Walked into the office and no one was there. I said "Hello, anybody home"? Still no one. Started to walk out then someone appeared. I had indicated a 8:30 a.m. pick up. I arrived at 8:15 a.m. When the staff arrived she said "So, your early" Sarcastically offering justification for her Not being at the front desk. She was on her phone (as usual for most young people these days) instead of Focusing On The Customer! She was having a conversation with the other person on her phone while going through the motions of explaining the paperwork, etc. She was actually helpful with assisting with the hitching of trailer. My advice: Tell associates to be Aware and Present and to Focus on the customer. I would tell them NOT to be on the phone with another when assisting a customer on site in front of them. I rent car haulers Frequently. Prior rentors DO Not know how to properly tread the front tires securing straps. NO ONE actually reads the instructions! However, it took me 15 minutes to untread the straps that were tightly wound the wrong way. ASSOCIATED NEED TO SHOW EVERYONE THE PROPER WAY TO THREAD THESE STRAPS. STRAP ENDS MUST BE THREADED TOP DOWN THROUGH THE SLOT IN THE WINDING MECHANISM AND STRAP END MUST CONTINUE STRAIGHT DOWN (not placed behind the wind, etc) THEN ONE CAN BEGIN RATCHETING THE STRAP. AGAIN, STRAP END INSERTED INTO SLOT FROM THE TOP AND CONTINUE WITH STRAP END STRAIGHT DOWN...THEN BEGIN RATCHETING! IF THIS IS NOT DONE CORRECTLY (AND MOST PEOPLE DO NOT DO THIS CORRECTLY) THE STRAP BECOMES SO TIGHTLY WOUND THAT PEOPLE THEN IGNORE THE STRAPS ALL TOGETHER AND THIS IS A SEVERE SAFETY HAZARD. SOMETIMES WE NEED TO SLOW DOWN AND FOCUS AND WALK CERTAIN IMPORTANT ITEMS THROUGH THE OLD FASHIONED WAY...REAL TIME, LIVE, ACTUAL TRAINING.

I moved out on 5/15/2026 that date is wrong the young lady working told me to take pictures and if they had any ? Be cause her mine had to do something to my acct I would be contacted and iam good to go I want be charged on 5/18 because I move out before hand she didn’t give me a receipt I asked her could have my close out receipt she said no need but I had to call on the 18 because there was and attempted charge on my acct I called she said I wasn’t checked out so she needed to talk to mgnt I told her to have her call me once it’s final still no call other than that everything was good just making sure I have a $0 balance thank you

The truck was horrible. The brakes were super bad and the suspension sounded like you were on track tracks with the clanking of it. And it also popped during corning. The people I dealt with were super nice and amazing just the equipment was janky.

They have a good CSR but it looks like they are trained to squeeze your wallet at any cost. The first person told me that I can have the truck that I want but just for few hours, I picked up the truck around 3pm and she said she need it back around 7pm to 8pm. I told her to extend the time until the next day and she said no. Finally she allow me to have it until 10pm because someone else need the truck after that time…..(yes right) And she said that if I get back after 10pm she will charge me another $50 or $60 dollars. So I worked under stress the whole time to get back at 10pm o’clock. The next morning I had to get back to their office to claim two charges for a dolly and some pads located inside the truck that I never used and find out the truck was there. Which means no one else rented after my use. Long story short, they refunded me only one charge but no both even when I never touched theirs stuff located I use the truck. I also was about to rent a storage unit 5x10 for $114 per month and I found another storage names public storage one minute away from this location with the same unit 5x10 for just $22 per month. Never rent from this location, stay away.

I had a bad experience with them before, but the worst part was I bought a dolly but they did not provide one so, I was forced to use my chair as a dolly and my couch fell and damaged a neighbor’s car. This would not have happened with more competent employees helping me. I will never use U-Haul again. I think I have grounds to sue but the damages are so small that it would not be worth it.

The location and staff were perfect -the contactless pickup did not work. This message is for Uhaul corporate. The verification DURING & AFTER all the hoops we jumped through to sign up, why would we then also need two people to verify the pickup when I'm the one who paid? My husband got a call in Nashville at 7:30am to verify it -he was my emergency contact who was not even with us. My son'was with me and his phone was called but it did not ring because unknown numbers go to his spam. This needs to be fixed. I understand how important it is to verify who we are, but think about this...how in the world would someone else show up to pick up that exact truck in Lawrenceville, Georgia at the same exact date/time I reserved it for? Thank you, Lawrenceville. We will definitely use that site again but will pick up when the store is open.

Ms. Lesly was helpful and courteous. She told me the van had full tank of gas but when I showed her that it was not full but just above the 3/4 mark on the fuel gauge. She was nice to come out check it for herself and said don’t worry I saw it with my own eyes and asked me to bring back with the same amount of fuel as the fuel gauge showed. When I returned the van she checked everything and I told her that she doesn’t have to clean it and she was very pleased and thanked me. Thank you.
