Great customer service!!
MIGUEL MMake sure the vehicle has proper preventive maintenance. Reservation was at 9:30 a.m., didn’t get the truck until 10:45. Communication between Uhaul, tow truck company, and tow truck driver needs vast improvement. I had a deadline to finish a project and was a complete waste of time. Took 5.5 hours to tow the truck.

RAMON PWe received the truck with 1/4 tank of gas. We understand that means we return it with a 1/4 tank of gas BUT when time is of the essence upon pick-up, there should be more gas than that. Otherwise, all was well.

They had recommendations that were very helpful. Despite the difficulties, they were able to get everyone rented with the right equipment in a timely fashion. They were able to keep the unhappy customers calm and respectful of the situation.

SILVERIO NYour cleaning products made my heart rate slow down I had breathing difficulties I got very weak and wanted to pass out because of strong smell from whatever cleaning product your cleaning guy sprayed inside my rental truck when I got it I smelled it admittedly but I thought it will air out no the smell did not air out it got worse which gave me all these scary body issues I was fighting my breathing, which I have a witness because he started experiencing body issues as well. Your cleaning man when I brought the truck back was claiming how he has the sniffles but I told him its probably all that cleaning sprays your spraying in these rented trucks he. He says no I've been dealing with these for sometime, he is so sick that he doesn't even know his body has developed issues from all the chemicals he has been spraying that is messing with the customers as well. I Can't say that I would recommend your company due to what has happened to me and my husband which was very scary for me and If someone doesn't read my survey or review you've asked me to do and refund me something. Your business might not last. Chemicals are dangerous. I hope it wasn't done intentionally as the cleaning man that checked in my rental truck when I returned the truck, said some weird stuff when I came out of your bathroom he mumbled something as he was entering into the bathroom after me. If you refund me I will definitely recommend your company and others will know that you care for your customers and their health safeties and less gain for profit for your business.

ANITA GI reserved a utility dolly on the app with my truck. The night before pick up, the U-Haul agent called to inform me that a utility dolly was not available and that I had to pay extra for the appliance dolly that was available. When I got the truck, there was an appliance dolly AND a utility dolly and I couldn't use the appliance dolly because it was too big, and I'm a small person. I was charged for both. The truck had less that 1/4 tank of gas on pick up and the engine sounded like it was going to explode while accelerating during any city driving under 40 miles per hour. It was honestly the worst U-Haul experience I have ever had, and I have never had an issue with renting from U-Haul before. It might just be this location, but I feel that I was overcharged for a second dolly that I did not ask for and put $150 worth of gas into the tank that I was not reimbursed for. I will try Penske next time.

DEANDRE HWhere do I begin? I had to go in and check in to have my check-in completed and then I had to find someone to disable my park cause I had an outside unit that’s after I finally found it. There was several units next to mine, which did not have a puck when I was done. I had to find parking yet again to go inside to check out that’s after I had an issue that was just cleared up, but initially was met with much confusion as I was told I could not get a free month of rental after I rented a truck and I was not very impressed. I found it hard to park hard to get in the hours could’ve been a little better apparently I wasn’t in a good area so I couldn’t leave my car there so I had to get an Uber. It was a small nightmare. The people are mostly friendly and nice, but the rules are regulations I was drowned in not a great experience. I’m done with it thank God.

Another fucking employee that checked my rental back in when I dropped off the rental was rude as fuck. I asked to confirm with him if it was okay that I left the vehicle next to the vehicle drop off sign post and he said “yeah you dont see the sign?”. Fuck this location.

Sean GI especially appreciate the extra assistance at returning the trailer. I had stopped at a Goodwill donation center nearby at the completion of all of my moving, intending them to turn the trailer in, but Goodwill did not take some bookcase set ups as they said they would on the phone. Your neighborhood help section for items like this kept me from having to drive 25 miles at night and then come back early in the morning just to return the trailer instead of returning it early as planned. It greatly alleviated stress and physical exhaustion. Thanks so much!

THOMAS OMy only complaint was that there was no clear direction on where to go to return. After parking in the wrong area, I was directed to park elsewhere. From there I got out walked into the store only to be told that he just sent his employee out to finalize returns. When I got back outside the guy that gave me better directions on where to go for the return also processed it. He was friendly. And honestly I’m happy I got him because prior to going to this location - I went to 2 different locations trying to return only to find out that the specific location that I chose didn’t take back the trailer I had. Big inconvenience!

I was there for almost 15 years the GM when I first got the unit was amazing. But new ownership or change over wasn’t accommodating. Also the rent increase every year was upsetting, for as long as I was there and paying on time month to month I should’ve been grandfathered in or allowed after hour access.

Ryan G | First ImpressionsIn August 2018 when i first got the storage room no problem payment on time even doing covid pay my bill on time in 2021 that's when it started to get crazy didn't want my niece to hav access to the storage room she been on my list of proof authorization to go in there and they still wouldn't let her go in there at the beginning I told them I get my disability money on the 3rd of every month and I can come in on the 4th of every month and pay it no problem from August excuse me September 2018 come forward all of a sudden when my niece started paying the bill that's when problems started happening U-Haul went back on their word but it's good she said she took everything out and closed account so I don't have to worry about helping her pay the bill no more and whenever use U-Haul ever again I'll find another company if I ever need a service like that ever again and I wish I can give you a bad rating

I had to wait until next day to unload and then was given a smaller unit than what I had reserved.Also had to buy an "Approved" Lock and told to take off the lock I had placed on my unit. Why can I not keep my stuff secure with the lock of my choosing instead of the generic, overpriced lock that they sell. Absolutely unacceptable. When I moved out everything was running smoothly until I parked the truck to grab some Lunch. Came back and the truck didn't turnover at all.i had driven that truck no more than 1.mile from the Storage facility. Waited 4 hours in that parking lot for a tow truck. Had to be towed to my address and unloaded a day later without the help I had the day before. I will personally never use U-Haul services again. A person can only take so many screwups by other people.

Later that evening I encountered a gentleman outside who was in charge of locking up the units and he was very kind and gave me a lot of information as well as showed me where my unit was although it was closing time. I returned on the 3rd and both ladies working in the front office were amazing. They assisted me and answered all my questions their interactions with other customers were also welcoming and friendly!

It has an “alarm” but doesn’t help cause I wasn’t notified immediately, I’m sure if the alarm worked, mgmt would have been notified and then they should have contacted us. I was told “I was going to call you to let you know during my rounds I noticed your lock was gone,” this was after we discovered it was broken into. Even tho’ the staff is friendly, doesn’t make up for the lack of security (considering the city we live in) and notification. For the price I paid a month, they could do better!

The back area and they allowed homeless people allow walking yhru so a lot of pass time entered in and out on the UHaul property. STILL the FENC E i is And it’s OPEN for ENTERTRANCE ! POOR UHAUL People are Pitiful thoughtless towards their Customers ! The Have Done wrong too US !

josie c | Overall ExperienceIt didn’t seem very secure, you could enter the building without a key card since the door was always unlocked. I never saw any security or employee around. As far as cleanliness, there were always spiders and spiderwebs in my unit. It seemed like they never fumigated.

We had to pay a bit extra for a 10 by 15, which wasn't ideal, but was still a good unit. I would recommend uhaul for storage simply on the basis of security.

The staff specifically ridiculed my fiancé’s payment method during a national pandemic while the storage manager giggled beside her. My fiancé called the corporate number and filed a report but nothing ever became of it and there was no follow up. Afterwards, we still received harassing phone calls from unprofessional staff. I will never deal with this company again after how my fiancé and I were treated. I’d rather lose all my items in storage, than deal with unprofessional staff, uncaring management, & bad business practices. This behavior for a business can never be acceptable and I will advise anyone who will listen against using your company.

And I told the lady at the counter my husband gave the keys along with the keys to the truck we rented. Why didn’t she tell me at that point that the keys and lock were mine?

However, the new location for pick up was closed also. I drove from San Diego to Redlands only to know that my truck was not prepared and have to stay overnight for next day pick up. Totally disappointed with the service and the waste of time.
