There was quite a lot of pre-existing damage to my vehicle including a smashed mirror (lower right hand side) which was unusable and a hole in the floor of the truck area that had been repaired but not very well. It felt like your foot would go through it, let alone put any weight on it. And finally - please get some more fuel efficient vehicles. These trucks suck the gas badly.Craig H.

I came in near the end of the day today to drop off my trailer. I arrived before closing but there was a truck blocking my access to the yard. Once it moved I pulled into the drop off area and waited for 5 minutes. Nobody came to help me disconnect the trailer. Two staff members were busy with a difficult customer while the other didn't come out and help me. It was now 7:05 pm and I was instructed to follow the after hours drop off procedure. I had to disconnect the trailer myself and use the online drop off procedure. Not happy that I had to wait and then had to unhook the trailer myself. This Uhaul experience is the most unexpected in a negative way. Firstly, the Uhaul Manager requests me to pay a $710.11 towing fee that I never order, and I never observe the towing service. It was extortion. The towing fee bill the not bill to Uhaul or a bill to myself. It was billed to a non-related third party, except has the truck that I rented's information. Many people rent that truck from time to time. I never request a towing service or observe a towing service. A towing service during the rental period also covered under the insurance contract as well. Uhaul has its own towing service under the contract if towing required. The Uhaul store manager said he paid the towing fee to a third party, so he needed to be charged to my account. It is unreasonable. I suggest the manager. I am afraid a third party was playing the game behind the scene for the sole purpose of financial gain. The RCMP and related organizations needs to investigate this type of Economic crime that takes advantage of the business and innocent people for the sole purpose of organized crime's financial gain.Emily Y. | Overall Experience

After hours drop off; app won't accept any photos to complete the check in. Tried every which way from Sunday to attach a photo to the app to close the rental on Sunday night but app just won't do it. Called in and they can only attach a note. I initially reserved some other location called "fair food " at North Vancouver. The location was closed and even though I checked in, it asked to use app to get the truck. The experience with that was awful. Spend almost an hour and no success. Eventually I changed the location to main street and the experience was perfect. It was quick and people were friendly. The person receiving the rental returns told me that there was no refund for the extra fuel that I loaded on the vehicle, it should be paid back to the costumer, The handles were still with traces of dirt/mud, seems like they didn't clean it prior to renting, which make a covid19 hazard.Luis H.

Used this place twice and both times tried to Over charge. First time my quote was for 420 kms, but I was only allowed to use 150kms per day. The quote should be honoured. Today the same thing again, Plus the dirty state in the cab I had today was horribly dirty and when I said it to the young man who was working there, he did not seem to care. Incredibly unprofessional. Last June when I was in the back of the truck, one of the workers there started to drive the truck while I was in the back of it, I could have been seriously hurt.GARRETT C.

Rented a 6' x 12' trailer. Top quality trailer, good fast efficient service. Good experience. Only issue was the ramp is not 6' wide so had a problem loading ATV that was 5' 6â€ wide, my error didn't notice at the time of pickup. It all worked out with some creative loading. I moved out because there was mouse poop all over my unit and stuff with absolutely no food or traces of food anywhere in my unit. It didn’t get into any of my stuff after inspection, but poop was everywhere. I spoke with the manager and he didn’t really have anything to say about it, very much a “what do you want me to do about it” mentality. I asked for help cleaning it up as I didn’t have proper cleaning supplies and mouse poop is really dangerous for women to clean without proper protection, and the person he sent just wiped it off with a rag onto other stuff in my unit. One blanket needed to be thrown out because it was coated too much for me to feel comfortable to get it home to wash it. One lady, who was wonderful, apologized several times for it, but the manager didn’t seem bothered. I moved my stuff out the next day because I had some very expensive books, furniture and linens that I cannot risk vermin ruining. The manager telling me that he’ll clean the floors with peppermint oil more frequently to keep them away wasn’t comforting and clearly not working.Stephanie B. | Overall Experience

I had a storage space at this location for about five years. In that time my monthly rent rose by more than 20%, which seems rather steep. My biggest issue is getting access onsite with a vehicle. Beings as it is a truck rental location the lot is very congested and it became highly inconvenient to gain access to the storage entry.
