The original truck we were given had a flat tire. The manager quickly got us a new one and had us on our way. I was originally told I could tow my car with a 2 wheel trailer that was not the case. However, when I went back up to the store they were able to quickly trade out the 2 wheel trailer for the 4 wheel AT. I was very happy with this location.Bess F.

The only reason I gave a Below Average rating and not a Poor one is because Steven was very professional and redeemed the experience as much as he could. I reserved a 20' truck about 2 weeks ago. Two days before moving day, a woman (not Steven) called me from 346-888-4128 to tell me (in a rude tone of voice) that they didn't have my 20' truck, and that I would have to get it from another location. When I asked her questions about what she was telling me, she was sure to indicate by her tone that my questions were exceedingly unintelligent ones. Not only did I find out that I wouldn't have a truck two days before moving day, but I was the recipient of unprovoked rudeness and condescension. Upon finding out (on moving day) that the alternate pickup location opened at 10am (our movers were scheduled to arrive at 8 am), my husband called the original location and Steven was very accommodating. He told us (contrary to what the woman told me) that they have a 20' truck, and we could pick it up ASAP. He apologized for our experience and made the move possible at the last minute.Kaleb S.

Yeah, the self check in is a bunch of crap. All the same stuff gets repeated at the counter. So it's like a 14% counter time savings, and a 100% increase in customer work. The app wouldn't load any pics. Then I tried self check in after and it wouldn't work either. Either fix the whole thing, or just stick with counter service.Patrick C.

I have two issues with corporate. This location is excellent. Over the last 15 or so years I have rented as many U-Haul trucks as once a year allows. Lots of rental data. But I'm not further along than the first truck long ago. I had to pay for an old bill today before I could rent one today. I knew nothing of why but didn't have time to get it looked into and paid it under protest. Also on that rental time period, I was charged for additional rental days that were not legitimate. The trailer had a retread tire on one side that DISINTEGRATED about 80 miles into our 20 hour trip. It took 2 hours before we could get anyone to even acknowledge us. Called the emergency UHaul number and after an hour got a callback but then waited on hold for ANOTHER 90 minutes and never did get a live person on the phone. Finally got through to someone via internet who called to have the tire replaced. Overall added 5 hours to our trip. When we looked at the other trailer tires one of the others was completely bald too. The guy who replaced the one tire said he doubted we would make it the whole trip with THAT tire! The ABS brake light on the truck was lit off and on through the whole trip and the truck hesitated and lurched whenever I was accelerating. 1st I was told there would be 3 men. 1 man & a lady showed up. By the hardest they got the job done. Heavy furniture should be men. The man was extremely augumentive. We had a king size bed. The trailer was a 6 X 12, he was determined it needed to stand up. Not what we requested, finally he meet our request. Very displeased We will use you again if we need.priscilla A.

In-cab passenger customer comfort was overlooked entirely. The passenger footwell was reaching temperatures over 115â€¢. We had to stop on multiple occasions to allow the passenger a reprieve from the blistering hot air that was blowing up from under their seat. That in turn never allowed the entire cabin to cool off to any degree of comfort on a 95â€¢ Texas afternoon. The other request is to train the desk staff to make sure the customer is aware of the placement of the key return slot. The online check in website clearly displayed a free standing, orange lock box with a shot of the customer entrance in the background for orientation purposes. After a solid 12 hour day of moving in sweltering conditions, scorched passengers and the sheer delight of moving on a holiday weekend, the last thing I wanted to do was walk around the facility after 9 pm, searching for something that was different than what the website was showing. I brought the key home with me and returned it the next morning..Tracey W.

I have no complaints about this location. However, I do have a problem with your online reservation process. I reserved a trailer for the Kingwood location at 7:30 a.m. A regional representative called me and moved my pick up to a different location that doesn't open until much later. I did not catch the email that changed my pick up time, and the regional representative didn't inform me of the change on the phone. I arrived at the new location at 7:30 a.m. and discovered that it was closed. I immediately called the Kingwood location to see if they had the trailer available and they did. Thankfully, it all worked out, but it was a HUGE hassle as I was under a deadline to have the trailer at a specific time. I should have been told by the regional representative about the reservation time being changed. That is NOT good customer service.James A.

I used the provided link to check the truck back in, the process was easy and straight forward. I apparently parked in the wrong area, which prevented me from finding the drop box. There were homeless people hanging around which frightened my friends and I, because they would come up to us to let them in and we couldn't move out safely while we couldn't leave our doors open packing up afraid of thrives! And one lady that was putting her stuff in storage had her purse stolen! All this was reported and still issues being safe.
