The only problem I have is not with the local U-Haul staff at the stores but the the people who answer the calls. They messed up my order twice. Need to be retrained or find a new job they can handle.

Large facility with storage units attached. Better signage would help locate the office. Only saw two people and they seemed VERY busy. One was unwilling to even give instructions, the other appeared from somewhere, asked if we had a problem as he dropped the trailer and walked off. It was very quick, we didn't wait long, but would have been nice to at least have some kind of document indicating that we had in fact returned the trailer.

The truck bed was not swept out. It was so dirty that we had to tape down a plastic liner to keep our stuff clean. The blankets were full of twigs, dead bugs and leaves. These were folded and inside the plastic bag. Are they ever washed? The front tires of the truck were very worn. Fortunately it was just a local move.

Return lanes were very congested and it appeared they were hookungvtrailers up in same area when I dropped off. Makes me wonder if they have really gone over equipment prior to going out again and another customer inducated he was very confused about where to pick his trailer up. Drop off lanes were labelled but he acted like he'd been told to back to a trailer in same area I was in

You didn't have the truck I was needing so was forced to use a ten foot truck and make 4 trips rather than one maybe two to get moved that was very inconvenient and more expensive

Checked in online, spent over an hour at uhaul facility waiting on rental. Returned it with more fuel than they gave me at rental then charged for fuel. Returned truck, waited 30 minutes for someone to assist me before just leaving the keys the seat and leaving. Then I get a call from the facility asking when I'm going to return truck. Piss poor service to a 100% disabled veteran and his family.

During peak hours, like on a Saturday morning, have more than one person working the front counter. I was at the location 2 Saturday mornings in a row. The first for my truck to receive a pre-trip hitch inspection and the other to return a trailer. Both times the location was extremely busy and only one person working the counter. That is the only reason the location did not get an excellent rating from me. All the employees, and the Manager, were extremely friendly, helpful and polite. I will use this location again if the need arises.

I would say that if you want to stay in business as a moving company you need to fix your reservation process your program sucks!!!! I reserved a truck and went to pick it up and was told you did not have a reserved truck I had the confirmation number and was told that was not your number so I went home 189 miles with out a truck so now I reserved a truck for the next weekend get you paper with a number on it you call me on Monday and tell me that my truck will be ready the next day again I say no it is four Saturday 1 July I read the number to you and you tell me that your only working Monday and Tuesday schedule I asked why did you call me then. Now you call me on Thursday and tell me I can't have the truck size I requested then on Friday 31 June you call me and ask me what time a. I picking up my truck I say on Saturday 1 July and you tell me that I don't have a truck scheduled for Saturday 1JULY I SAY I HAD BETTER you tell me to calm down how can a person calm down when you are given the information face to face and you screw it all up I will say this it will be a cold day in hell before I ever come to Uhaul again

Seal around driver's door was sagging. Called because transmission was not shifting correctly. Was offered roadside service but we were already at one of our destinations. Requested a call back from individual that handled the rental. Never heard back from him. A relative showed me how to disengage the heavy load towing and the transmission worked fine. Thank goodness he knew since I did not get a call back from UHaul.

Spoke with Deborah to resolve an issue in regards to obtaining a receipt. It was the worst experience I've ever encountered with a customer service representative ever. Condescending, unapologetic , lacking genuine concern, empathy and passing blame to others. Stated that it wasnt her job to find a receipt and other employees do not like doing it because it takes too much time. Insisted on pointing out that I was wrong in product description more than once.

Someone had smoked in the vehicle I rented and it was not pleasant. I told them I would probably only take a couple hours and that's the time they put on the contract. I thought rentals were per day. When I told the lady that checked me in that I didn't want to be held to that amount of time, she rolled her eyes at me.

It is way too expensive I mean nearly $50 just for a couple hours for a dolly are you serious I almost could have bought one for that and no coupons no discounts no nothing I mean come on now you guys used to be awesome actually cared about their customers now you guys are too wrapped up in money not you don't see the big picture you're going to lose a lot of customers but it doesn't matter to you because you are already rich I'm never coming back if i can help it pretty good customer service though I will give you that

The store literally tried to cancel a prepayed order, at the tine of pick up simply because I used foul language on his store??!! My aunt who had ordered the u haul for HER needs was refused the vehicle despite the reservation due to a personal disagreement between him and I. That is in no way good business practice

I chose to use U-haul because the store I wanted to deliver charged $60. An associate there suggested I rent a vehicle. The vehicle I chose listed at $29, so I thought I was going to save over half the cost. When fees like gas and mileage and of course tax were added in, my price was more than $80. I would have done better to just let the institution deliver my goods. The vehicle had lots of dings but did ride well and got the job done.

Great service, friendly staff The trailer I rented had a flat tire and I had to take it to another rental center to get the tire changed. When I returned the trailer they adjusted my rental time to compensate me for this issue. I will definitely rent from this center again and will recommend them to my friends.

I rented a 20' van and a tow dolly. I KNOW I should have read every sticker on the tow dolly or read up on it somewhere else, but the two UHaul personnel that helped me did NOT tell me NOT to ever back up with a tow dolly attached. No damage was done to the car (I hope) but I did back up once and THEN I saw the sticker about not backing up. UHAUL PERSONNEL SHOULD ADVISE THAT ANYTIME ANYONE RENTS A TOW DOLLY!!! Other than that, the UHaul personnel were polite, friendly, and totally professional.

Our reservation wasn't honored so therefore we had to rent a smaller truck and make several trips. We also had to work at a pace that was grueling because the truck had to returned the next day instead of the 2 day rental I had originally planned for. The truck had to be jump started each and every time we used it. Tried to call road side twice and no one would answer. So no we had a terrible experience.

The truck was cockroach infested. We sprayed, but it did not kill the roaches. We had to return the truck and our hired crew had to wait for another to be delivered to the store, then drive 40 minutes to our home. More blankets were promised, but on arrival to our home, none were in the truck. My son had to drive back for more blankets. The employed were matter of fact about the whole incident. Reservation was nothing like when I called and set it up. Had to return my equipment to a different location then planned. It cost 400$ more then my quote that was given to me up front. The reservation was hours behind schedule, delaying my move by 8 hours. Took forever for them to get my truck and trailer to me. Waited for 45 minutes after I checked in to get my equipment to me.

(This is not a local store problem but a national dispatch problem, the local store was the best experience I have ever had with U-Haul!) I have yet to use U-Haul and actually get the equipment that I confirmed. This time I confirmed a 26 foot truck only to get a call the day before stating that I would get a 20 foot truck or need to make an 80 mile round trip drive to pick up the 26 foot truck at another location on my already tight moving date. We chose the 20 foot truck due to time and did not have enough room, now we will be making another trip across the state to get the rest of our stuff at a later date. This has happened with the last 3 times that I have rented trucks.

Tried to rent truck for local one day use, 15-20 units on lot, nearly all in same parking spot when I returned trailer that afternoon plus 4 returns. Not a good policy for locals. Daughter had reserved on line enclosed trailer for Tuesday, not available when we arrived forced to take undesirable substitute.

Absolutely nothing, the drop off was simple, extremely fast, and i was there only maybe 5 minutes. I did not have to show I.D., any papers, credit card, or anything. Everything was done on a hand held computer and the man knew who i was before i got out of the truck.

This store has always been top notch and been on point with providing the equipment I asked for exactly as I needed in a timely fashion. On turn in, the assistant David Reid was very friendly and helpful in getting the truck and equipment checked back in and by far has been one of the best associate encounters because of his upbeat demeanors and his diligent hard work ethic which was evident. This location has consistently done well with helping me whether rent, return, store, or get supplies. So long as I am in the Lubbock area, I will continue to use this location for moving or storage. A++

When we arrived to pick up the truck, it had not yet been returned by the previous person, so they substituted a 17 foot truck for the 15 foot truck we had reserved, and our moving plans were not delayed. We were very appreciative of accommodation.

I went 6 miles over so I was charged extra for that. However I can't get any money back for filling up the gas tank with more fuel than what I got it with. Plus the guy was upset with where I parked the truck however coming in off of 34th I couldn't tell where to go. So for nickel and diming me plus for being a douche bag I give them a really low rating.

Manager does not hold up his end of an arrangement he made. His employees told my son he needed to pay for the Uhaul insurance, which he did not, and when I disputed this issue, I was told that my son did not read the entire contract. After me arguing my dispute for 20 minutes, he said he was getting no where and he would honor the free dolly and moving pads and remove the $42 charge for insurance. I am waiting to make sure this happens; otherwise, will dispute with American Express.

A deep cleaning of the cab of the 26' truck I used would be helpful! The drink holders had spilled, dried-out residue in it, the floors NEXT to the edges of the the seat and console had some sort of residue on the floor, and there was a partial piece of the paper from a straw in one of the drink holders... Overall the cab was okay, but I really didn't want to touch anything but the steering wheel, radio button, and A/C switch...

HE SAID HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT AND REPORT THE PROBLEM. HE DID NOT DO THAT, THE TRAILER WAS RENTED OUT THE NEXT DAY. NOW THEN I AM TRYING FILE A CLAIM FOR THE LOST IDEMS, BUT THERE IS NO RECORD OF THE TRAILER HAVE A PROBLEM. THERE FOR THERE IS NO PROOF THAT TRAILER HAD A PROBLEM. I DO NOT THINK THAT IS VERY FAIR TO ME AND MY FAMILY. THE CLAIMS DEPARTMENT TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO WITH OUT PICTURES AND REPIAR ORDER ON THE TRAILER. WHO TAKES PICTURE OF A LOADED AND LOCKED TRAILER? I AM NOT EVEN GETTING STARTED ON THE CALL CENTER. THAT WAS ANOTHER MESS. Make sure the fuel level is correct. There was less fuel in the truck than what the contract had. After checking the truck, there was 3/8 full and the contract showed that the truck was supposed to have half a tank. Lubbock Uhaul lied to me about my rate. I initially rented a 6x12 trailer for a day. I called and talked with a lady about extending the rental and dropping it off in Spring TX. Our other 26ft rental couldn't hold all our household belongings. When I returned to Spring a $286 extra fee was charged. I called Lubbock uhaul and they told me verbal changes don't apply only written contract are valued. I was mislead. When I called about the change I offered to change trailers If needed. I actually went to that location 2 other times to pick up boxes and auto transporter. They should have told me I needed a new contract or get hit a large fee. Very disappointed in ability to communicate professionally. Why wouldn't I have signed a new contract to save $286.

Truck had a broken windshield, passenger's door lock was bent, steering wheel would move 2-3" either way without turning the wheels. Needs some serious steering maintenance. This made driving a real chore. Need cruise control for long trips. Gas mileage driving 65 mph was terrible for a lightly loaded truck at 10 mpg. Will use Penske next time.

The first man that helped me did not seem to have a clue how to answer pricing questions. After 15 minutes of obvious confusion, a young, more knowledgeable man named Blake came to the rescue. With a few minutes he had everything set up for me. The day of pickup we did have to wait for a tail light to be replaced before we could leave with the trailer. It might be helpful that issues such as this be checked for and remedied before the customer arrives.

I just noticed that when I was asked to sign the Safemove Validation Tag, I was not shown the handwritten note on the BACK of the form that states that the "Corner cap is torn with a temporary aluminum tape repair. Customer accepts the risk of water damage." It is imperative that the clerk show the customer BOTH sides of whatever is to be signed.

Uhaul needs to be upfront about the final price. I went online to price check. I obtained a reasonable quote. But when I went to pay for and pick up the truck, the price was significantly higher. 65 dollars higher. This caught me off guard because I am on a very tight budget. The CSR told me it was due to taxes and fees. I understand taxes and fees. But this should have been noted in the quote. After all, the quote said 'Final price'. Very misleading. I won't use UHaul again because I never know what the 'Final Price' may be. And that is vital information. On a positive note, the CSR understood my dismay and accommodated me by giving me a 20.00 discount, so I wasn't out nearly as much as I would have been. Still very disappointing, though. The truck was clean, the store was clean, the Lubbock CSR was amazingly wonderful. Thank you.

I ordered a 15' truck for 9:00 AM. The best you could provide was a 29' tuck at 10'. I had to go to a separate location to get the furniture pads. The truck was clean and operational at pick up. The left taillight/blinker quit working later that day. We had no time to fix it. One of the three twelve-volt plugs did not work. Everyone was friendly and helpful but overall a frustrating experience.

Overall my experience was just "ok". I was charged for two days as opposed to one and it took five phone calls to get it all sorted out. On the other hand the employee who set up my rental did an excellent job. He is a great asset to your company and should be recognized. I received such great customer service from this employee that I provided him with a recruiting card for my company. I wish I could remember his name but surely you can pull the contract to find out. Gary is truly a professional at heart. I made a reservation on the same day late afternoon for a truck. When I arrived there I was greeted by Gary with a warm nearly personable experience. After providing my reservation number Gary discovered that all trucks were leased out. Without a mire thought Gary explained and provide me with a brand new van with less than 7,000 miles in place of the truck. Gary truly understand what it means to know your product just as well as great customer service. Little did I know the Brand New Van was exactly what was needed. Kudos Gary thanks U-Haul. He even worked late to help out co-workers. Awesome

Have reserved equipment checked out the day or night before it is to be picked up. For my first rental several weeks earlier, the original truck chosen had a dead battery. Also on my first rental, even though I had done the paperwork online, I was still asked the same questions in person; in short, I did not get away from the location for 45 minutes ... though the second choice came with a full tank, which helped to make up for time lost. The paperwork problem did not occur for this latest rental.

I was impressed with the service at location. The only suggestions I can make are: 1) please check the condition of the inside of the windows. The windshield was dirty and spotted with water stains, so it became very hard to see through as the sun was getting low. 2) please add a sticker near the gas tank or gas gauge indicating what type of gas to use. I had to call to find out if it needed diesel or ordinary unleaded. Anyway, thanks for a pleasant and easy experience renting from Uhaul.

The only 6x12 open trailer in town I had reserved had a flat when I went to pick it up. They gave me the next smaller size but charged me the same price as the larger. Took two extra loads to move my stuff with the smaller trailer.

I rented the largest truck to be fully loaded to drive over a mountain pass somImrequested it to be in very good condition with good tires for the drive. Early the next morning, none of the Gage's worked at all. It was a disaster for a 350 mile drive! Will never use them again!

I went online to see what my options were for renting a moving truck. Uhaul looked like a great deal for $69. I ordered the 20' truck plus dollies and pads. This was the best deal online. When I went to pick it up, I had to guesstimate the miles I would drive and pay for mileage on top of that. I paid $98 total. I returned the truck and my bank was drafted another $76 the following day. The receipt stated I used more mileage than guesstimated, $28 in gas, and a $25 cleaning fee . Wow! $174 later. No longer a good deal. I felt ripped off.

The customer service representative at the desk when we picked up the truck was amazing. I think his name was Fernando Sanchez. He made us laugh on what was going to be a long day of moving. The truck had a busted passenger side mirror but was clean. Upon return to this location later that same day, we had to hunt down a customer service representative because no one was present at the counter for at least a few minutes.

Make sure the truck that is given out is test driven or reviewed for damages. I do not like how the location said they dont check for damages if there is no need or reason too. We got a truck that had to be picked up because wheel was damaged.

Gave a truck with bad tires after saying they were good despite the air pressure sensors being on. I told them about this and they admitted it was their fault yet did nothing. I had to take the truck back and get air before moving. I was offered no refund despite being their fault. I will never use this company again and do not use this store.

This place was very crowed with equipment. Harder to navigate. The returning of the truck was a much easier process and much less stressful than the rental process. The truck was clean and got the job done. We did our part. We returned the truck clean and full of gas.

I reserved a trailer and the price showed to be $42 12 hours later when I attempted to pick up the trailer, the desk clerk quoted me $97.. and told me that the price probably changed..I want put side and cancelled my reservation rebooked it and went back in and was told it would be $42 for the same trailer.

I was informed that I went over my miles and that there would be a $28 charge. I just received the bill and it's also for $15 for gas. I returned it at 5/8 but the receipt shows the return agent marked it down as 1/2. It's deceptive because when I was informed that there was a $28 charge for going over my miles, I wasn't informed that $15 of that was for gas. I can email you copies of the gas receipts. One near my office (about 10 minutes away from U-haul return location), and the other from the gas station right across the street at I-27 & 34th street from the U-haul return location.

The lot is very crowded and hard to drive through even in my personal vehicle much less a big truck. The guys outside were not helpful I drove right passed them initially a second guy stopped me and had me back up to the guy with sunglasses that still stood there looking clueless. They gave me no instructions. The guy inside was having computer trouble and had to ask questions 3 times. Poor customer service all together. The second guy outside did help but I'm sure he can't do everything by himself.

When I walked in there were four employees and what looked like four customers. I stood in line for about five min at one point two of the employees had looked up but didn't say a word. I feel greeting the customer when they walk in makes the fact that they are about spend money way better.

The counter person advised it would be at least 1/8 tank of gas in the truck and to be sure and leave that amount in there our we would be charged. I received a vehicle with the empty light on the gas tank, which was noticed by the person who inspected it. We left between 1/4 and 1/2 tank of gas in the truck, but was not compensated for it.

I wasn't able to get the equipment closer to where I lived. It took extra expense to travel to the u-haul company. The milage was off by 40 miles so I had to pay extra milage. I have had excellent service from the u-haul on I-35E in DeSoto, Texas. I won't use U-haul again if I have to use one in Midlothian, Tx

I've been to many Uhaul locations. From Dallas to College Station. This is the best location I've been to. The friendly employees and can do attitude was appreciated. The employee hitched up my car hauler in the rain. He never complained and asked that I get in the truck to stay dry. He was kind young man I appreciate his good attitude. When I returned the trailer the employee who received it was also very friendly and helpful. Awesome service at Uhaul 34th st. in Lubbock, TX.

I know the store is in overload from all of the Tech students returning for classes, but a truck bath with a windshield I could see out would be helpful. Other than that, the box was clean, interior cab was clean, the gal who helped me had a computer problem, was very apologetic and was outstanding.
