When I tried to tell the young man at the counter that I was charged more than I was quoted he told me that was the price and have a good day. He also informed me that uhaul had lots of customers and trucks and didn't need my business while the store manager stood next to him and said nothing. Called corporate and was told someone would call me back about it. Still waiting. Will never rent fro Uhaul again.

I only say no to the last question because I’d never recommend U-Haul to anyone, after my experience with this rental! Justin Ring is a very nice and helpful manager...BUT nothing could encourage me to ever say a good word about U-Haul! Especially after one of the customer service reps promised to get me compensated for all the problems I went through and the result of that was Absolutely NOTHING!

I rented a 15' truck at the full rate 1 week prior to when I needed it, and I was asked how long I think I would need it. I said approximately 6 hours and thought nothing of it. My wife then saw on the contract that the drop off time was 6 hours from when I picked it up, even though we paid the required 24 hour rental fee. My wife then called the Uhaul 800 number and was told what they did was wrong, and that I paid for a 24 hour rental so I was sent an email showing the drop off the following day, 24 hours later. I returned the truck 6 hours and 20 minutes after picking it up, and was told I had to pay a $50 cleaning charge for being late, yes a cleaning charge!!!! I was told I had to pay the fee because they had another renter for the truck at 3pm, even though I paid the 24 hour rate. I showed the "customer service rep" the updated email allowing me to keep the full 24 hours since I paid the 24 hour rate. Cody, the rep, said he didn't care and was charging me the $50, and smiled at me. I then called Uhaul 800 number and was on hold for 15 minutes. I finally spoke to a rep who said she could not refund the fee but said she would call the store while I was placed back on hold. I walked over to Cody as he spoke to the rep and he told her that he would not refund me the fee while smiling at me, and said several times to the rep, "I'll handle him." After being told by the rep the fee wouldn't be refunded I asked to speak to a manager after another 10 minute conversation that went nowhere. I had to ask several times. Finally I was told the manager was Samantha and that I would have to hold. After 10 or 15 minutes on hold, the rep came back on line very apologetic and was told my $50 would be refunded, and that a report was being generated about Cody and his rude lack of customer service." I was also told there were other trucks available on the lot for rental, so the "fee" was unjust. I will never go to Forest Hills Uhaul again, and will tell everyone I know how bad my experience was. Cody should be removed from his position. His demeanor is horrible as well as his customer service "skills." I felt like I was tricked when asked how long I was using the truck for. I thought the employees were simply making small talk about the move I was making, but really wanted to know so they could re-rent the truck the same day. Horrible tactics. Beware, and be sure to say when asked how long you think you're going to use the truck, say the full 24 hours so you're not charged a fee!!!

Again, my brother went to a different location first. Not only was there no one there, the person on the phone said he would be able to drop it off there. When someone came, they said he could not return it there, despite being told otherwise on the phone. The final location was okay.

Firstly, I had difficulty RENTING a uhaul with an agent on the phone. This resulted in me having to cancel and contact a manager instead to then cancel the uhaul and inquire with me about another rental. Then when we rented the uhaul we dropped it off late so we called to confirm. The agent had an attitude with us and basically had an issue with it but didn’t directly say it. ON TOP OF IT, uhaul hasn’t even charged me my money! I will definitely attempt to try to find a NEW rental place because I CANT deal with this anymore.

The drop off line under the green tent was long and we are told to drop off there but not block the exit or entrance. There should be 2 drop off locations at least so that it won't be a issue.

I had the worst customer experience I have ever received. The associate named Craig Johnson was very rude, short tempered and eventually told me “ I will give you what ever attitude you give me”. When I explained to him that’s not how customer service worked he walked off. Never to assist us again, or explain to his associate to further assist us. After waiting at the counter for several minutes we addressed the next counter over as here a gentleman named Chris was very helpful. As other customers came through Craig continued to be short with other guests. Glad to know it wasn’t just us, but truly disappointed to know this is what represents Uhaul.

Check in and check out took way too long. Equipment was plowed in to parking space, unable to back out because of snow and ice. When Returning the vehicle sign says to remain in vehicle during business hours and someone will assist... Sat in vehicle for 10 minutes and finally had to go inside to complete the return.

Customer service was very good, two young people running to operation both very capable?? Consistent shortfalls in your IT interface. While scheduling me rental, the reservation dropped out causing us to start over twice.... when my info is in your system already, picking up equipment should be streamlined more... spent ten min at the counter, eight min too long. Would have been nice to have been able to take it back where I picked it up. Picked the truck up on forest hills rd, and had to return it on the other side of town on w state street rockford, then drive all the way back across town to forest hills rd to pick up my car.

Equipment was good and price was fair as it has been in my decades of experience with U Haul. But the people at this location were well above my expectations. I dealt with three people with check in and checkout. All were exceptional. They are friendly, knowledgeable and caring. But the icing on the cake was that, for the first time in a long time, I felt that the people liked their jobs and were actually happy that I was there. I will definitely be returning to this location in the future and recommending it. Thank you to the good people of this location.

Felt the young man who dealt with me was a bit rude. Asked me if I was running late today cause I wasn’t there on time to pick up the rental. Then informed me the rental would have been canceled if I was an hour late. No one ever told me that before his less than friendly announcement
