I reserved a trailer on line and was able to pick it up 30 minutes later. Hassle free.
DAVID SVery well run facility! I was told immediately where to back the trailer for off loading. Two young men met me where I backed and nearly had the trailer disconnected before I could even get out of my truck to see if they needed any help!!!! I have either to or from Lafayette 3 times now and without a doubt this has been my go to place for renting a 26’ box van or a 6x12 trailer.. just wish U-Haul would have had a 7x20’ trailer and I would have had it loaded and unloaded on both ends. Next week will will have a 26’ over cab truck to move the rest of our home and take FULL ADVANTAGE of U-Haul movers!!!!! Got way too many pains working right now!!!!!!

TIMOTHY FI told the lady my truck description. 2008 GMC SIERRA when I got home after running a few errands In Lafayette, and getting help to load my truck which was not drive able. The trailer was 2 feet too short for me to use. It was raining very bad but I brought the trailer back park it in view of the camera after look at the size of the same type of trailer was the same size as the one I had. I parked the trailer and contact the store. The told me I could not get a refund or a credit. I do not think this is Fair.
GARLAND BI completed the reservation online using the APP. I could not have access to truck since it was my first time using the app, however the fact that I had done the app made the picking up the van at the office a cinch. The vehicle was in perfect conditions and clean. It was exactly the size that I needed to move a rather large loveseat and clothes. Made the moving day a breeze. The employees at the U-Haul office were very courteous and professional. I will definitely use U-Haul again since it was so easy to use.

LOWELL HI had no problems with my unit expect for the random raising of the rent. What originally started as a $50-60 rental turned into 75$ a month in less than 6 months and I could not justify paying that.

Ashleigh FThe truck ride was awful! So much vibration. The side window that was already cracked felt like it would fall out at any time! The gentleman checking the truck back in was phenomenal! If I owned a business, I would hire him on the spot and double his salary.
LOUISE FI needed to unload some large items into my storage unit which is on the 2nd floor. The elevator is broken and there is no clear timetable when it will be fixed. The staff was sarcastic and not helpful. One suggested that in the past there were no elevators. In the past, I didn't pay more for elevator convenience!! I get regular emails about my bill. I have no idea why I wasn't alerted by email in advance. I would have appreciated more signs outside the facility to let me know elevator was broken BEFORE i unloaded all my stuff. Seems like 2nd floor customers should be getting discounts of some sort for the inconvenience. I'm pissed and plan to move to another competitor as soon as the elevators or fixed. All in all, both of Uhaul experience at both locations was terrible.
DENNIS MI will never rent from yall again because i was charged for furniture blankets that I didn't even use along with the utility dolly the guy said i just re-tagged the furniture blankets because it had a broken tag mind u the uhaul suppose to have 6 in the bag that i never used the guy broke the tags infront of me my husband and our friend and have us the 2 blankets out of it when it was suppose to be 6 in there so obviously if i didnt use the blankets and 6 was suppose to be in it but only 2 was people are getting ripped off and charged for using stuff because employees arent doing their job all they wanna do is smoke weed a screw people who work hard for their money because they lazy they have a simple ass job checkin them in

MICHAEL ZFirst off I called and then reserved online, a 26' Truck, Utility Dolly, Regular Dolly, and furniture mats on Thursday Feb. 27th for Saturday March 1 at Acadiana Stor-n-Loc in New Iberia. When I arrived I was told that the person did not return the truck and would not rent me the 26' truck on their lot because it was a out of state truck. The located me a truck at Anytime Storage 34 miles away. When I arrived they were closed and there was a sign in the window. Closed March 1. We then called the U-Haul Emergency number. The first person could not help us then she transferred us to a guy. Didn't get his name, but he apologized for the problems and was so very helpful in locating us one at U-Haul Moving and Storage Of Lafayette. There was a gentleman who greeted us and very helpful then he turned us over to his manager a lady. I asked her for a utility dolly and she said she didn't have one. Then I asked her to explain how much fuel I was to return in with and she said I just read it to you look on the paper. She was very rude. When I returned it they were very helpful and asked how the truck worked and I said great. So overall the experience wasn't ''t that hot, but there are some good people at U-Haul that were very helpful

debbie tA rear exit from the lot would greatly help. The only option to get out of the facility is onto Ambassador Caffery, and it’s extremely busy with traffic, especially to pull out of there with trailers and equipment.
GREGORY MGet more trucks,so during time overages you don't have to rush your life span to meet next customers reservations. I would have kept truck another week if wasn't for others needs and haul shortage because I ran into a space where I needed more time in truck no time to call and reserve truck. But over all awesomeness...

JOSEPH HI did also preorder a furniture dolly but when we got to the facility to pick up the truck, there were no furniture dollies available. How does that happen when you reserve one? Otherwise, all went well.
STUART BMy most recent visit with this U-Haul location may be my last. I physically went into the store to reserve a trailer 24+ hrs ahead of time. I spoke with an associate who was on the phone (personal cellphone) and had to wait for them to end the call before being helped. I was never given any special instructions of any kind. I arrived a few minutes after my scheduled reservation time and had to wait almost 15 minutes to be helped (understandably - they had a customer there before me and a customer phone call). My initial interaction with an associate was while they were also helping the customer on the phone - this was awkward because I didn’t know when they were talking to me and when they weren’t. When asked for I.D. to continue my reservation, I presented LA wallet (a state-approved ID), which I’ve recently begun using. The associate stated it was not an acceptable ID. I told them it was all I had and that I had not been told that I would need my physical card. She responded “it was in their website” (Which seems entirely irrelevant, and puts the blame for this miscommunication on my shoulders). When I told the associate that I had not visited the website, I had my reservation in person, they again stated “well, it’s on the website” and insisted they would not accept a state approved ID. When I informed the associate that I was now running severely behind schedule, and needed my reserved trailer for a scheduled job, the associate then told me I was “being a dick”. I was very surprised by the total lack of professionalism but, needing the trailer for the job, asked her to work with me. She refused, again calling me a dick and then told me to leave. Stating I would not be getting a trailer at all. She then left, apparently to use the bathroom. I left to get a physical ID. I returned, only to then find out later that I also needed a physical payment card for the transaction (which I also was not told when I had visited the day before). Fortunately, at this point, I now had my wallet. I have never been verbally assaulted before during a business transaction. I guess there really is a first time for everything. U-haul, get it together. Take the time to communicate your business’s outdated limitations (LA wallet and tap to pay are routine methods of conducting business in the state of Louisiana).

Lionel A | Overall ExperienceThis was a weather-related problem in the facility. Not their fault. Leaks are always a problem to locate origin of the outside entry of the water. The problem was getting more help than the local staff. There was supposed to be some, but they were hard to schedule, and then didn't show up at all. So it was just the two local women who had to do the move for/with me. They were very courteous and helpful. The only remaining problem is a tapestry loom that is at the front, when it should have been put further back, preferably against the back or side wall so it could stand up properly, and not be in the way for further shifting of contents.

Trudy L | Overall ExperienceI would like to rate this experience better however I just got back from visiting with my mother on her death bed from cancer I moved everything I own into your facility however I'm suppose to be at work for 5:30am and my clothes are in my unit and I've tried my code that worked on October the 6th because I tried it to make sure it worked because 2 other customer were complaining about their codes denying them well apparently that's just how thos location operates in a VERY inconvenient way it isn't 11pn 2am it was 7:07pm when I drove up and one panel denies me access and the other door says I'm not checked in but I am checked in in a very inconvenient way. Now I will have to miss work and not get paid which I really need right now because in approximately at most 2 weeks I will have my mom's funeral to attend. This is extremely poor business and horrible service I am very VERY unhappy and a very disappointed and dissatisfied customer so much I am regretting my choice in storage units now and will never suggest anyone coming here

It smelled like dog food? And the elevator was broken when I moved in. Also I had a unit in the direct sun light so it was always very hot.

Each time I tried to enter I had to hold door open with one hand and try to pull hand truck with other hand. Door kept slamming on my load and knocking it off. Also the pest control black box was too strong for my small unit. It gave me a headache and I could still smell and taste it 30 minutes after leaving. I removed it and put in hallway. I had already advised staff that it was too strong and he said housekeeping would take care of it.

The rep who served me was friendly but he did not mention anything about the convenient lock for buy storage. I picked up a lock and the rep charged for the lock. I came to the place along and no one on the staff offered any help with lifting anything heavy onto the moving carts which I realize is not really in their job description but it would have been nice to at least be offered. It was just a ok experience for myself. I would just invite a friend to come if they really need space. Thanks for the storage.
