The rental truck I had rented had multiple issues. First, the master cylinder cap was missing and the location had put a blue latex glove over the opening with a green tag that is used for utility dolly or furniture pads seals. Second, the front windshield had a large crack that was in the line of sight with smaller chips in the passenger side. And lastly, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System light was on during the duration of the rental and the front right tire was not even registering. This truck should have been downed immediately upon my return because of all the safety issues with it.

The overall experience with the truck was great but we did however file a complaint about a customer/employee, not sure , about trying to get to our storage unit that resulted in us having to hold the truck another day which was real inconvenient. Has not talked to anyone yet still waiting on a call about my refund for the storage that we did not use also for the extra day that I was charged for keeping the truck because of the person

Bed of truck was filthy. Seats were stained and had dried coffee and other liquid all over. When I wiped the interior and steering wheel, doors, buttons, etc down with wipes - they turned black. Worst part was windshield wipers were broken and hanging on barely. Roadside assistance never came after 4 phone calls saying they were on their way.

Have more individualized customer service. We needed to call several times and the specific location was impossible to get ahold of. The general number couldn't help us with any specific issues. The trailer we rented ended up not being sufficient to move what we needed to move. When we returned it less than 2 hours later unused, we were unsympatheticly told there was no discount, credit, or any other options for us. I'm fed up with large companies with little concern for individual customers.

The representative told me that I wasn't eligible for first month free when I got an email saying that I was.. he then charged me for an extra day when I got to the facility and unloaded my belongings..We had just gone through Hurricane Ida and my apartment was deemed uninhabitable and we are homeless at the moment and we didn't expect to not have any sympathy shown but instead treated that way..

The equipment was not ready when at my appointed time and I was offered to possibly pick up a vehicle an hour away. When I asked about mileage, I was told I would be charged mileage which is unfair. When I returned the vehicle I stopped at the designated spot to return a vehicle. The sign said to wait in the vehicle. 3 staff members saw me in the vehicle and after 20 min I left the vehicle and inquired why no one came out. "You are supposed to come in." I was told. When I said the sign told me to wait, the response was just "you need to come in."

When scheduling online, it would be nice to know whether or not mobile pickup is available. I scheduled a 7:30 a.m. pickup and was unable to pickup the truck until 9:00 a.m. I had to drive 30 minutes to get the truck which resulted in me losing an hour and a half of time.

The truck's cargo area was filthy and I had to sweep and hose it out prior to use. The Truck itself was old, right blinker didn't work, parking brake indicator light stayed on, as well as the engine oil light. I checked oil level and had to add 3 quarts of oil. This truck was rented to me for an 175 mile round trip. On the drive the headlights were so dim I could see no more than 15 ft ahead on the interstate, the driver side door sounded as though it would fly off at any moment. Overall this was the worst experience with Uhaul EVER and being a Veteran i have moved many times. I was SO very disappointed.

Ambassador store was good. But whole experience with Uhaul was horrible including the person I talked to on the phone from OKC. Reservations were made for me to pick up in Lafayette, then changed to New Iberia, called to confirm what time they closed and I was then notified that my reservation changed again. Was told to call “traffic” number and talk to somebody there. Hour and seventeen minutes later the phone call hung up (recorded message call can not be answered at this time goodbye) on me with no help at all ( that's where I talked to said lady from okc). While I was in the Lafayette store trying to figure out what was going on, lady behind me was having the same issues. Uhaul took her truck and gave it to somebody else. She had to drive to Baton Rouge to get a truck. Long story short Ambassador store made everything right the best they could. But in all was a FUCKING head ache.

Service was excellent! I walked in without a reservation and they took care of me quickly and efficiently. I was on the road in just a few minutes. The van I rented was newer and had low miles on it. It rode smooth and quiet. Great experience!

I had a good experience despite the horror stories I have heard and read online. The truck and auto dolly were fairly new and appeared to be well maintained. I had no issues with equipment or location staff.

I was not contacted by Uhaul 24-48hrs prior to my booking. I went to pick up my truck and apparently it was not available and all trucks were sold out. The lady on the phone said someone from Traffic control was supposed to let me know that my truck was not available but they dropped the ball and didnt call. This was enraging and unprofessional. I will never book with Uhaul again or my family or friends unless this is rectified. I have started to share my story with all family and friends.

I drove 950 miles to pick up a 6 x 12 trailer. Was going to load it and drive the 950 miles home that day. I was about 20 miles from Lafayette and got a text telling me the 6 x 12 wouldn't be available for 2 more days. I confirmed the reservation over the phone 48 hours before, before I left on the 950 mile trip. I had to find a 5x8 trailer myself and then had to leave some things in Lafayette because it would not all fit in the smaller trailer!!!

Everyone was nice and friendly. The trailer was a life saver. The only issue was at initial setup. The associate did not tighten the tow ball lock so the trailer came off a little while after leaving the facility. Luckily, I was close to an area to pull over and adjust before getting any damage.

Please check hookups and make sure that signals actually work properly before sending out customers on the road with signals that are totally opposite of the direction they intend to go. That is a big safety risk

I requested a dolly when I made my reservation, when I picked up the truck, all the had was a 4 wheel dolly, which I took in it's place but we had gravel to deal with and it was difficult without the two wheel dolly! Two wheel dollys should never be out of stock.

When renting out a trailer, you should include all connectors or inform customers that it's not provided. If a company rents equipment from you, make sure you have things ready and on time. You would expect the same from others. The staff was unprofessional. No where in your contract does it state that you will be keeping a renters personal info and drivers license info permanently after a rental. I am still looking at the legal remedy for this infraction. This business practice seems illegal. I will be going to your competition for further assistance, and I will be warning others not to use you.

Hi, this is my very first time renting a storage and I will say it was interesting to say the least. I arrived to center and I entered the store for check in. The rep who served me was friendly but he did not mention anything about the convenient lock for buy storage. I picked up a lock and the rep charged for the lock. I came to the place along and no one on the staff offered any help with lifting anything heavy onto the moving carts which I realize is not really in their job description but it would have been nice to at least be offered. It was just a ok experience for myself. I would just invite a friend to come if they really need space. Thanks for the storage.

The lady who did the paperwork was not knowledgeable and did not pay attention . She had to ask the other agent about almost every line of the contract. When the contract was FINALLY ready, almost an hour after we began, she had entered the wrong size unit and it took an additional half hour to get THAT straightened out. This does not appear to be rocket science or brain surgery. It made the whole process aggravating \, took entirely too long, and was stressful.
