I initially reserved some other location called "fair food " at North Vancouver. The location was closed and even though I checked in, it asked to use app to get the truck. The experience with that was awful. Spend almost an hour and no success. Eventually I changed the location to main street and the experience was perfect. It was quick and people were friendly. I strongly suggest you to review to pick up process, there seems a lot to improve

The only problem with the location is street parking ... but that's not really U-Haul's fault, as it's a very busy location with a nearby mall and other services. Check-out and check-in staff were very good.

Rental service was fine, but the after hours self serve mobile return app was not working properly. Called the 800 number to finalize the return. Also had a mystery $5 cleaning fee applied to my 4 hour motorcycle trailer rental even though the trailer was returned in the exact same clean condition in which I picked it up.

The person receiving the rental returns told me that there was no refund for the extra fuel that I loaded on the vehicle, it should be paid back to the costumer, The handles were still with traces of dirt/mud, seems like they didn't clean it prior to renting, which make a covid19 hazard.

The old trucks gas tank takes 10 minutes to give an accurate reading while filling. The result is I donated a quarter tank of gas to uhaul and I suspect this is a good revenue source for you. How sleazy to not credit customers! Sleaze outfit

Used this place twice and both times tried to Over charge. First time my quote was for 420 kms, but I was only allowed to use 150kms per day. The quote should be honoured. Today the same thing again, Plus the dirty state in the cab I had today was horribly dirty and when I said it to the young man who was working there, he did not seem to care. Incredibly unprofessional. Last June when I was in the back of the truck, one of the workers there started to drive the truck while I was in the back of it, I could have been seriously hurt.

I had an emergency to leave where I lived..I had looked for 4 hours for a rental van. I came upon Uhaul main st. They were so helpful and supportive. Immediately, I had a rental van and a locker. The person behind the desk walked me to the locker, insured I knew how to enter with the cardlock..the guys helped me understand the working of the van..I really appreciate all the support and kindness ..super people work here.

Rented a 6' x 12' trailer. Top quality trailer, good fast efficient service. Good experience. Only issue was the ramp is not 6' wide so had a problem loading ATV that was 5' 6” wide, my error didn't notice at the time of pickup. It all worked out with some creative loading. Very satisfied customer.

The manager is arrogant with respect to dealing with issues. His response to issues raised by me was "where else are you going to rent from" even though he could see I have rented from them at least 6 times in the past 12 months (vans and trailers). I am not a "once every 5 years" renter.

Trailer was booked for 10 a.m., but I had to wait 45 minutes before a cashier was available. I completed the online check in process, but it did not help save time. Dropping the trailer off was just as time consuming. Customer service was less than average. Other than that, equipment was in good shape and well priced.

I specifically ordered a cargo van because I knew it would be raining. When I went to pick it up I was told there were no cargo vans only pick up trucks. I asked why when I had reserved one specifically on the website they blamed the computer. I told them that I had items that I didn't want to get wet and that's why I Specifically reserved a cargo van. I suggested they could lend me some of their moving blankets or a tarp the woman behind the counter said I would have to buy a tarp. I pointed to a pile of moving blankets that were there and I said you could lend me two of those. The cashier rang up my charges and I noticed an extra charge on the bill. I asked what that was for and he said it was for the moving blankets. When I went to return the van I filled up with gas to the half mark. The man who looked at the van said it was one point below the half mark. I showed him the receipt from the gas that I had just bought and I said how many kilometres did I go? He wouldn't tell me how many kilometres I went he just kept saying am I using the same credit card you checked in with to charge you the $10 for the gas he repeated that over and over no matter what I said to him.

Rented the truck first thing Sunday morning - guy at the desk was rude and uninterested in the customer, and the guys working in the yard were totally unorganised. The truck got handed to me blocking the entry so I had to leave straight away without checking the back. The truck was dirty when I opened it at my location, and the trolley wasnt even secured. But the kicker is when I returned the truck - i had wiped out the inside prior to return and it was as clean as I could hand it off for a rainy vancouver day. The guy I think his name was Carlos at the yard looked at the truck and told me he would have to charge me for a cleaning fee which I kind of just accepted - but then he told me that if I gave him cash he would clean it for cheaper than me paying the fee. Now im convinced he just charged me so that he could make cash off the books. I dont know what your company policy is for paying staff cash to bypass the actual fees but it was a pretty rubish experience. I wont be rushing back here for a rental. Terrible experience from start to finish

It was a little upsetting that we showed up for our 10 am rental and had to wait over 30 mins to talk to someone, I understand covid restrictions and everything but we had an 8 hours window, it should have been set from the time we got there....we ended up being almost exactly 30 mins late bringing it back and I think we got charged for it. not a big deal but that was the only thing I was like "ehhhh" about

Putting a customer on interminable hold and never answering is consumer abuse. The person on your chat line was not even aware there are time zones in the world. She was not helpful. As I tried to wait on hold with my cellphone battery draining I could not charge the phone because neither cigarette lighter worked and their was no USB outlet. I have rented from you many times but the only reason I would come back as you seem to have a monopoly on truck rental in my area - but I will go out of my way not to use you again. It seems that your switch to web based service is part of the problem. I never had a problem in the past dealing directly with the location. You also seem to have decided that your customers are families and I was moving personal items for myself. And I felt insulted that you would ask me to post photos on your website so you could put my face on your trucks. You should be paying me for driving your truck around advertising your company. You need government regulation to protect consumers. Have you ever thought about the lost productivity you create by making people wait on hold for long periods? I tried three times to contact you and gave up every time because I didn't trust that anyone would answer. The line kept clicking as if someone was coming on the line and then I would just go back to the repetitive promotional messages.

Super staff.. online booking.. great price...one improvement could be..On using online return initiate an automatic email that the return has been acknowledged and send a final confirmation email after an employee has verified it including final charges. Great service... quick pick up with help hooking up the trailer once through the check in line up. I don't understand the express check time I spent prefilling everything out. I waited behind people who apparently didn't fill it out anything which delayed me by 20-25 minutes. I absolutely recommend an express check in line. I only made it faster for people behind me and not myself. It will encourage people to stop at wasting every else's time waiting in line because they didn't plan anything in advance.

Offer parking for customers' vehicles. I got a $80 ticket for parking in the lot ( tons of space) across the street. Why not make arrangements with the parking company and add $10 to the rental fee for parking. That way no worries.

The window handle on the driver's side was missing a knob, making it difficult to open the window. I made them aware. Otherwise my rental was clean, and all my interactions with the staff were great. I would definitely come back in the future 🙂

The booking system for uhaul was down so it took an extra 90 minutes to go through the pickup process. Not the fault of staff and they handled it well, but nonetheless it was highly frustrating and made the stressful experience of moving even worse.

We pre-checked in. We still had to wait a long time, but it was busy, so OK. The RE-check in took ages once it was our turn. Lots of waiting for the receptionist to get some needed info from the lot, I think. Once we had re-checked in at the counter and had our paper in hand, we had to stand in the rain waiting for over 20 minutes while the seemingly lone technician tested someone's hitch electrical system, coming and going from the shop. And once he as done with that, he started to help someone else who had just driven in with a return. Not cool.

I don't like to guess on how much fuel to add to have it the same . Hard to do with 5/8's of a tank when picking the truck up and filling to 5/8's just wrong !!!

The store is very well maintained, had all the latest products, and has a large fleet to choose from. The staff were friendly and professional. Renting out the vehicle took very little time. The only downside was that returning the vehicle took a half hour despite there only being one vehicle ahead of me. A quicker way to return would be nice.

Computer systems were working slowly. Could not check in by phone (crashed) had to wait 45 minutes to get the truck despite there being only one other customer. Truck smelt badly of smoke. The wait time was not the staffs fault.

I moved out because there was mouse poop all over my unit and stuff with absolutely no food or traces of food anywhere in my unit. It didn’t get into any of my stuff after inspection, but poop was everywhere. I spoke with the manager and he didn’t really have anything to say about it, very much a “what do you want me to do about it” mentality. I asked for help cleaning it up as I didn’t have proper cleaning supplies and mouse poop is really dangerous for women to clean without proper protection, and the person he sent just wiped it off with a rag onto other stuff in my unit. One blanket needed to be thrown out because it was coated too much for me to feel comfortable to get it home to wash it. One lady, who was wonderful, apologized several times for it, but the manager didn’t seem bothered. I moved my stuff out the next day because I had some very expensive books, furniture and linens that I cannot risk vermin ruining. The manager telling me that he’ll clean the floors with peppermint oil more frequently to keep them away wasn’t comforting and clearly not working.

Unit dirty and smelled strongly of mold. Access to the unit for moving in/out blocked by rental equipment and very difficult to access. Rental staff could not find my reservation so created a new one, leaving my existing one open. Rental agent seemed poorly trained and not helpful.

I had a storage space at this location for about five years. In that time my monthly rent rose by more than 20%, which seems rather steep. My biggest issue is getting access onsite with a vehicle. Beings as it is a truck rental location the lot is very congested and it became highly inconvenient to gain access to the storage entry. The people onsite are very friendly but the experience became too much of a hassle to take things in and out, which I have to do from time to time. Just my experience.

Unfortunately there were so many U-Haul trucks on the forecourt that I couldn’t park anywhere near the storage locker. The staff did everything they could to help, but the lot was too full.
