My rental experience was nerve wracking yet the problems did not arise from the local crew and seemed to revolve around the corporate side of things. Sean, Jeff, and Brett at the pickup location were amazing. Jeff was very helpful booking my reservation. Brett and Sean handled the last minute scheduling issues well and helped me get what I needed. Also the two employees at the drop off location were excellent. However, I never received a call from scheduling before 6pm. When I called at 7pm to confirm my reservation I got passed from person to person. After an hour I finally had one representative tell me that though my account was flagged my reservation was confirmed. Went to pick up the equipment and the auto transport was not available. Sean did a wonderful job figuring out a solution for me and found an auto transport close by for me to go pick up. The auto transport latch system was rusted and one of the tire straps actually came off one of the tires during transport. Thankfully no major incident occurred, but feel as though corporate could have done a better job. The employees did their best to handle the situation.Sarah P.

The truck's check engine light and traction control light came on. It said â€œreduced engine powerâ€, â€œservice stabilitrakâ€, and â€œservice traction controlâ€. I had to call roadside assistance to get the truck towed from my house. Then I got charged like $40 for gas that I was not able to replace because of the engine codes. Upon telling the local staff what happened, they informed me that the truck I was allowed to use had RECENTLY done this same thing and they still let me go with it. Very unsafe. Overall the truck handled poorly the whole time I drove it and I got overcharged. I'm currently expecting a full refund from the manager at my local uhaul location. I guess we will see if they keep their word to me. Uhaul, get your routine maintenance. Take care of your vehicles. Oil changes do not equate to perfectly running trucks. Everyone was excellent when I rented a truck, however when I returned it, it was a different story. The price was higher than quoted and I was charged for 2 gallons of fuel. The next day when I questioned the reason, no one had an answer and was rude. I only had the truck about 5 hours and the guy checked it out when I got back. The fuel gauge had more than required.. Then had a pending charge of about $17 that disappeared when I called and complained. Everything seemed shady and will not be using U-haul again. I was overcharged $50. The day I rented the storage unit, I stated I only needed the unit through August 24. I was charged for the unit through September 28. When I looked at the bill, I asked why I was charged $150 when it should have only cost me $100. I was assured I was misunderstanding my bill. I went to a Uhaul on Country Club Road that I had a reservation with. I looked at my confirmation text as they didn't have a reservation. The reservations said to pick-up on Shawnee. The girl said that happens all the time, sometimes you have to pick up at a different location. I questioned it at least 3 more times because I knew the owners were different at the locations. She assured me to go to the other location. I waited in line over 20 minutes. They did not have a reservation for me. It was concluded that someone altered my reservation & gave it to someone else. I did receive an email about that persons reservation with a card number that was not mine. If this wasn't bad enough, the truck I did finally get reaked of marijuana!!! I paid 3 employees who had to work an extra 2 hours overtime to load the truck after this mistake cost me a lot of extra unplanned time. I then had to go to my sons high school football game & was so embarrassed to smell of weed.Beau S.

The reason I gave an average rating was because calling the store was not always answered by store personnel (Probably because they were busy and set the phone to be answered by the call center). I asked if they had a waiting list I could be placed on. Answer was "no", so I had to go in every couple of days to inquire if a storage unit (5 X 10) was available. Persistence paid off. The first truck broke down before we got out of town. The paperwork is to much trouble to do by computer or phone. You aren't really told anything from the rental, so on returning the truck, all we had to was time consuming. Didn't like that at all.Roy B.

Overall using the u-box containers was great. It was easy and the price was good. But getting in contact with someone from Uhaul was awful. Most times I had to wait on hold for 40 minutes to reach someone. I called muskogee several times only to be routed to the main uhaul number. I travelled down there and the clerk didn't seem to know anything and gave me the cellphone number of her boss who never picked up or returned my call.Jaylen G.

My uhaul experience began with B and B small engine site I. Tulsa. I booked 3 weeks in advance to ensure no problems. The evening before rental time, I received a voice mail stating the truck would not be available until 9 rather than 0830. I returned the call a short time later and was told my reservation was canceled. After some discussion, I was assured the truck would be available. That was fine until there was no truck at 9 or 10. My son was redirected to the muskogee site and was able to get a truck...thankfully. it took a fair amount more time for the move as the help available that morning was not available in the afternoon. My car transport that was promised to me at the Muskogee location, after my reservation was moved there from Broken Arrow, was not there when I came to pick it up. I was told my reservation was in Tulsa but they also didn't have a transport available. They then made me drive 20 miles to Wagoner to pick up another trailer but when I got there there was no one at the location. After being on hold for 20 mins I was told by someone to hook the trailer up myself only to find out when I got back to the Muskogee location that it was ILLEGAL to hook up your own U-Haul trailer in Oklahoma. Also the trailer was not dispatched to me like the last on the phone said so I was driving with a illegally hooked up stolen trailer. You guys made several promises to me and broke them all. Not to mention how much my money and time you wasted making me drive all over to fix your poor planning.Dylan F.

At your Muskogee, OK location, Sean your employee was amazing at helping us. Upon our arrival Sean stated he had no toes available at his location and he would double check what he said to be sure nothing had change. Well, nothing change so he reserve us for one at FT.Gibson,OK location. Upon arrival it was 8:54a.m. we waited until 9:20 to 9:30 somewhere between that time before calling customer service because nobody was on site.so about 9:30 I called Sean at your Muskogee OK Location, he immediately got on the phone to contact supervisors for us after speaking to him customer service finally picked up their busy line. About time she got a hold of supervisors in this area for FT.Gibson she explained to me that someone was already on my case and provided me with a number to call supervisor if I need to get a hold of someone, shortly after customer service conversation (she was amazing too cant recall name) Sean called back told me to come back to Muskogee Location he will set us up for the inconvenience. He had a tow get returned withing in that time from of us waiting at FT.Gibson location. Sean definitely need a raise for what he has to endure and how well he handle his customers no matter the situation.
