couldn't get outside to the fresh air quick enough before I thought I would choke to death. Since this facility is supposed to be monitored 24 hours a day 7 days a week that behaviour was very upsetting cause they are not only putting their life endanger they also put mine as well. And they werent the only people I saw or definately could smell what they were doing either. Not sure if I will keep my belongings in this facility very long. For over three weeks one of the two bay doors to pull in and unload has been broken did talk to front desk with no results. Asked for a specific locker number because it was close to the loading area and was moving big heavy furniture without much help and was told it was rented and for a month no one ever moved into the locker you can tell by the tag on the door. Went to rent a truck and was told none are available when the lot was literally full of trucks. It seems like staff is honestly just lazy. Storage unit had many bugs inside and mice droppings/urine. We did not have any food items stored in the unit. When asked, management said it was our problem. Recently, we were notified that during an inspection they found that our unit no longer had a lock on it. They said they would place a lock on it and that we needed to visit the office the next time we were in to get it unlocked. When we visited the office they did not have a key. No one had actually secured the unit. The worker also informed me that there was no way anyone could actually cut my lock off without ruining their door (it was a special storage unit lock, circular, and a combination lock). It is a mystery how it disappeared, but did not make me feel very safe. Fortunately, we did not see any missing items.emily f. | Overall Experience
I was forced to pay for the whole month of a storage unit when I used only 14 days of the month. When I originally paid for the month(because they don't offer weekly rates) they said i wold be prorated and refunded the excess since I wouldn't be using the whole month. I moved out. Didnt get any money back then was told it was too bad. My loss. When they can rent the unit for the remainder of the 2 weeks and still have the money I paid for those 2 weeks.
