Space needed for a large truck to load and unload is too tricky. Just forget about going on a Saturday because there just isn't enough room for everyone who will show up. Truck smelled like cigarettes, and water leaked onto some of my boxes from outside. Also, the washer fluid did not work at all. Not ideal considering the winter storm I had to drive through. Could not see. Then, to add insult to injury, I'm charged twice for renting the pads, even though they're returned, and then some random $5 â€œsafe tripâ€ fee. You charge for returning the equipment without damage??! On top of all that, I returned the equipment last night, but was charged until today because the app didn't work right. Refused to see my location. Would not recommend uhaul in the future. The staff at the location was very friendly and helpful, until I returned the equipment.William M.

I was able to secure it the day needed within hours of dropping off our belongings for storage, access was very easy, with the tools required to transfer everything from the truck to the unit, and vice versa. The wiring on the trailer was not working when I picked it up, causing a delay. The staff was great in taking care of it, but I wonder why it was not operable to begin witih. My low scores are a reflection of your booking system. I called on the phone and was told my preferred size trailer was not available so I opted for a larger, more expensive one. After the phone call I went onto your website and found the trailer I wanted was available at this site and I reserved that one on line. Before I could cancel the first option, I received a call telling me that trailer was available at a location 40 minutes away. This is the third time I have booked a trailer in Keene, gone through providing all the towing car, personal ID and credit card information only to be told after the fact that the trailer was not available in Keene and I would have to drive up to an hour away to get it. This is a "bait and switch" approach that is intentionally built in to your booking system and is unethical. You should not be entitled to my personal info if the product is not available at the site that you indicate. If there was an option to UHaul I would use it but there is not and that is probably why you can get by with this dishonest approach.MICHAEL R C.

The floor of the enclosed trailer was not clean. This wasn't seen by the naked eye. Our belongings that were on the floor were black with a greasy substance. I'm having difficulty getting it out. Please be sure that the trailers are thoroughly cleaned prior to renting. Thank you.Bonnie B.

Our biggest issue was the difficulty of setting up an account when we checked in. We already had an account & a unit. We were just adding another unit. We had to do the whole process as if it was a new unit & then they signed us up for the wrong unit so had to do the process all over again. Then the key card we were given didn’t work. My drop off time was wrong on my original paperwork which I didn't notice at pickup because I was overcharged initally and had to fight over why the charges were wrong before I even left. Trying to make changes to my reservation because I needed a new pick up time and ended up needing to extend a day was completely frustrating and I ended up being charged for three days and had the vehicle for less then 48 hours. I have still heard no response regarding my email response concerning the over charges to my card and the hold times to get someone on the phone are ridiculous. The 15 foot truck I rented pulled so badly to the side it was dangerous. Overall the worst experience I have ever had with a truck rental company. I'll drive 30 minutes out of my way and use Budget next time. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.Jacqueline A.

The truck's gas cap did not have a lock. twice my gasoline was siphoned out. I estimate I lost $100 in gasoline. This is a huge problem. It happened as I slept overnight. All was ok until I returned the vehicle. The representative insisted that I had not filled the gas tank adequately to the required 5/8 full. I knew that I had. There was no 5/8 mark on the gage. The equipment truck (TM 1957H) I had used had a few mechanical problems that made me feel unsafe in my trip. For one, the steering wheel was shaking almost constantly. Whenever letting go of the steering wheel we noticed the vehicle was pulling VERY HARD to the right and practically was jerking us to the right. My husband was holding the steering wheel STRAIGHT and the vehicle was turning RIGHT ON ITS OWN. The alignment in the vehicle was off in the worst way, and not to mention the vehicle was shifting very roughly. I think they need to keep up with maintenance a bit more with their vehicles. No one should be paying $100+ for a move in something that unsafe and I'm super upset that I was charged that much to be in a vehicle as unsafe as it was. I will probably never go back Keene NH's U-Haul again just from the experience I had via the vehicle. The staff and the facility itself were clean and fine. The vehicle just WAS NOT up to par and should not be on the road being used with a customer.Justin C.
