I was told that this location had an enclosed 5x8 trailer on hand for a trip to New York. Upon arriving I was told that they in fact did not have one and since I was already running 2 hours behind I was forced to use a 5x8 open trailer. The employee in the yard hooked one up for me and I headed out only to be contacted by the store employee who said that they gave me the wrong trailer and that if I didn't bring it back I'd be charged more. So I turned around adding another 45 minutes to my trip. Then on the way home because I had to use the open trailer the top to my 350.00 Yeti cooler blew off some place and all my luggage and my paralyzed sons 8000.00 power wheelchair got soaked.

The office is always understaffed and there is always a wait to check out. Also, there are no instructions on what to do to end your storage rental posted any where. This made the process longer for me because I had to go back to the unit after waiting in line 30 minutes and get my lock. Then I had to come back and wait another 15 minutes to officially end the storage rental. The person at the desk was not nice or very helpful.

Require employees to input notes and follow through when they say boxes can be ready as requested, change delivery address as requested since the website would not allow, require movers to not place furniture pieces on their sides causing damage and loss of contents, change some movinghelp policies.

Have better customer service, and more professional... I basically pay for over 300 hundred for a worthless trip. Wrong info was put into the computer and I wasn't able to get the trailer that I need it. I'll be putting up a complaint in the company as soon as tomorrow.

Scam artist This location is trying to say that i owe over $1000 in damages That I know for a fact I did NOT DO Even with the purchased Safemove insurance they are still trying to steal from my account I was told by 3 diffrent people so far that the manager will review the cameras and call me back I have then called several times and email for a return call still no response

The woman that was the primary intake person for check in was a bit rude and seemed unhappy, she didn't seem to like her job. She was curt, ready to pounce with a negative response. On the other hand the young man that helped me find the truck was super nice, friendly and helpful.

I received a New van with 3 miles on it that was supposedly 1/8 full , when I checked out the gauge was below E and light on indicating low fuel, I was told I would receive a credit of $11.75 when I return truck , so I ended up putting in $17 worth of gas and only travel a totaled of 11 miles when I returned it and was only credited $3.75, was cheated , no transparency, I brought back vehicle with close to a 1/4 of gas , not good , wish this would not of happened

Its a great company and the staff is awsome and respectful and professional.. The only complaints is the drop key its not in a post is inside on the floor.. On the returning instructions its on a post where it can be seen. It took me 10 minutes to look for the box.. The door had indications where to drop the keys but had a green noticed and hard to see whe entering. I was charge an extra mile please refund that extra mile.. I took a picture and the tiime I initiated my drive and even before I started the engine..

All of our goods were soaked by the time we hit Chicago. The trailer clearly had a massive leak and the rain we drove through came in.

Worst customer service ever! The General manager and whomever their boss is, should be immediately fired. Those employees are a representation of the manager's and General manager's mismanagement and misjudgment, during the hiring AND training process. They hired the laziest, most ill informed, unprofessional group of employees of ANY company in the WORLD. I will NEVER do business with Uhaul again. The mere sound of the name makes me want to throw up. Horrible customer service on EVERY level and I will do my best to get tge word out to everyone I know personally and through social media.

Due to the covid restrictions the line was long, I had to stand for 20 minutes, wish I had a chair...everyone was very professional. I had to drive back to the trailer which he connected and then had to disconnect because I couldn't walk that far back to the office to pay and finish the paper work. I get it, probably some people would drive off. Jarret was very pleasant but said it's the rules. All the people working there were very professional and actually cheerful!!

I have used U-Haul many times and the online booking is horrible, especially if you have to make any changes to your order. They also don't let you park your car at their facility and make you park on the street, which in Chicago, is virtually impossible

Both Chicago(pick up) and Phoenix(drop off) location had an amazing staff. Friendly, took care of my needs right away. Chicago location provided a solution when we didn't have the right hitch. When I dropped off the transport equipment, I realized that both location were serious about their commitment to the customers.

1. They need more help in the morning on a weekend 2. Place is set up awkwardly and not very inviting, I would re-do the area where people stand and wait. There's a lot of stuff in that area making the flow feel weird. You feel like your at a post office of DMV- both not good feelings. 3. Organization. The wrong truck was given to me and it took about 30mins extra to get the situation fixed. The lady who helped me was nice about it. If you made the atmosphere better and got extra help especially on a weekend morning it would make a world of difference.

My first U-Box experience was okay. It was an issue with destination location & date, through must anxiety, DeAngela at the Call center & the General Michael Salata and his team at 4100 W. Fullerton were able to clarify the U Box process. They were willing to do as much as they could to make it right and I truly appreciate their help.

There was 2 to 3 workers working at the time but I still waited over 30 to 45 minutes in line just to pick up my motorcycle trailer I had on RESERVE earlier in the day. Just because the other employee thought it was more important to stock shelves or mope around store than help a line full of customers. Great location but HORRIBLE customer service.

The staff was great, but the trailer wiring was damaged. So the staff had to grab a different wiring kit. Just added time to the pickup. The staff did their best to get me out the door.

I had issues with my storage unit access card and waited for a staff member to go to the loading dock to help me but he never heard the page and I had to walk all the way to the customer service front desk and wait in line all over again. Other than that, staff members were extremely friendly and helpful.

Upon moving out and unpacking my boxes, I found bugs in several of them; waiting for management to call me to discuss. Also, whenever going to the storage facility I always saw suspicious behavior... people coming in and out all hours of the night just to hang out, wander the halls, sit and hang out in front of their units as if they lived there, fix their cars, park and drink, etc.... “24/7 security“ is hardly noticeable. I never felt safe going to the storage facility and now I’m certainly disgusted by the bugs found in my boxes.

Good experience overall. Just wish that during the online reservation process that in addition to picking the size of the unit that you could pick specific units or see in advance (before confirming) where the unit is located. I ended up with a unit as far away from the elevators as possible. Didn't discover it until I went in person and was told I was unable to switch to a different location within the facility.

We rented a storage facility and had to go on the upper floors to find flat carts for our use according to the employee. He said people would use them and not return them to their places. This caused me headaches that I would have to find them myself in lieu of him helping us. He did not even volunteer to help find us cart.

I would like to see 5x5 and bigger storage units have there own individual lighting...the lighting is okay but not sufficient from the hallways, the units are dark and I needed better lighting. Had to resort to a crappy cell phone flashlight which is hard when you need both your hands to work.

Very bad took forever an hour to get storage unit and truck rented Ian’s still wrong. 45?minute wait to get their lock off my unit and I was the only one there. So I waslate and my help had to leave

Wish for more elevators; it's a bottleneck. Also, car loading zone has 3 garage door openings. When all used, others have hard time bringing things in/out. Use 2 doors for cars, save 3rd door 4 others
