Busy small location, but things do get done. Guy outside struggled a bit to get me signed in as I had grill damage and tried to charge me for it. But once pointed out I had the insurance it was done quickly. We were told to sweep out the trailer before we returned it or we would be charged a fee. However when we got home and opened it up it was full of dirt and mud. We had to wash it out and clean it before we could put our boxes in it.JAMES M.
Do NOT use the 24/7 Truck Share-Online system. Left on hold for half hour after check-in (on time) for a 4 hour rental. Needless to say, it was a scramble to get things done in 3.5 hotel when we planned, rigidly, for 4 hours. Call centre apologized but did not offer to extend time. Just go into the store at this location. Staff was friendly and efficient. 5 stars for this location and staff, 0 stars for their corporate call centreâ€¦which is a huge failure.Jennifer F.

I rented a day van to move some stuff. The seats were covered in dog or cat hair, so I don't think they vacuum. When I brought it back, it had some leaves and stuff from the stuff I'd moved. Not tons. When I checked in the van, the attendant told me to grab a broom and sweep it. That kind of surprised me. It wasn't overly dirty, but fair enough I don't have a problem sweeping. I said â€œwhich broomâ€ and he gestured twice towards a bucket filled with brooms. He did not offer a broom to me, and as I mentioned, he gestured in the general direction of the cleaning items THEY use. I grabbed a smaller whisk broom, which (I didn't notice) was broken at the top, so it cut my finger. Not badly, but what the heck folks? That's just terrible customer service. He told me I had taken â€˜the wrong broom.â€ Sorry - I thought my paying for the truck meant I didn't have to do your job. When 8 took the broom to reception inside, the top of the handle actually broke off, exposing a razor sharp edge. I don't want anything from you, but this is certainly a customer service story I will tell me friends. The attendant actually told me â€œ it's not my fault you took the wrong broom.â€ Well, it sure is. Hand me a broom. I wanted to mention that a couple of the warning tabs on the roof of the rental van broke when I was misdirected to a marginal clearance area on a ferry (no damage to the roof) and your U-Haul location in Sidney BC provided replacements without charge - they're great.DAVID B.

A total nightmare! I needed to move from Vancouver to Calgary and rented a 20" truck and a car transport. I booked a reservation one month in advance and went to the U-Haul North Vancouver location twice to make sure there are no surprises on my moving date. I was supposed to pick up my truck and car transport on May 30, 2021, at the North Vancouver location. A few hours before my moving date U-Haul (North Vancouver) told me that they did not have any truck available for me and that I needed to pick-up the car transport in Langley instead of the North Vancouver location. Their "reservation system" is just a fraud. Don't bother making your reservation as they won't book anything until your moving date. A total nightmare. I didn't receive an apology, discount or refund of my money. What a way to treat customers!Victor B.
The problem is not the location, but the online booking software. You have a number of problems associated with online booking that force users to use the internal checkout counters, and this location is so busy they would need to double the number of staff to be efficient and effective. We went multiple times over the last 2 months to rent vehicles or get supplies associated with our move and were never able to be serviced in less than 30 minutes.Michel L.
This was my first anf last time, for sure, doing business with uhaul. Your company is the worst!! I make sure to tell all my friends and family about this and also review your company in different places so prople know how terrible uhaul is. Why do you say guaranteed reservation when it's not even a reservation? The last day they call me to pick up the truck in another city New Wesminister and then ON THE DAY of moving one hour before pick up they call me to pick up the truck in North Vancouver!!! Very rude customer service. None of them knew what was going on. Honestly terrible awful experience with uhaul!!!MOHSEN K.

Reserved a furniture dolly one wasn't available and the guys outside tried to push a upright dolly on me. They finally found a fungicide dolly. There was a bit of a wait to pickup the truck.PATRICK W.
I was charged for pads I didn't take. I checked I disagree with some of the charges in the online for and I said on the comments of return that occurred, but it still appeared on the bill. Since your company stole from me, I would not recommend it.Nathaniel S.
Experience was pretty average. I will say I was a little taken aback by one of the front desk workers being somewhat rude to her coworker. The girl helping us asked her coworker a question, and the other worker was quite snappy and condescending with her reply. I did not catch their names unfortunately.Michaela S.

We took out collision insurance and were quite distressed to discover, upon our return, that the slight scrape on the roof of the van we had rented which was not covered by the above mentioned insurance, would cost us 100 dollars out of pocket. We were substantially more appalled when we discovered that instead of the 100 as initially stated, Uhaul charged us 400 dollars instead, a few days later. This lack of transparency and professionalism will definitely ensure that we will never use this company again, nor recommend it to anyone else. We will furthermore advertise this unethical and unscrupulous behaviour on the part of the company to the wider public. Shame on you, Uhaul.JANA T.
I am good with online pickup and drop off after hours, but I never seem to get a final invoice paid receipt by email after returning it. I just assume everything was good, when I check my credit card statement later. It would nice to have paid receipt afterwards, that's all. Thanks,KEVIN L.
Well. If there was 0, I would have give you that. I reserved one way 15' truck with furniture dolly on May3rd for move on June 1st for 10:30AM. I received an email 6-ish am on June1st(moving day) that there is a 10' Truck available for 5PM 1.5 hours drive from me!!! I called and they changed it to this location for 10am (but 10'). I paid online for 10' Truck and furniture dolly for One way. When I arrived, there were no truck available. After waiting a long time, they told me there is no one-way truck and no furniture dolly. So I had to buy one! Though manager tried really hard and gave me more time and km to bring it back. Did I have any choice? It is moving day, elevator booked, movers booked ... so I accepted and paid more ... When I brought it back, they told me I owe $671. They laughed themselves and put the account on hold. Ultimately it was resolved but I remember that you are causing a lot of headache. Try to treat your customers better, you will not always have this monopoly and you will need people!Behzad B.
