Chad K | First ImpressionsI was able to reserve an 8" pick-up truck online the day prior and completed my information (ID, etc) online as well. Morning of, I was able to walk in and out in 5mins. Once I finished my task, I arrived back to this location to a long line of customers - nice thing is, you can complete your post-rental steps with your phone as well! I just dropped the keys in the lock box once completed. I highly recommend reserving the equipment you need ahead of time and all will go well!

Brandon BI would NOT recommend using the app. Pick up and drop off were ridiculously long and no one could help me. In picking up I waited forever to get the approval through the app. And dropping off. I couldn't use the app, that I had specifically downloaded for this rental, I had to go to the website. A bunch of information. It timed out on me and wouldn't let me upload photos. Then told me to put the keys in the key drop and there are no signs anywhere showing where the key drop is. There were trucks lined up blocking the one little box that I finally found after about 15 minutes of walking around

Everything was ready and the move was easy-peasy. Late that night, I realized I must have left a couch pillow in the truck. Turns out I did. The staff got it back to me early the next morning.

jeramy hWe paid almost $400 while the truck did not operate correctly. Never had issue with any of our rentals till the 26ft truck. Truck needs a good look over by mechanic, I work at Ford as mechanic and could instantly tell something mechanically was wrong. We moved from Waukesha to Brandon Wi which was an almost 2 hour drive. At beginning of trip it was a little rough but thought it was due to bigger truck however a bit into the drive the truck would not accelerate even with the peddle to the floor, when applying break to come to stop entire truck would shake and RPM would shoot between 5000-6000 RMP than have hard to accelerating from stop. 20 minutes from the new house the truck went into limp mode would not accelerate over 1000 RPM with peddle to floor or go over 20 mph, while I’m limp mode entire truck would shake/bounce causing passenger to become car sick due to how severe the driving condition was. A 20 min drive from new house turned into 40 minute drive as we could only move at turtle speed. Truck started to smell like burning rubber towards end of drive,

Another time I needed a ladder and a broom and they provided....no hesitation. I recently got a few cuts while emptying mu unit and someone came to me with an emergency kit. John FEmployees are expect to care of many customers. Because upper management doesn't let the right amount of employees to be scheduled. And I'm not talking about store management!!!! Maybe corporate people should work in a store for a week. And don't mean show up for a few hours. Actually do the job !!!

Jerome CWaukesha office was wonderful in every way. Everything about Fort Pierce FL was the complete opposite except the driver who delivered the boxes. All other communications with Fort Pierce was horrendous.

Mary JI was overcharged by $121! And, they accused me of not returning the moving blankets when the U-Haul guy scooped them up in his arms & carried them into the store! Then, they charged me an after hours drop off fee when I dropped it off 1.5 hours before they closed (a full 17.5 hours before I had to bring it back! ) So, no…. Not a good experience!!!

Thankfully, the man who identified himself as the Assistant Manager stepped in and was able to streamline the process. His commitment to service, his patience and his dedication to caring for the customers in the store was beyond incredible. I will most definitely be returning to this location again and again. I will always recommend this store to anyone who needs a rental.

Allen LThis was the worst experience I have ever had. First off, telling me I am required to use the app or I will get late drop off fee. That is complete bull if that is how this company works. If I have the trailer back before the employees come in the next day, how is my rental late. Second, I have not once had to add a 2nd phone number to my rentals. What if I was a single person and didnt have someones number to give. And then he threatened to not rent me a trailer if I didnt give him one. Then I find out he is a manager of this location. I want something done about this, I want my rental fee for this refunded. And I want him to be removed from management, a manager does not act like he did.

James GI have rented numerous trailers and a few trucks from this location in the past. Sometimes there have been long waits to get equipment at the store. Sometimes it went fast. For this most recent rental last week, I went into the store in person to reserve a motorcycle trailer for a special 7 day trip to make sure it was all set. I did this about 6 weeks ahead of when I needed it. It took about 1 hour to get this done in person. On the pickup day, the store was busy but after about 45 minutes of waiting, I got up to the desk and they said they didn't have my information all in the computer. I was told I reserved it more than a month in advance and that is why my reservation was not all ready. Yet someone from U-Haul called me 4 hours prior to confirm my pick up that day just to confirm that I was coming in later to puck up my trailer. So, somehow they had my reservation info. While at the store, once I got up to the front desk, we had to re-enter all the info / data to get my trailer. The process to pick up the trailer was well over 1 hour. Something was said about the computers being "slow" or "Down" that day. Maybe it was a fluke. The equipment was fine and it carried my motorcyle just fine on my trip (just like 5 other times in the past ). But over 2 hours of my time to pick up a trailer is not acceptable. Also, because of the computer issues, I never got any paperwork when I picked up the trailer. Never got anything e-mailed later either. Checking in my trailer when I brought it back was very quick , less than 5 minutes. That was a nice experience. My local U-Haul store is a VERY large facility and I hope there are more people working at the store the next time I need a trailer or a truck and I hope the computers are working that day. 2+ hours of wait time at the store is wrong.

Brett ROne thing I will say about the 26’ truck that I used is, the hand truck that’s fastened to the end of the truck, make sure has a plastic tag on it and do not disturb it during your move, I didn’t remember seeing one while I was loading the truck and it wasn’t until after I dropped the truck off and was taking pictures of it for checkout that I noticed there was no plastic seal. Not sure if it broke off sometime during the move or it was never there, but I’ll probably end up having to pay for it.
Alexander RThe information that I was given three times online was incorrect every time and when I called to clarify because the information I was given was contradictory to itself, I was informed that it was correct and that they were open at such times but then was not informed that the location had been changed which is why the pickup time was the way it was even though the location that I had originally selected did not open until a specified time.

Salim SI waited inline for 90 minutes before someone could tend to me. The agents apologized and said their systems were slow that day. Also, the checkout experience in the app is terrible. It needs some usability to improve the customer experience.

Paul OI was in need of a specific trailer and unfortunately I waited until the day before I needed it to stop and rent it. They were out but had one that the owner was fixing. He told me that if he could get it fixed that evening I could rent it the next day. I stopped in early and sure enough he had it done. I’ve rented from here before and will certainly make it my go-to. They were really friendly and accommodating.

William DCustomer service was good. The selection of trucks available was great. I was able to walk in and rent what I needed on the spot. So no problems with the location. Only problems I had were with the app checking the truck in and out. I gave the app camera and location permissions. I had troubles with the app uploading the pictures I was taking and had to completely re-submit the check in multiple times. Then upon drop off after hours, the app wouldn't find my location to confirm I was at the right location, and I wasn't going to pay the $20 to have someone call me the next day to confirm the dropoff. Took me 25 minutes roughly to close the app, reopen, check permissions, repeat before the location finally worked.

Richard SThis is not an issue with this U-haul location. I booked online at another location and apparently they didn't have the truck size I needed, so I was moved to a new location for pickup. I give a 1 star review of the online process as I was not notified at all of the location change and therefore spent time going to the location I initially picked, then had to call and spend time on the phone with customer service to find out I had to go to another location that was further away causing me to pay for extra mileage. I feel I should have been given a discount or credit for the hassle and spending more in mileage but the lady I talked to on the phone couldn't do anything for me. That was very disappointing. The workers at the location I picked the truck up from were very nice and professional.

Peter HI'd reserved a small truck and a furniture dolly. When I arrived, I was told there was only one truck on the lot and it was empty of gas. They reassured me there was a gas station right across the street...there wasn't They gave me a $35 credit for the gas, but to put in what they said was the required amount of gallons to get me to my destination and back cost me $50. When I arrived at my destination (moving my daughter home from college), I opened the door of the truck and discovered that there wasn't a furniture dolly. I feel badly leaving this review, because I've used this location many times,, and I've never had a problem. Hopefully, today was just a bad day, and not a sign of things to come.
Kathleen GIt was good but the young guy behind the counter had a airpod in the whole time? I get it if the store is slow and there's no customers but he had them in the whole time, talking VERY softly. We had also purchased some boxes and at the end of our transaction he said "oh yeah we have to do 2 transactions one for the reservation and one for the... stuff". A little more training seems to be in need.

Brad L | Overall ExperienceThe one drawback is that it is a large, 2-story facility with one (1) freight elevator. Granted everyone is not moving in or out at the same time, but I arrived with movers on the clock to empty two larger units on the second floor, and the freight elevator was being repaired. This should not have happened. You need to have at least two freight elevators for a facility of that size so if one is in repair there is at least one working. The elevator was fixed within a short while. Nonetheless, you need two freight elevators for that facility. The service elevator, which we used for a few things was waaaaay too small to be a functional alternative. Otherwise, it was a great place to keep my things secure and dry.

While Dylan was nice and I understand it was only his 2nd time moving someone into storage, we were paying movers siding check in (I should have come earlier, I know) and I felt like he was a lot slower than necessary, on 2 occassions I was in the store both while there was a long line. Unprofessional chomping on gum and paying more attention to what his coworkers were talking about than the customer sitting in front of him. I’d like to make a suggestion for check out. If it’s feasible, it would be nice to have separate lines for supply checkouts, key drop offs etc vs setting up for U-Haul vehicles/storage. To have people waiting in line for 45 minutes to purchase a few packing supplies isn’t ideal.

The storage units and building was always clean and easily accessible. Their cleaning person I encountered was nice, considerate, and did a thorough job. She took pride in her work. I even got a phone call from the Uhaul team when my padlock was not on the door correctly. They were concerned my storage locker was not secure. I came back to Uhaul and they showed me how to lock my storage unit to make it more secure. All of my experiences with the Uhaul team were outstanding. The owner has a great team here. I highly recommend the Waukesha Uhaul location near Les Paul parkway & 164.

JARED T | First ImpressionsOne of the employees (name purposefully removed) was either new or didn’t care when renting the storage unit out. I requested a unit and said that i had a U-Haul truck. I knew from the website that I should get the first month free however when asked the U-Haul employee said that wasn’t true. In an effort to not argue I let it go. They proceeded with getting the unit set up, didn’t ask me to sign for the rentals agreement, if I needed a second key, what insurance to use (theirs or homeowners), and failed fully check out that unit from the system. After trying the key at the door it didn’t pop up with anything but we assumed that was normal for the location and opened the door to the unit. Instead the alarm went off both when it was opened it and closed. Nobody came to check and make sure anything was being stolen. Moral of the story is the U-Haul employee that isn’t well trained may cause you more issues than you expect. Thank goodness there was a second person on shift. They knew exactly what the other did wrong, what the storage area hours were and after an additional 30 minute wait, we able to get my unit figured out.

Everything was the same as it was the day it arrived there including my small freezer. I was worried because it was closed mold would develop or foul smell from moisture but neither happened. Also the furniture and other boxes were not covered in dust. This is truly a clean temperature controlled environment. The garage bays are very accessible and carts are right there. I would also like to say thank you to the kind hearted staff who was mopping and cleaning the day I struggled with my filled cart and the one elevator was busy with other movers. She directed me to the alternate elevator and helped me guide the cart on/off and then guided me back to the garage bay. She went over and above for me and I’m grateful. When I need storage in the future I will be back.

The bathrooms were always out of paper and towels and the garbage was overflowing. When we asked about it they blamed it on not having any housekeeping staff. there is people living in their units and when you tell the staff they shrug it off. it says on the wall contact your manager if its over 80 which i notified them several times nothing being done and its 68 degrees in the office,. Im going to warn everyone what a horrible place this is, the floors are never swept, there was a sock in the hallway for 2 months its still there which proves the floors are never cleaned !!!! I rented 2 rooms acfross the street at public storage its much cleaner and a third of the cost.

Very pleased with the beautiful and modern facility, the convenient location, and the smooth transition to locate our furniture at this Uhaul Storage. Tim and his crew at Uhaul were extremely helpful in getting us settled into our storage unit. Tim talked us through all our concerns. We are confident we are being taken care of at a secure, clean, accommodating facility. We also were able to use their recommendations for movers to unload the truck, which only took an hour. The truck garages were fantastic for unloading with the outside temperature being in the teens. Also very happy about accessing our indoor heated unit at my leisure using the heated garages. All around, we are extremely pleased with our Uhaul adventure. Won’t hesitate to do it again.
