The UHaul representative Eric was very rude and had the worse customer service I have ever experienced. Not to mention we booked a caravan to arrive and it not be available. I willl be discouraging everyone I know from using uhaul after this experience.

This is an exemplary U-Haul store! I was having a real bad day trying to rent a truck and I kept getting sent all over the city searching to find the right one . Eric was super-nice and went out of his way to help me get the truck I needed and get on the road quickly. I can't say enough good things about this young man and his positive attitude. I thought the service at this location was excellent. My only stumbling point was that I was told to enter the U-Haul website after I returned the truck to notify the company that the truck was back at the U-Haul lot. I could not find on the website where I was supposed to do this, but ended up on chat support who also did not know where this was on the website. No problem at the end, however, and I am very satisfied with the truck and the service center.

Your location to enter and exit are very, very, tight for driving your trucks one would think that it was set up so the customer would have an accident.

I was originally scheduled to pick my rental up from Shine Autospa Midtown on Almeda. The location was closed when I arrived and there was not a single truck on site. My reservation was for 2 p.m. and I was paying movers beginning at 2:30 p.m. — I live less than three miles from the location. I called Uhaul customer service immediately and was TWICE transferred to the location, which I had already made clear was closed and that they were not answering the phone, and disconnected as a result. When I finally reached someone willing to help me find another truck, he couldn't get in contact with the location and essentially told me to go over there and ask, with no guarantees of leaving with a rental. Finally, the staff at the Louisiana location were extremely rude, and my move was delayed by an hour and a half as a result of this shoddy service — which essentially leaves it up to customers to fix the company's mess. "Guaranteed rental" means nothing to this company.

The check-in process online is terrible. I found the truck the application instructed me to and went inside to ask for the key as indicated. The guy that assisted me told me that there was a code I would be given to gain access to the keys. I explained there was no code and that the app was asking me to get the key from him. I had to ask him to turn around and look for the key on the wall and low and behold it was there. He then said he couldn’t send that one out. BS – he had me go back through the app and he assigned another vehicle. That was fine. He then instructed me to go to the truck and he would open the gate for me and when I pulled out to honk and he would open it. I go outside into the rain to enter the gate that he never opened. I had to go back inside to ask which gate he planned to open. Someone else opened another gate that was not even on the side where the trucks were parked. I walked through the rain around the building. As I check the truck out and pull up to the gate and horn, he didn’t open the gate for a good 8 – 9 minutes. I realize this could have gone a whole lot better. The online check-in process is supposed to be quick and convenient yet you still have to interact with folks who are just standing around. I feel he didn’t want to help me only because I asked him to see if the key in question was on the wall behind him and he retaliated by making the process more difficult than it needed to be just because I was right about the key.
