Attempted to rip me off. They tried to charge me an extra $93 for driving an extra "81 miles." I questioned them on the math and they stated that the pickup location must have had the incorrect milage entered. I then went out and checked the truck's odometer and surprise surprise, the employee that has the sole responsibility of entering this number put an 8 in where a 0 should be. The manager corrected this, but I can't help and feel that they do this all the time and very few people catch it. Beware!Jason S.

Employees are really great. Especially, the gentlemen that takes your truck from you or helps you with just about anything outside. Super nice, and very very strong work ethic. Ordered a trailer at a local U-Haul vendor and my reservation was subsequently changed to another location and when we went there, they did not have the trailer that I ordered. In the end, after a significant delay and lots of driving around we ended up at the U-Haul center in Lewisville. An unpleasant experience to say the least. I wasn't happy with â€œthe customer serviceâ€ that the lady at the front desk provided. She asked me if I had a reservation and she had an attitude, I said that I didn't so she immediately turned me away saying that there were no more trucks available to be rented out. I asked if she could check or if maybe another u-haul location that my have some but she said that she didn't know and she was just not nice. As I was walking out a lady who was a customer told me that I shouldn't mind the lady at the counter because she's not willing to help out customers. She said that should check online to see if there were U-hauls available. I did as the customer advised me and sure enough I went online and was able to make a reservation and returned to the counter and a young gentleman greeted me and was very friendly, completely opposite of the lady who by the way was standing right next to him. This was my first time renting a U-haul and I was disappointed by the crappy service by that lady. Also when I returned the U-haul Truck, the guy who was inspecting the U-haul wasn't very nice, I had a couple of questions regarding the final payment and he responded with a smirk and just plain rude. I informed him that I asked because it was my first time renting a u-haul and he just didn't even acknowledge me and took the keys and asked if I was going to pay with the same card that I had made the reservation with and I responded yes and he walked away! We wanted to pay with cash...they said we dont accept cash, or we had to wait for someone to open the drawer..and then 100.00 plus deposit to use cash..seriously! We found a screw in the tire right after it was loaded so I called roadside repair. He came out very quickly fixed the tire..checked the rest and found a problem with another tire which he fixed. The truck was parked in a way that it was inaccessible from the drivers door. My reserved dollys were not in the truck and when I asked for them the store employee said they didn't have any left. I called 800 number to see if I could rent them from another location and magically they were available again at the location I had just left. This put my move behind quite a bit and I did not have time to stop and go back for what should have been in the truck to begin with. The store employee treated me in a way that made me feel like he did not have time to help or do the job he's paid for. to dismiss me by saying there were no dollys available makes me never want to use u-haul again.Jesse C.

I've rented here before without an issue. This time there were some issues with the vehicle. One of the tire pressure sensors go off line after driving awhile causing the TMS light to come on. The check engine light also came on. Created a stressful trip wondering if the truck was going to make it or strand us somewhere.William C.

We repeated over and over that we wanted a one way rental to Louisiana. The lady was in training and got interrupted several times. I don't know a zip code for Plano and we never discussed returning it anywhere to Texas. We even shared that this was the 4th location we had been to for a one way rental. The equipment guy was all alone trying to do it all....The 800 number is an absolute waste of time...was on hold for over an hour before anyone picked up and I was transferred to a facility that I, nor the other person had no idea why.Janna F.

Car dolly strap was too short to secure tire. Would not even reach ratchet. Had to unload car, return to uhaul. Uhaul desk receptionist told me she can't do anything for me. Fortunately, the manager had sense enough to swap out for a trailer with functional tire straps. Right turn signal went bad a mile down the road. You need to inspect your equipment!Cristina B.

I called to confirm my reservation and the lady was extremely unhelpful. She didn’t even know if the office worker was “down there because she could have sworn she came in and said by a long time ago” even though the website said it was open. I asked if there was a way to go check or call the desk specifically to see and she said “oh sorry she doesn’t have a phone down there so you’ll just have to go see” It was an absolute nightmare picking up our truck with the 24/7 check in and on top of that they never gave us the dolly and furniture cloths we paid for. The owner of the facility really should work on her people skills. Also, the facility is very quick to assess fees. If these two items were improved, customers would be more likely to keep their units longer. Also, they would be more apt to pay their bills on time. This was a filthy u haul. I don't understand what has happen to U haul. They used to be a good, reliable company. Online check still required check in at facility. Staff at facility (Karen/Greg) was professional, positive, and most helpful. Avg rating for this reason. Though I have 24-hour access, system did not work after hours. Created a huge problem with a 26ft truck with with furniture to move in. On June 3 at 11 PM at night I had no other recourse but to stack up the truck and my home garage because the truck needed to be returned the following day. Not at all happy about that incident. That night when trying to gain access, there was another customer there
