Scott CNothing. Staff was friendly and helpful and when I was sent to my truck and noticed the broken side mirror there was zero hesitation in moving me into a new vehicle. Would use again/will use again and will recommend to anyone looking to rent a UHAUL.
Steve RTruck was not well maintained. Driver's side mirror was not attached to its holder. I adjusted the side mirror before leaving the lot. After driving maybe one mile to meet up with a friend, I had to adjust the mirror again as it had significantly moved. Efforts to try to adjust the mirror while driving were futile. When at a safe location I investigated and found that the mirror could be completely taken out of it's socket. This made driving very unsafe. I did not return to the store after my initial discovery of the defective equipment due to time factors. I did let an employee know of the defective equipment at 5:15pm when I returned the truck. He said he would let someone know this morning.
Susan MWhen going in to pick up the trailer I had used the pre-check-in scanned in my license and went through the entire check in process. Apparently this is a waste of time with your system and it's not just with this location. It's with any location I ever go to. Your systems do not communicate. I had to go through it again when I went in. The credit card machine was not working so they had to manually enter my number even though once again I had done everything on your app already and none of it transferred over. The young man I picked up the trailer with was great. The gentleman that came out upon return of the trailer absolutely was not. He was aggressive and rude upon returning the equipment. I set and waited for a few minutes. Nobody came out so I got out and disconnected the trailer and dropped it in the drop off area. This gentleman then came out agitated that I had dropped the trailer and repeatedly kept saying about how we are supposed to hook up and disconnect. You don't get out and do that. You wait for us to come out and do that. Had someone been out there I would have more than happyly allowed them to do it when I showed him the app and said well what's this for then? That's only for if you do it when we're not here and then proceeded to sit there and stare at me the whole time while I was going through the drop off process. I will not use that location again even though they've got a great selection of equipment. I've had issues with staff there before. I will just simply go to the Battle Creek location from this point forward. I have not had those issues with that store at all. You guys really need to look into getting your app to communicate with your computer system. Your company is far too large to have a system that just doesn't work like that. Customer goes through the time and effort to check in ahead of time on your app, then finds out it was an absolute waste of time cuz it doesn't communicate with your computer system.
JEFFRY AWhere to even start... - Manager acted like he hated his job and everything he had to do he gave a heavy sigh like it was an inconvenience. - Plate number on the app didn't match the truck, more heavy sigh's... because they needed to switch trucks! - Cup holder was broke and with no air ride suspension it about rattled my fillings out, let alone have anything to drink on the 8 hour trip! - Inside of the windshield looked as if someone opened a shook up can that sprayed all over the place, it was nasty - Discovered there was a "hole in the roof" when unloading as things were wet...... it was not visible, it was above a cross bar that was blackened from the water dripping for so long I have using U-Haul for 40 years and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. Somehow I don't thing the CEO has ever rented one of their trucks!
Martin DTerrible and poorly labled parking lot. When i pulled in with a 26ft truck there was nowhere to park and no way to get back out on the street. Only one person at the counter working incredibly slowly with a line out the door. No visible key drop, after i gave up waiting for the staff and checked in via the app i still had to wait 30 minutes just to give the kid the key. Multipleother people with the same problem. Unprofessional and massively understaffed
Parker MThe parking lot had standing water. Some of the vehicles were parked in the water. The staff was very friendly when you approached them, but they did not approach you.

Hugo YEmployees were clearly stoned (why were they driving forklifts and moving pallets of equipment?!). Sign CLEARLY says “stay in vehicle” but they would not come out (nice day too). Place was run down and entry required driving over a curb, due to parked vehicles in the way of entry. This entire location was suspect.

Sidney EI stood by my truck for at least 5 minutes and no one came to check me in. When I went inside the young man at the counter was complaining about the needs of another customer. When I told them I needed to return equipment, they only asked for the keys and said I was good to go. No checking anything on the truck, for gas, or letting me know if there were any additional charges or concerns. Every time I have returned equipment, I have had an associate check me look over the equipment, let me know if there were any concerns, and then tell me if I was good to go. I will not rent or drop off at this location again.

Sunni MFirst, this store is not as clean as it has been in the past. Secondly and the worse complaint is the oder of marijuana in the store. I was only person in store other than employees and i know it was not me. Then when i returned equipment. More of the same. As a customer this does not give me a sense of responsible help and is unprofessional. Lastly, neither of the6x12 cargo trailers had complete working tail lights. Unfortunately I had no choice and had to use one. I do not see me coming back to this location which is sad. My family and I have been customers here for decades. No more.

The only thing that I had an issue with at first was finding the number for the actual Uhaul Service center and Storage Facility that I was working with. I recommend that you ask for their direct number when you are in the facility filling out paperwork so that you do not have to go through the corporate phone tree and answering service which by the way is not very helpful and has proved to be very frustrating compared to working directly with the on site staff members.

During a busy moving season in a college town, the staff was kind enough to move our pickup and return time to ensure we had adequate time for our move. Pick up was smooth, the staff helpful and friendly. There was different staff on duty when we returned the trailer and moved into the storage unit but the service was the same, top notch. Kind, patient, helpful and had a great sense of humor. Would highly recommend U-Haul Moving and Storage of Kalamazoo (1004 Portage Street Kalamazoo, MI).
