I was there during two peak busy times. Staff was courteous and working hard to serve customers. Worked around a minor printer problem and responded instantly to get a lost phone back to a customer. Top marks for Wanda, Kayla, and Kevin.

This location isn't trained properly on the system that there using, why did I do express check in, when I was there an hour waiting just to get a trailer? The check-in for the trailer was faster then getting one. I do like your moving boxes they have handles and the boxes are dual cell type, to handle moves back and fourth.

Provide accurate information upfront. I feel I was miles by this location and by Customer Service at 1-800-GO-U-Haul. I was told that since I was dropping the trailer off in Grand Forks earlier than the three days allowed that the charges would be prorated based on the actual time I had the trailer in my possession. I returned the trailer after using one day. I was told by the representative in Grand Forks that I would be charged for all three days. Sure enough, I was charged for all three days even though I had the trailer for one day. I wish your employees could more honest up front so I can make a decision based on accurate information.

They are not very responsive. When I picked up my trailer I was supposed to be given a pack of packing blankets but they were not in the trailer. I called the Uhaul 800 number and they said the local office would call me shortly-that was two days ago and I have not received a call and I have not been credited for the missing blankets.

This location was in the middle of a street construction zone. it took me a while to get into it. Had to go over a mile out of my way to be able to turn into the lot. Then waited nearly a half hour to talk with a scheduler. One guy took all that time to talk with Spanish speaking customers and from what i could understand is he was enjoying showing off his language skills. while we waited..

your customer service employs are not doing there job well. it took me about 20 minutes to check out. On my way to return no one told me where to drop. finally when I went inside to ask the person I ask information wasn't happy I ask. all in all customer service in this location was poor.

The stated level of the gas gauge was incorrect at checkout which led to me having to put in 8 gallons of gas for a 28 mile trip. I was handed the keys to an unfamiliar truck with no instruction and the assumption that the employee signing out the vehicle had verified that the gas level was the same as stated in the contract. Same employee three hours later took no responsibility or showed any flexibility. I will be sharing this experience with all that will listen.

It would be nice if you had people return the truck with a full gas tank. All you can do is guess how much gas you're going to use if you don't want to be charged a ridiculous amount.

Trailer had dirt in it still. No big deal. I did want to mention that man and woman working the front desk that morning (around 11:00) did a great job dealing with an irate customer that was upset because they wouldn’t let him leave with a trailer because his lights weren’t working right. He was pretty upset and I thought the folks working did a good job handling him.

The location is really weird to maneuver around. We had a paint can spill while we were in transit. We tried to look for a place to wash it out, but we were unsuccessful. We told them this upon drop off. When I showed them I continued to clean it up with what I had and they gave me a scraper. I eventually gave up and told them I did the best I could. Then guy cleaning and checking in the vehicles comes over with some magic spray that cleans it up with no problem. I am highly irritated at this because two of the employees saw what I was doing. I will never use this location again.

Improve time of service. It shouldn't take 50 minutes to rent a trailer. One service rep for a long line of people. Having used other locations in the past, we will never return to this location.

I had issue with accident, although I paid for insurance no body from Uhaul helped me out. I had to pay extra day and was forced to bring the trailer 6 hrs after my extra day charges started otherwise I was going to be charged $50 extra. I had to rent a car from my friend because mine couldn't run anymore. So annoyed by your service this time.

The whole new process of you taking a pic of your id right at the office, uploading it and the going online to submit photos, mileage etc when dropping off is bogus to say the least. Your phone could die, not everyone is tech savvy or use a smartphone, i couldnt even upload a pic of my id the store manager had to you his. Takes too much time, also when i returned the truck i couldnt sign off because it wouldnt let me on my phone luckily i went with a friend so his worked. You dont replace it if it isn't broken, the old process was way better, i wouldn't rent there anytime soon or recommend if it stays the same, i met two different people who had same issues at the location returning it.

I was not thrilled with the surprise charges. I was charged to fold blankets. No one mentioned that when I got the truck. The gas was slightly lower than where they gave it to me at. I returned it as I got it and was told it would be a $17 charge. The other option would have been to get back in line... I did not think it would be that big of deal. It is a pretty poor system.

Kenneth Lindsey was the gentleman that took care my return. Despite being very busy. He got to me quickly. He forgot me briefly, was gracious about it and got me on my way. My past transactions at this site have had long waits and confusion and frankly I thought twice about returning the trailer here. Because of his service I would return here.

Amazing service even in the rain! Possibly cover your return area with an overhang or carport of some sort, so that your workers and customers don't get so wet in the rain.

It took almost 45 minutes to get to the front of the line to get the truck I reserved in the first place. This wasn't the worst part of the service today though. As we went to return the vehicle the check out line for the vehicles was so long we had to wait in the busy street causing cars to swerve around me. Overall an unnecessaraly stressful and unpleasant time.

There were only two employees on duty at the time. They were overwhelmed with customers trying to return equipment as I was waiting to rent the truck that I had reserved. Some of the custumers were very upset. I thought the employees handle it very well. HIGH MARKES TO THE EMPLOYEES ON DUTT THEN.

I asked for an unlimited mileage van that I could use for 2 hours. I ended up paying for mileage. My total was more than the price promised. I ended up with a 100.00 bill for a 2-hour loan, and I filled the tank. Wowzers is all I gotta say. I will never rent from UHAUL again.

As usual a long line was found when I entered the store plus no parking available so had to leave line when counter person said people need to move their cars. While in line for over 45 minutes, one of the counter people decided to take a phone call rather than wait on those who had been waiting for service. Poor judgement. Not sure how a caller who just called is more important than the 7 people waiting in line. That call took about 10 minutes and of course I was next in line and after I had already been waiting in line for 35 minutes. My arrival at the location to the time I departed with the trailer was 60 minutes. To me, way to long.

Spent nearly 45 minutes in like with two people only ahead of me, then when we went to do a night return the website didn’t work, I spent over an hour trying to get the pictures to upload, then spent another 30 minutes on hold to just call someone. A pretty painful rental and return. Will go with another moving company in the future.

Everything was done with great service in mind for the customer. I had confidence in the work that was completed on my 2018 Toyota Prius Prime hitch and wiring harness Installation. I would highly recommend this Maplewood, Mn. U Haul service center for their honest straight forward information and fair pricing for the work they performed for me.

There was only one person working there and a line of people waiting to pick up items. I had made my reservation on line and I still needed to supply more information at the counter, The truck I rented for a one way trip only had 3/8 of a tank of gas in it when I picked it up.

Please review the bill with customers! Ended up paying for things that I would rather not have purchased. Of course it's partly my fault, but taking a second on your part to slow down a busy customer would have been appreciated.. Enjoy your extra profits but know that I can make other choices going forward and WILL NOT FORGET!

When making a reservation, I was told there would be a Stillwater, MN drop-off location. Before returning the trailer, I called to get the address of the drop-off location, I was told there wasn't one in Stillwater, MN. It would have been helpful to know that ahead of time. Also, the online reservation system was great except that it wouldn't allow me to choose a drop-off location. (That was why I called U-Haul directly to make the reservation.)

When I went in to pick up the truck there was a long line, and at first, only one person checking customers in. After 20min, another employee came to the counter and then things went faster. I used the online check so by the time it was my turn, get from the counter to the truck was pretty quick. Thought the woman who ai dealt with was very nice, experienced and all had a good sense of humor. Returning the truck was also easy.

Having only one employee working at a busy pickup time of 8am made the process very slow. The layout of this facility is terrible. It is unclear where to park, and throughways often get blocked by a vehicle making it impossible to get where you need to go especially when pulling a trailer.

Very difficult to get to if driving South on White Bear Avenue. Many U Haul renters are not confident when towing and the poor access makes this even more challenging.

They had to verify the vehicle I was using before checking me in for the reservation (even though they would be hooking the trailer up to said vehicle). They had to call my cell phone from the store while I was there. And they sent a link to my cell phone without asking me (a link which didn't even work). It made me feel like a criminal and I doubt I'll ever be back. I've been using this location for years and I've never gone through this. But whatever policy changes they made or whatever I'm going to use Henjy or White Bear Rental next time I need a trailer. Also the line was really long and had to wait a long time.

However, I WOULD NOT recommend A+ Movers, who are on your Moving Help List for St. Paul. They showed up. said we were not ready for the move (we were ready), then insulted us, and refused to do the move. Looked like it they were both on something.

Uhaul is a great place. The owner was so understanding and sensitive to my situation. The workers were great to. I will use only Uhaul trucks and storage from now on. I recommend Uhaul to everyone.

The process was extremely long to pick up the trailer. Pictures of licenses and license plates. Several questions that could have been answered when I made the reservation. Calling phone numbers to be sure we listed the right primary AND secondary #. When I commented on how long the process was taking the guy said it was because we switched the vehicle that was going to be pulling the trailer - which was only after all the other things I mentioned above. He was very rude after that. I will never rent from Uhaul again. I wished I would have rented from the family owned Hjeny Rental location down the street. We would have been in and out of there in no time.

I rated this 2 stars because when I arrived to pick up the truck, there was quite a long line and only 1 employee to check everyone in. Once I got to the counter, I was quoted a higher price than the phone rep. The Maplewood location charges $200 cash deposit instead of $100 like I was told on the phone. I was also charged $141 (included insurance) for the truck instead of $107. Definite communication fail. If this reservation wasn't so last minute, I might have cancelled it.

I have booked a van from a location 2 miles from my house the day before I needed the van everything went smooth booking online and it showed that the van is available at that location. In the morning, I have received a call that the van is not available at this location & I had to drive 20 miles between Burnsville MN and Maple Wood MN where I only needed the van to move one thing from Eagan MN to Burnsville MN. So I had to waste my time driving and get charged for the extra mileage that I have driven. On top of that, I wasn’t able to return the van to a nearby location to avoid driving extra miles and getting charged for it. This very unprofessional and wasn’t expected from such a big company.

I tried express check-in and it still took a long time to pick up my trailer. There was only one person at the desk and she was handling what seemed to be an unnecessarily complicated order, so spent most of the time standing in line. Check in was not a great experience... someone was cleaning out a truck while I was waiting in line to just unhook the trailer. He pretty much ignored me. Another employee saw me, asked me to pull around the truck, and helped me unload the trailer the trailer worked well every bit as expected so I have no complaints.

Was told wrong information day before drop off. Trucks transmission was horrible, caused one of our desks and Tvs to break due to constant clunky shifting. Employees should all be on same page, employees also tried charging us for using dolly, when we used our own to move.

I think the wait could be shortened when a person signs up online and yes I even scanned my drivers license. I’m a disabled veteran with a cane and had to stand for close to a half hour before I was helped. Situational awareness was lacking. My honest truth and nothing personal.

I don’t understand why you advertise a rental at or “as low as” $19 but exclude all other charges! Also, I asked for a small truck and received a much more “expensive” rental. If I was not as desperate I would not have allowed UHaul to take advantage of me! Fuckers!

My experience with the individual UHaul locations have been very positive. That said, this is not the first time your online system has allowed me to book something a specific location doesn't have. Your staff was very helpful in helping me find a location that did have the trailer I requested and when I arrived at the White Bear Ave location they were very quick to get me on my way and helped hookup everything up. As far as your staff is concerned, great experience. Your website and inventory management? Attrocious.

the new online check in system is horrible. The website was working and when it was it took so long to load I had to leave as it was already 10 minutes to load. Bring the old computer version back and put down the phones. It made the experience horrible and I will go to another company that doesn't use such a terrible system.

Friendly staff! Truck was in great shape. Gas was right below full when I picked it up though and you need to return it to that level. It would be easier for the customer to have the tank totally full so you wouldn’t have to look at the paperwork for how many gallons to use to get it to the point it was when you started.

I used to think UHaul was the top rental truck company, after today, I've decided it's probably not best to use UHaul again. I did all the work of reserving and returning the vehicle. Why am I paying to do an employee's job. I'm taking pictures and submitting mileage and fuel levels then locking the cab and putting the keys in a box? 15 minutes of me doing all the work? Ridiculous. Insane mileage prices. I think i should get $20 back just for all the work i did in place of an employee. I'll go elsewhere next time, thanks.

The owner of this location helped me, picked up late after work and planned to be back by 10pm. Took longer than expected so I called in and reserved for an additional day. Brought it back the next day and owner only charged me for one full day. Also have me a deal on additional boxes I needed to finish my move! Highly recommended!

Rented my uhaul for 48 hours but only used it for 24. I asked if I could get a refund and I got s very rude reply, “no, it’s already been paid for”. I find it very hard to believe that I paid $255 for a trailer to be used for only 24 hours. Never using uhaul again.

I arrived on time to drop off my truck after 4 hours and had to wait a least 10 minutes to get my truck checked in. Then the representative assisting me completed other tasks in a different self storage building while checking my truck in (perhaps to charge me more for checking in “late”) then the representative proceeded to state I damaged the truck when another worker stated clearly the damage was marked as “previous damage”. I was charged for two days when I had the truck 4 hours. Now I have made at least 4 phone calls to get reimbursed with no result. I will be forced to contact Minneaota’s Attorney General if this overcharging scheme is not resolved. I cannot imagine how many people this employee has overcharged because they are in a weird mood. Never rent a Uhaul in Maplewood....

I was the 4th person in line to get the van I had reserved on line. It was 45 min before I got in the van. Not enough desk people and a huge amount of paperwork. Please streamline the experience. I will complete as much as possible online the next time I rent. On the plus side, when I returned the vehicle, no questions asked, I just handed over the keys, was billed correctly and was out in a flash.

Service computer system slow Staff can act a little quickly I doubt about the the full tank when taking the truck. I drove 20miles with empty truck and fill 3 gallon gas to get the tank full. So truck mileage is 7miles per gallon. Is that too low? Staff is very careful about every detail.

I rent from you on a regular basis. This time they required 2 phone numbers from me and had to call numbers to verify they were mine. The time it took us a waste of my time. Also my phone numbers are none of your business and to call them is an invasion of my privacy. Not sure if I will rent from Uhaul again due to this procedure.
