I called and talked with them and asked them to leave my keys in my van because I was unable to get a ride over until after they closed. They said they would. When I got there my van was locked and they were closed. I had to get another ride over the next day. The customer service lady was less then helpful. She did what was needed but nothing more. She told me the truck number and said it's in the lot. I asked about the change in return local and was told call call customer service . The truck was mixed in with display truck with the advertising sun blocker still in windshield. The windshield was so covered in bugs it was near unsafe to drive.MARK STEVEN I.

I was given instructions to pick up the truck at the Franklin Location on Conover Street. It was not there. We were told to go to Middletown - and no other assistance could be given. In Middletown there was a long line - long wait. It pushed our move back hours. There was good help at Middletown but it didn't make up for the time lost in finding the rental truck. Very chaotic - and will likely avoid using Uhaul again. I'd rather pick up a truck at Lowes or Home Depot.DIANE A.

I was told that that was a big unit I rented and I could barely get my washer and dryer and couch in Theresa well as 6 medium boxes! We spent over 3 hours trying to cram everything in there and rearrange the few items we was storing! So I am BEYOND dissatisfied and this will be the last time I rent from them and I definitely will not be recommending to anyone else!!!!Amy T. | First Impressions

There was a thin blonde hair lady that was rude to the gentleman in front me of trying to charge him an extra day, then was rude to me telliing me I can't rent the tow dolly , I told her the website allowed me to and explained what I needed to do to haul a RWD vehicle. This is the worst experience since I first use uhaul few years ago! I rented it for 12 hours and returned it at the same day night but they charged me for two days! Also, I refueled the gas before I returned the truck. I'm 100% sure the gas is more than what it has before I used it. But the store still charge $18 from me! I was charged extra $71 because what I talked above. The store refused to do anything about that and become very impatient when I went to the store and talked to them. Probably I can't get my money back, but I won't recommend anyone to go that store anymore. The worst in the worst!Hanqing N.

The only issue was that I had paid for and requested a dolly with truck but when I opened the cargo area, there was no dolly. I was charged for this and would like to be refunded the $7.00. This was by far the BEST Uhaul I have ever been to. There was a short line but when it got longer another employee promptly hopped in to help and the cargo van was seriously spotless! It was also clearly well maintained as I actually had a lot of fun driving it! The van was super modern and had a lot of â€œgoâ€ to it so I felt much safer knowing it handles well. Very rude we had trouble returning on the website and walked up to see if any could help and as we walked into the outside part of the building because we couldn't find anyone else one of the men cleaning and returning the uhals said why the f*%k are they in thereDylan R.
Waited in line for 20 minutes to rent uhaul. Was charged $20 extra for returning my trailer early before the location opened. Worst move I've ever had. Moving company booked through moving help came from 100 miles from my location, resulting in them not arriving to Uhaul to pick up Uboxes until 10am. They waited over an hour for uboxes to be ready. With 7 uboxes between requirements at UHaul and the lack of resources by the moving company to support our move resulted in 1 box never being delivered, the movers not being able to load our last ubox, and they never showed up to load the final box. Resulting in us having to do it on our own. The professional from all parties was unacceptable. Everyone I spoke with pointed the finger at someone else and or just forwarded us to someone else, who forwarded us to someone else.Kristin S.

Do not allow customers to book a pickup at a location that does not have the truck they're getting available. I had to drive an hour to go pick up my truck after getting to my original pickup location and waiting on hold for thirty minutes with customer service.TAYLOR J.

We have used several times and not had a problem. But we accidently left our keys in the van we rented. We called the following morning several times with no answer. We my fiancÃ©e got there and explained the situation and asked about his keys ..... they were in a garbage can. We felt this was very poor customer service. We have a combined 45 years of customer service experience between us and this was just very sad and poor customer service.Andrew C.

When COVID struck and people weren’t making their regular income, such as myself, I got no help in trying to save my unit. It was over priced, but the only thing available to me at the time. They weren’t willing to take payments on my balance. Only wanted full payment which I simply wasn’t able to do, due to lesser hours being worked. My unit was sold because I just couldn’t afford to pay the balance. So I had to let family heirlooms go. Very saddened and unhappy with my experience. This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. The man who processed my transaction Sunday morning was shockingly rude. He seemed to have no idea what he was doing and got bitey with me when I asked questions about my rental agreement. I reserved a unit online and he told me it didn't exist, even when I offered to show him a screenshot of the confirmation page. He instead tried to get me to buy a much larger one (at over 50% of the cost of what I'd ordered) without mentioning that another, only slightly larger, one (just $5 more) was available. I had to specifically ask if this was the case and only then did he conveniently find a comparable alternative in the system after I stood at the counter waiting for at least 15 minutes. When I told him I was having trouble getting the green zip tie off the door and asked if he had a pair of scissors I could borrow, he laughed at me, rolled his eyes, and smugly told me I needed to use my hands.
