Did the 24/7 pick up thing. The key was in the wrong lock. Luckily it was during work hours though.

I was a unimpressed with the initial front-desk time it took to get the trailer picked up. It took almost a full hour from the time we entered the store to the time we were able to depart with the trailer. There seemed to be some system problems ahead of me getting to talk to the desk person. My experience at other UHaul stores has been excellent. But this store seems to be having growing pains.

I walked into the store at 4868 South 135th street Omaha NE (not the one listed above) to return the appliance cart I rented yesterday. there were two people at the counter one was a younger 19/20-year-old male and the other was an older man. the older man was obviously busy. when I walked up to the counter the younger man did not look up from his phone or acknowledge I was standing there. I said I was there to do a return he still did not acknowledge me he continued to look at his phone. Finally, the busy older man said I can take care of you. which he did do and was very nice. the younger man continued to drink his soda and look at his phone. After the older man took care of my return I asked who the manager was. He said he was. I told him while the young man was sitting right there that the young man was very rude by not even acknowledging a customer standing right in front of him. the young man then said "he was here to do it" indicating to the older man, then went back to looking at his phone. The older man apologized several times for the young man's actions. I am assuming that this young man is being paid if sitting at the counter to wait on customers and you are not paying him to snap chat. This location was 14 miles further from where our reservation request was confirmed. We were not notified of this until a couple of hours before pickup. Therefore, we were charged for the extra mileage, and incurred the cost of additional gasoline and time. Because the office closed earlier than posted business hours that day, we had to return via U-Haul app online. Since we did not have a cell phone listed on our contract, we had to call customer service as the app was not letting us return the unit. This added an additional hour to rectify. We had to move out of our flooded home very quickly and all these inconveniences added additional stress to a very difficult day. Customer service representatives were pleasant and accommodating in finding a truck for us and getting it returned, but I would have liked to have the truck available at the confirmed location, since our storage unit was at that location nearer our home. I would have liked, also, not to have been charged for that discrepancy.

The general manager is great !! The guy I dealed with last night was very poor customer service I told him I need a trailer with swing door not a roller. I told him the unit number that I was in a row to help him so he would not have to walk out and find it. So we signed up and I went to pick up the trailer. I went out to the one I told him with the unit number and he Said no your not in that one. I asked why are you giving me a roll up door one when I asked for this other one. And he could not answer me and told me it was a intown unit. When I know that is a lie when it had out of town plates. I just don’t like to be lied to and if you could not Accommodate me from the start please be upfront about it

The manager did not want to unstrap my car from the trailer. He said Ihad to do it and I told him that when I picked it up they strapped it down for me. I ended up paying him $20 to unstrapp my car. Seems wrong!

No one was at the location when I went to pick-up. The worker came zipping over from acros the parking lot on a motorized cart. The truck inside windshield was filthy which made seeing through the rain at night near impossible. When returning again no one around and the store was wide open. I stood in the rain trying to figure out what to do, so I put the key in the drop box.
