JOHN EDo away with having to disturb and or disrupt persons you have call to verify about renting a vehicle. Makes no sense at all and is an inconvenience. You have state issued drivers license and valid credit card with your name on it. Get rid of that stupid policy
KENNETH BJennifer was terrific. We did have some trouble finding the office. It isn't really on Louisiana or Smith, but it would have been easier to locate from Smith. It's across the street from Spec's and fronts onto a side street.

MICHAEL PThe vehicle was not maintained properly it look like have misfire at speed 40 mph and its annoying while driving and need to check the spark plugs.
MOHAMMED AThe customer service agent was extremely Rude! Wow! I was startled at how he spoke to customers. Abrupt, harsh, no care and definitely no service. I felt extremely uncomfortable for the customer in front of me. The customer asked questions about returning a hand truck and ge told him no, it must be this location, do you want to rent it or not? Customer said he couldn't return to This location and agent, said sorry, have a nice day! I believe his name is Christopher, he wore glasses. He was very short with me and no personality or pleasant interaction throughout my transaction at all. I know Uhaul is privately owned but a secret shopper should visit this local. Sheesh!

Because of her actions, I had to drop off the truck earlier than anticipated. When I arrived, she was on her personal cellphone with someone. She then tried to get another staff member to service me. She was very unprofessional. I won’t be back.

Cesare FI have used this location for about 4 years now. I prefer this Midtown location and will I drive past 2 others to get here. Jennifer and Jessica are both amazing at providing the best in customer service. They are professional and consistent in their service standards and getting the details right. It’s always laughs and smiles when I see them but it’s also business and courtesy and I appreciate supporting a business that supports me. I think it’s important for companies like U-Haul to recognize excellence and supporting their team members with recognition but also financially with bonuses and anything they need to continue to be a success.
SHAWN KStaff at front desk that waited on me need retraining on customer service not very pleasant or helpful I felt as if I was bothering her from the time I walked in.

PAMELA BThe rented vehicle needs to be brought to the front leasing site, so customers don’t have to go “hunting” for it, and getting lost and/or wasting precious time. That was NOT a good experience for me.
FRANK RI moved out because the door to access my unit was broken for two months at least never fixed anyone can get in if they wanted too then the gate to access the property was broken for a few days so I had to move out other then that I didn’t have a issue there
Branden M | Overall ExperienceI had an incredibly difficult time getting out of the facility due to how close my van was parked to the yellow pole and how close a second van was parked behind me. Then I had a difficult time getting out of the gate. But what really infuriates me is that we booked the van so we could move our things from our POD parked in the welcome center of the apartment complex across the street from the U-Haul location to our apartment on the other end of the same city block. We literally only drove around that city block twice and then straight back to the U-Haul location. Literally less than a mile. But we were charged for 11 miles. And 7 gallons of gas. And I’m just too exhausted from the move and not sure I have the right proof to fight it. I shouldn’t have to. Moving is a nightmare. I needed U-Haul to do right by me. So, enjoy the money you made off this rental. That’s the last you will ever get from me.

Jeffrey CI requested an appliance dolly and it wasn't available when I got to the store. The guy at the counter told us it's not guaranteed. I was about to get charged for it too but we asked before we swiped our card. The place seems understaffed. The lady taking care of our order was answering calls while taking care of us and missed this and a few other details. To improve, make sure you have surplus dollys on hand or don't offer them in the website. Buying them is expensive.

Olga FThere were several low tires on the truck. No one seemed concerned. I wasn't super happy with the truck only having a quarter tank of gas, but I understand that business decision. It meant that I had to stop for gas before using the truck for what I needed.
Brian Kstorage would benefit to have more carts (at least 2-3 per door). The truck return is blocking the main gate a lot of the time. would be better to have a different location for this.

I was having a horrible day from the movers canceled at the last minute I arrive at me new residence to find out my place wasn’t ready. I rented a truck I couldn’t use I was in a bad spot. I walked into the the U-Haul on Midtown and the whole staff was friendly. Jennifer helped me get my unit and was so patient with me although I was being a pain in the butt seeing how my day was going. Jennifer made my day . She was very professional and made a difference in my day in a positive way. Thank you

Renee B | Overall ExperienceThis place is filled with homeless transients, drugs addicted and shady looking characters living on the storage facility and sleeping and using the restroom in the hallways… My unit was broken into and I had multiple highs end luxury purses, shoes and clothes and electronics stolen from my unit . I have been on the east coast since 1/1/2023 my first time to my unit I’ve been robbed irreplaceable valuables and property. I need my laptop for work and can’t work without it! Absurd…. This place is trash. The young lady that helped get the unit was very helpful, kind polite and professional. She was great but the actual facility should be avoided!!!

I have rented there several times over the years and they have always been good, but the current team with Manager Jennifer and Regional Manager Rudy are exceptional. They went beyond expectations to be helpful and accommodating recently when I was having some problems getting my units emptied on time. Really kind people, all of them! I cannot recommend them and this facility highly enough.The best.

Where Augustine is a rockstar, he was so helpful with planning and getting us the unit, to helping with rerouting our truck because it was late for arrival there, to making sure that everything we needed was on-hand. Then the second location where we actually picked up the truck, 1617 San Jacinto where the staff was courteous, friendly, and just over the top amazing to us. And Dalila in Baytown at the North Main location who guided us to both of the stores and set up the entire process for us. That young lady is our hero of the move. I have written a 5 star review on Google for the 2420 Louisiana St location, which if there were more stars to give, I would.
