I don't appreciate having to provide an additional phone contact. They had my phone number; already photocopied my driver's license and I used a credit card. Once I provided the additional contact they called my mother to verify I was being honest. I'm over 60 years old and your going to question my integrity and bother my mother for a $35 rental?! Low class and sleazy business.

The man working the counter and getting my reservation ready was rude. Told me he was going to go get the trailer for me, came back and gave attitude because he had been waiting for me in the back corner. I was never told that I needed to go there to get hooked up to the trailer. Didn’t speak to me to let me know he was done hooking up the trailer to my car and just walked away. Didn’t realize until I was about to pack the trailer that the 6 blankets I paid for weren’t inside the trailer and he didn’t give them to me. Overall terrible experience.
ALYSSA OWe were charged fuel even though we pull more gas back in the U-Haul truck than what was in the truck when we got it. The representative at the desk allowed someone that walked in ten minutes after I did to get their truck before me and skipped me in line.
Jeffrey NStaff was rude and condescending. The person who created my ticket was friendly, however the lady who I assume is the manager was just nasty to me. She was very condescending and aggressive for no reason. Once my contract was created and I was ready to hook up the trailer to my vehicle I was told to follow an employee out who proceeded to tell me to “fuck off” because he just clocked in and didn’t know what was going on once we got outside and I brought my vehicle around. Thankfully a different employee came over and helped me find the right trailer but the experience was awful and infuriating. I’ve never had an experience like this before with u haul and it’s extremely disappointing. I’ve always had friendly conversations with employees and generally felt they’ve been pleasant until I went to this location. If this was my only experience with U haul I would not use u haul again for my next move.
STEFANO PBe certain to perform a safety check on the equipment. The truck I used needed front end alignment. The drivers side front tire was worn badly and should have replaced. Very dangerous. Windshield wiper blades needed to be replaced. The much more serious issue was the passenger side mirror. When the truck hit rough areas of the pavement, the mirror tilted down so you couldn’t see anything but the ground alongside the truck. Extremely dangerous for lane changes. I deserve a reimbursement for the hassle of stopping to adjust the mirror multiple times. Please consider this in consideration of my future business.

SEAN MStaff was helpful and courteous but sent me out with a tow dolly with worn out straps and two bald tires. I had a blowout 350 miles into my trip and although customer service handled it well the delay (almost 4 hours) caused us to arrive late at our destination.
SCOTT DWhat I will never recommend is your 3rd party moving company. Do not ever rent help with Done Right Moving, the owner sent 2 guys a 17 year old and grand father. Ripped my couch, broke perfume bottles, asking for beer and cigarettes. My family had to help move after paying them. The kid kept asking my husband for help can you help me lift this my grandfather can’t because it’s too heavy, come on…Called and left 2 messages for the owner and had received nothing . Called and put a complaint in with uhal moving and got transferred to the moving. . I had to hire another company to come and complete the job. I can’t believe UHAL wouldn’t step in after hiring these people and putting there name on the line. Very disappointed in the whole situation and to know this kind of behavior is allowed and no one cares. Do not book this moving company unless you want to move yourself Done Right Moving, should not even be in business and has made uhal look very bad. I will never use any 3rd party again and now I’m worried about using uhal due to no response. Think twice people and use caution.

RANDOLPH AEverything ultimately worked out well. When I first arrived, however it was difficult to engage with anyone to pick up my rental. Three people passed by me as I waited at the counter. I was also reprimanded that I need to speak up as she was working on something in the other room. Well, I did and still two people walked by me. I did call the main number and they reached out to somebody locally and then I got a lot of attention. I used U-Haul recently for our home move and that location was excellent. Drop off, however, was a different situation and she was very good and very quick which was appreciated.

Then, the wait time to pickup was considerably longer which delayed me. On return, I had to wait 15 minutes and finally went to locate an employee who could check the trailer in and still had to wait 10 minutes more to park it and complete return. The customer experience was very poor overall if you are in any sort of hurry and you as the customer have to locate people who should be looking to service customers instead of the opposite of what I experienced.

I was in there on 3/13/25 to pick up a rental and my experience was the worst I have ever encountered. There were to male individuals at the service desk, Nicholas and Gabrielle. First, neither acknowledged my present, even though they both saw me come in. I had to say something to get their attention. Nicholas was the individual that helped me but barely, hardly showing an interest. He did not even try to explain the procedure in renting a truck so I had to keep asking questions. Nicholas seemed like I was bothering him and gave a demeanor off as, I don't want to be at my job! Did not show me where in the vicinity the truck might be and told me to look at license plate to find truck. I was dumbstruck but went to go look for truck as I was rushing on time. They were all parked literally touching each other and I was getting frustrated. I marched back in and said I need someone to actually help me. Nicholas just looked up from desk, not saying a word. Gabrielle looked at him because Nicholas didn't respond and said what do you need. I told him I wasn't going to look at every license plate to find the truck and he said it should be out here. My reply was "OMG, you don't know where the truck is or at least point me in the direction it might be? We went outside and Gabrielle finally after 5 minutes told me that you go by digits on key not license plate. It would have been nice to know this from the start but Nicholas told me license plate. I asked Gabrielle to look at back door of U-Haul as it was getting 7 inches from closing and wouldn't close no matter how hard I tried. Gabrielle's response was, "Their all like that to which I replied, "No they are not as I have used some before. A man looking for his own truck replied" Young gentleman, they are not all like that as I rent at least 4 to 6 times a month. Gabrielle just walked away. Did not offer to help put the appliance dolly in truck. My whole morning experience was terrible and it wasn't until I returned the truck 3 hours later did I actually find an employee (Karen-older woman) that actually took pride in her job and was so helpful to me. It seems to me that she should be working the morning desk when most people are picking up trucks as she had such a friendly demeanor, unlike Nicholas! Hats off to Karen for at least making my experience a little better and just knowing that U-Haul actually hires people who do care about their job!

WILLIAM OMy only problem with this facility was the check in person who forgot her role in being customer oriented. Very rude, condescending behavior. Asking for a person to be my emergency contact, she clearly was agitated when she couldn't reach my wife on the phone. She said that she had to reach her on her phone. Most people these days do not answer calls from unidentified sources. I have owned customer oriented businesses for 30+ years and this clerk definitely needs an attitude adjustment. Dropping off the equipment wasn't easy, the app froze. Young man came and said he would take it from here. This was 3:00 pm. I noticed that I did not receive a receipt. I drove back and finally at 7:48 it was checked in. I have been a customer with U-Haul for over 40 years. This one disappointed me mostly with the lady at the counter.
STEVEN WThe front office was staffed by only 1 person; it would be prudent on the part of U-haul to have at least 2. The reason for my suggestion is at noon time I only had to wait 5 minutes, however, when I was wrapping up there were 5 people behind me waiting to be served.

Brian BFor those walking their storage items in to the building it was inconvenient due to a big U-Haul truck parked right in front of the double doors and other cars parked on both sides of that, it was hard to get around with our carts of items to store them. Perhaps more doors are needed. Even after they were done unloading it the truck stayed parked there the whole time. Staff was great and check in was easy.

Uhaul customer and have spent thousands renting storage space at a facility in Kingwood as well as the Houston Alief area over the last several years. I will be filing a a customer service complaint at 1-800-789-3638. I had already reported my issues to Javion when I called earlier to discuss potential charges. Also I was charged for fuel that I should not have been, thank God I took pictures of the dash on the miles and fuel level before I left the Uhaul lot. While I respect the uhaul name, I will never return to this facility.

MARIA LI waited to return the truck in the return lane. Multiple employees in view and no one approached to help me. I finally reached out and the lady took the keys and said I was good to go. She did not look at the mileage, gas tank or truck condition. She told me to leave and I would get an emailed receipt. I was charged for 11 gallons of gas. The tank was slightly less than 1/2 full—about what it was on pick up. Service upon return wasn’t good. Overall experience was average.

The next day after I unloaded all my belongings and I completed all check in lists I was charged $30. No detailed description was given in a receipt why I was charged $30. I was disappointed with experiencing miscommunication regarding auto payment for my shipment. And when I originally reserved the storage online 11.5.23 my next monthly payment reflect 1.6.24 but when I arrived in person and upgraded the next payment was for 12.6.23. I have spent too much with doing business at UHaul for this to happen upon my arrival as a first time customer.

Due to the population around the facility that worried me sometimes however, sadly prior to moving out, I discovered that the unit I was renting was not up to standard, and due to heavy rains that had not occurred during my lease half of my items were destroyed by water. These items included household furniture, furnishings, clothing, and shoes. The other items that were in paper boxes, if they were not destroyed, severe mildew and mold.

Neglecting to mention I couldn’t even return my vehicle in at the same facility where my storage unit was reserved. Uhaul sent me 15 min out the way to return my vehicle.

Therefore, I had to leave all my personal belongings in the hall on the second floor because I was not able to get back inside the building to secure my items and lock the unit. An employee should have provided a tour of the property and showed how to properly utilize the sliding door and the after hours man door that nobody said anything about. Worst experience ever renting a storage. When I called this morning, another representative told me that I could access my unit from 5 AM until 10 PM! The inconsistencies of information provided on access times and lack of customer service in showing me how to use the key card to access the building are my issues and concerns.

This was an unexpected storage and move of items for a business trip that I was on in Katy TX and I had to fly out in a few hours, so I was in an extreme time constraint. The gentleman on the phone was very helpful, gave me rates, secured a truck, etc. I explained that I would be there in 20 minutes and he had everything for the truck ready. Upon arriving to the location I was handed off to a blonde lady whom I verified that although I was given a 3rd floor storage unit that they had an elevator. She said they had an elevator and I signed all the documents for the storage unit as well. I then left to grab the pallet of materials that I was putting in the storage unit. 30 minutes later I came back to the storage place and was told that, although there is an elevator, that it was broken and I would have to carry everything up to the 3rd floor. I asked the blonde lady why she said that there is an elevator when it's broken and she said "because we do have an elevator". She immediately developed an attitude when I explained that I cannot possibly carry everything by myself up 3 floors (some of the things I'm storing weigh over 500lbs). I explained I'm on a time constraint, that I explained that in person and on the phone and I don't appreciate being mislead and lied to. She then told me to stop raising my voice (I have laryngitis and cannot talk without attempting to talk loudly), that she's not lying, that they DO have an elevator (whether it's actually working apparently is a non-issue to her) and that instead of trying to find another location with adequate storage or being proactive in any way, she said I'm not welcome anymore and she's canceling my storage unit. I had to ask twice for proof that it's cancelled, she yells at me that she's canceling it, grabs the paperwork out of my hand, tears it up and throws it away. In addition to the wasted time, soaking wet conditions, having to unpack and repack the truck, this individual was the rudest, most unpleasant person I've had the pleasure of dealing with in years. Under no circumstances would I employ her and I hope she never deals with another customer again. So instead of using this location I simply went next door, had an incredibly pleasant experience there, paid more for the unit but it was totally worth it. This blonde "manager" is going to ensure that the storage place next door is a successful business for as long as she's employed at your company. Until then I'll never use uhaul again for personal or business purposes.

A discount on storage would have been nice. When we were ready to empty the storage unit, the elevator was broken. We had to wait another two weeks to be able to come back and empty the storage unit because that is when our help was available. We think it is wrong that rental is not prorated.

Jessica L | Overall ExperienceThe after hours door stopped working after I signed up for the unit. I came to retrieve some items one night and couldn’t access my unit. There wasn’t a note posted to indicate the door was broken. I called every number posted outside the door, including the General Manager. As of the date and time of this comment, I have not received a call back from the GM. Someone called me and said that they told me the after hours door was not working when I signed up; however, I have no recollection of being told this, I didn’t sign anything acknowledging I was told (and I wouldn’t have signed up because I needed access after store hours) and there weren’t any signs posted. Additionally I was able to access after hours once or twice after I signed up so, in my opinion, that supports my position that I was not informed about the door. The day after I wasn’t able to access my unit, I got off work early to get to the office because I thought it was just a access card issue. That’s when I was told the door wasn’t working and no one had any idea when the door would be fixed. The staff recommended I contact the GM but of course that was useless because I’d already done so and hadn’t received a response. I ended up submitting a customer action report (#3164929) and the GM still didn’t have the courtesy to contact me. A different worker contacted me, stating what I outlined above. This was by far the worse experience I’ve ever had with any storage or moving service. I find value in Uhaul trucks but will never use a storage unit.

She abruptly said ( I am doing payroll I don’t have time for you and the other girl is busy.) I asked her for a receipt and she said I should have done it online if I wanted that. I never received a confirmation from anyone my rental was checked in. When i told her the key only opened the passenger door she syed and said ( I got it loudly ). It was the rudest attitude. I had to return the 15 foot moving truck by 1:45 AM. We made it there just in time to unload and check the truck in. I tried to open the after hour door, it said sorry not in service. We attempted to call the GM many times, we had to sit out in 55 degree weather with our stuff sitting in the parking lot right out side the sliding door until someone came at 6:50 and opened the door for us to begin to load it into our unit. Our main issue was that no one would answer at the after-hour help number. Other than that it was great, the location is beautiful and very well maintained.
