I specifically called and messaged to make sure the trailer had a ramp (for help with moving a heavy piano). Despite verbal reassurance, it did not. The staff member who hitched up the trailer did not get the tongue completely over the ball so it came off when we were leaving the lot and had to reconnect ourselves.

The trailer I rented had a tire which was severely under inflated. (less then 20 psi) The tire max is 65 psi. This detail went unnoticed by the attendant at the UHAUL facility before I was given the go ahead to leave. I drove to a nearby gas station and fortunately, I did a walk around before I hit the highway. The trailer had two tires on each side so it was not readily apparent but it was squatted down. This is an important detail which SHOULD NOT BE OVERLOOKED!!! I could have had a serious accident and it would likely have been blamed on me.

Trailer I requested had flat a tire. Trailer was quickly swapped for another. New trailer was was in good condition but with some cosmetic issues and a bad marker light. Staff was very busy that day but still made time for me and was quick and efficient. Kayden was a huge help on returning equipment. Both associates made process very easy despite some technical difficulties at the beginning and the store being very busy upon pick up. Will use location again as they seem to always have what I need in stock on short notice.

The check in process for after hours is not that great. the app does not work all the time, I am a single women and all the steps you have to go through now just to return the truck, makes me a little uneasy. being in a parking lot at night with no one around. and the fact that I now get charge extra to return a truck after hours is crazy. I have rented uhauls for years, and loved them, but and now i am thinking i will try a different diferent company

The associates at this location could not find my intended drop off location in Yankton, SD on my reservation and showed I was to drop off in Council Bluffs, IA. They pulled up a map of Yankton, SD and insisted there were no drop off locations there. (Obvously there are). Not sure why, it just took an extra 15-20 minutes or so to check out and we were in a hurry. No big deal FYI only

This location was very well organized and efficient! I want to call out special attention to the associate I dropped the vehicle off to. I inadvertently left a critical set of personal keys in one of the cup holders. He not only tried calling me three times, he also called the back-up number I left. I made it back to the center before closing and he had my keys waiting for me inside behind the counter. I greatly appreciate his conscientiousness!!

When i was returning the trailer, the 3 guys in the office offered NO assistance AT ALL. Go parking over there. It's pretty heavy to get off the hitch and not a single employee got off their ass to help. Worthless. The equipment was great, clean, in great condition.

Ricardo and his staff are exceptional. Not only are they professional, but very courteous and friendly. Not only have I rented trucks from this location, but I have had storage units there for many years. The facility is spotless. The cleaning staff does a terrific job. Serviceman was not very helpful. When I came to pick up it was like I was to much work.. and when I came back to drop off a day early they said just drop it where I picked it up.. but there were no spots available.. so I had to go in and then someone came out.. also I did not get the credit on my Reciept for brining it back one day earlier. So then I had to call in to get it corrected. whoever corrected it charge me again..so I had to call back again

When I checked out the truck it asked if it was clean. Yes it was. It did not ask if it was maintained well. The visor on the driver side was broken and would fall as I drove. The cigarette/charger cover was missing. Window handle kept popping off. Back box had some screws in it that scratched my tubs. Steering wheel is deteriorating and would leave stuff on my hands. Front bumper has a crack in it but it looks like the sticker marking the spot was removed. I returned the truck 18 hours before but didn’t get a refund for returning it early.

No A/C in the truck I rented which is necessary in August in Nebraska. The transmission was going out and was not downshifting or upshifting correctly. The rental experience was awful as I recently moved to Nebraska and got a new drivers license which is a piece of paper without bar codes and your system is not equipped to use that. The young man who was processing my transaction wouldn't help or get the manager to come in and help. No one was there when I dropped off at 1:00 to come out an inspect.

I was able to get a 10x10, which is...fine, but I don't understand why there is a reservation process if no unit is actually reserved. The GM Ricardo at the Stonybrook location is very professional and good at his job. Also, the team at 72 are all very good workers and knows what it takes to get the job done. Doing the online application and rental agreement it tells you to enter your homeowners insurance policy information, but doesn’t give you anywhere to upload it. Another insurance complex is U-Haul offers renters insurance for $150 a month and that covers up to $25,000. Then the last paragraph of the contract it states “ storing anything(s) worth more than $15,000 is prohibited”. Not allowed. Either way I’m covered under my personal homeowner policy, it would better if that was more clear and easier to upload homeowner policy info as I’m sure it’s not always black and white if you need to make a claim. I never went inside, my unit is outside. It was clean, ready, and I like the setup and feel comfortable leaving my things there, at least up to $15,000. Thanks.

The guy behind the counter clear hates his job and people and does not care at all about helping anyone. He just stared at me as I asked a question. It took me asking 3 more questions for him to say he didn’t know how to do that and he’d get someone. He said the same thing to the person in line behind me. He didn’t seem like he cared at all about learning his job.If it wasn’t for the woman that came out of the office I wouldn’t have stayed or rented from this place I’m not sure why they’re keeping this guy around.

I’m not sure why the circular lock was required. I hate the lock that we bought from you, but eventually I figured out how to work it. Other than that, I loved everything about this experience. It couldn’t have been more convenient and safe.

Our experience with this UHaul location (and the location in Midlothian, TX where we moved from) was great! We used Uboxes to facilitate our move. The procedures and expectations were clearly explained and the staff were both friendly and helpful. I will use Uhaul in the future. I would suggest revamping your software (get input from your staff) because there were a few clunky moments due to some inconsistencies in how the software behaved. It didn't cause huge problems but could have. Fortunately, your staff are really smart and got it fiugred out!

The staff at the front were so nice. Especially the gal with the green hair! Loved her. She was quirky and fun! This was my first time ever doing this and I was able to complete everything successfully with all the team's help and making me feel confident about what I was doing. The carts in the move in area were so nice and pulling the truck in the garage was helpful!! It was an amazing experience. I just wish there were trash cans around lol :) we had some stuff to throw away from dinner and couldn't find any in there! Other than that, it was great!!! I am thankful for the 1 month free storage we are getting, too!

This location is well maintained and customer service is above average. The climate controlled storage and pull up enclosed parking to load or unload is a real plus and overall availability of trucks and trailers and equipment is above average.

Good location and good customer service. Staff member assisting with reservation was patient, prompt, and professional. She offered additional services and products for my move-in, provided needed information for access and was respectful of my time by getting me in and out in a timely fashion. Only inconvenience is that 24-Hour access requires manager approval and access to manager may not be possible at the time of move-in.

I’ve rented Uhaul trucks for several years now to pick up Girl Scout Cookies at the beginning of cookie season, this is the first year we took advantage of using a storage unit. I want to thank the cleaning lady, all my parents were very surprised on how clean the building was, she does a great job. It was very easy to get into the building for us to load and unload cookies into our unit, we liked having access to the carts and being inside out of the cold weather. After talking to other leaders and parents, we’ve all agreed to use Uhaul again next year during cookie season. Fingers crossed we can have the same unit. I also want to thank all the employees we encountered, they were all very helpful and always let us know they were locking the sliding door. Thank you for making our experience so easy.

I thought i had completed my online reservation but when i had called on sunday to find out if theyd stay open til i got there and if she had my reservation (i found out at 435p they close at 5 and I was coming from Benson, my movers were late or we'd have been there by 430), the rep said she didn't have my reservation. She said she could get me the unit I was looking for but it had to be in person. I RUSHED to get there and missed by 2 minutes. When I got a 2nd arrangement for the movers to help on Monday, things settled and I tried again Sun night to reserve a unit online, it fully completed for a 10' by 10'. I got a text giving me 2 unit numbers and an access code. Why couldn't the representative have done it over the phone?? I had to pay movers again to help in the morning, I had to buy a lock for the truck overnight, i had to have my aunt drive back to Omaha again to help me return the truck to Maple st after the movers finished the Monday, and pay for the additional day with the truck. Not fun, but worse when ya have a 4 and 5 yr old with you too. Plus, when I scoped out the unit numbers to see why it gave me two, it was giving me two 5' units which was not what i requested. So when we got there Monday I had to talk to the front desk so he could correct it. The proper unit was available so why did it give me two wrong ones? Even if i had completed the online reservation for Sunday, we would have gotten there and not had the correct size unit , even though the lady working that day said there was one available. So while it's great to be able to do it outside office hours, if you arent given the unit you want when its actually available, its not great. And again, it appears the rep couldve helped me over the phone Sunday and spared a bunch of hassle. Otherwise, the facility is clean and welcoming, plenty of carts and entrypoints.

The service was great there was no aux cord portal in the uhaul to listen to the gps loudly so you constantly have to look down at your phone and that could cause a potential accident i just wish the dash had a screen for the gps map its one thing to worry about the care and safety of the uhaul but to keep taking your eyes off the road to look down at your map this could be made easier

I moved from Colorado to Nebraska ,Made a reservation for U-Haul truck and storage. Pick up the truck on July 22 , Call on July 21 to confirm to move my stuffs in the storage between July 24 and July 25 , Customer Service say OK and on the website say it will hold my reservation for seven days but when I get there on July 25 my storages reservation was all been canceled.

I was upset to learn that the size of unit I reserved online was not available when I came in on the correct day to retrieve it. It is not fair to tell a customer that they will have a 10x15 unit, and then day of it not be available and have to combine other units to get the same square footage. When I reserved it online, I expected it to be available. The attendant was not very empathetic, and blamed corporate that they don’t check if it’s available. He said it’s only square footage they could guarantee, not the exact unit. It felt like this happens frequently. I feel like that is a poor business model, what is reserved should be what is gotten. I was in immediate need of the unit that day as I needed to be out of my house and had all my family lined up to help, so I had no choice but to move forward. If I had more time, I would have taken my business elsewhere. Very unprofessional and with low integrity.

The worst experience I have ever had. We are brand new to this state and never done a Uhaul storage before and I would never do it again especially at this location. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE customer service and the personnel was so beyond rude. At one point the worker (Mr. Large and in charge) picked up the phone and pressed 3 buttons and faked that he called a different Uhaul location for us. We ended up not using this location and losing out on our free month of storage and spending $250 on a different storage unit. So disgusted with this place!!!

Staff was helpful but rushed, didn't do facility tour as mentioned, had to go back to ask for a second card which was mentioned but not provided, and agent didn't inform us about the different types of locks available for purchase. We paid using a prepaid card, and the transaction had to be canceled out to switch to a different lock...which has now tied up funds waiting on that to be refunded

The customer service at this location is excellent! We have recently rented a truck and just finished up with 2 storage units. I had reserved with another company, showed up at the other storage location, during business hours, and couldn't get in. It was 3 pm, the office door was locked with a sign that said retuning at 9:30. Made several calls, went to voice mail every time. I was making a long distance move, drive most if the night and the very last thing I needed was the other storage company to be a no show during their own business hours. The moving crew showed up at 4 (found via uhaul, btw) and I called Uhaul. Got a live person, made the reservation, and high tailed it over to Uhaul. Got the unit and everything unloaded in less than 2 hours. Bonus points, was also able to change the drop off location of the truck at no additional charge. On move-in and drop off, great service all round!

Switched storage units to a new company that is $45 less than yours for the same size and features. Its 6 blocks away so the same area. They also offer free first month and free moving truck. Consider lowering prices to get more business

Also, I felt as though other matters were more important than finishing my checking process - he was more concerned about helping another employee who was on the phone with a customer looking for mattress covers- he then got side tracked talking to a different employee about something out back. I wish I knew the names of all the people involved, but the manager and the two front desk women at the Stony Brook U-Haul have been outstanding. Helpful, considerate and very easy to work with. I will need another storage facility this late summer, and I will definitely use the U-Haul facility at Stony Brook in Omaha again

Correction to Previous Review: I was mistaken in previously stating that 24 Hour Access was not available at this location. It is for an very reasonable monthly fee. I have always experienced exceptional and professional customer service, equipment rental, and moving supplies at this location. Great staff and the management has always been helpful and available to address any concerns, questions, or modifications when needed and their time and efforts are greatly appreciated.
