Staff couldnt find my reservation. Then I was given another unit which is in the furthest possible place from the elevator. The person in the unit next door was very sketchy and had clothes all over the place. It almost looked as if he lived there

After ordering the trailer we wanted, we got there and it wasn't in inventory. They gave us a suitable replacement that worked out perfectly. One of the back up lights was very dim. 1 of 3 tires was bald, they didn't have a spare tire so we all agreed we would take the trailer anyways. Expected a discount for the dim light and bald tire and the mix up.... didn't get offered one even though when I left I said a discount would be nice for the problems. Other than that it was a perfect day.

Clean the trailer if it comes back filthy externally. overall staff was awesome. Hook up was easy. I would like to be able reserve online and skip the office in its entirety. Just show a code to the attendant in the lot and hook up and go.

Had a very hard time contacting the office to check out and the online checkout didn’t work, so my checkout got processed late. Tried to contact multiple times to find out if I needed to check out before a certain date to not get charged for the following month or if they would prorate. Got charged an extra month because I never got an answer and when I finally went to get my stuff out the elevator was broken. Asked for a money back on for this month as I am moved out was told someone would get back to me and still have yet to hear anything. Terrible customer service, yet this would be very to rectify. Will not be recommending to anyone.

I pulled my trailer into lot. There was no pull through. The Liquior store owner(questionable UHaul location) told me he had not room to park. He offered no help in helping be back my van and trailer up. Very poor experience. He did send me to the corporate store down the street. There I as greeted by an AMAZING employee checking in the trailer. She was super helpful, great attitude and pleasure to work with... And she could lift the trailer off the trailer ball by herself. WOW!

We had zero issues with the product and staff! We were very happy to see women driving the delivery trucks and forklifts. Thats a great and empowering image for my young daughter. The only improvement I can comment on is the wait time on the phone.

Super rude. Messed up my reservation and harassed me about it. I won't be back to the national city location. The truck was also a total POS with no working ac and needs maintenance badly. Penske it is next time. Special note for management: train your employees better. Horrible check in experience and I don't appreciate one of your employees yelling at my Uber driver either. I totally regret this experience

My original pick up location would not honor my Corporate reservation unless I returned rental at a certain hour eve when my reservation was for a n entire day. I was sent to a different location to pick up truck. This change cause and created other issues down the line creating loss of donations and created over time. Also at the new pick up location the truck was almost empty of fuel. Less than a 1/4 thank This was definitely jot acceptable

Next time, try not to charge the renter when they receive a dirty vehicle. I was charged $25 (I believe that was the rate) for having a dirty vehicle when I initially got it like that. Why would I have to pay for someone else's dirty habits?

John at the Grangeville ID U-Haul station was very attentive to meet our needs ang help us self -deliver to our home after U-Haul said they would not deliver the last forty-five miles. Very knowledgeable and followed up to see that things went OK!

I drove 53 miles. I put 25.00 of gas (just over) 6 gallons and received a 13.00 fuel charge upon return. I can see 8.3 MPH but less than 6 MPG seems on the low side. Nonetheless, appreciated the teams support and professionalism. Truck worked great and we accomplished the project on time and budget.

I spent hours on hold over the course of 6 months. Calling the place and then getting pushed to someone else at national, they put in the ticket but only once in a half dozen times did someone confirm as I asked. I moved all my stuff to a different storage unit. If I could put in the instructions easily on line and then go meet the box the next day you would still have my business.

The boxes were late, but the uhaul staff was outstanding with this issue. They automatically issued a $50.00 credit per day. I didn't have to anything. Great experience. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Hire a new manager. Manager provides customers with vehicles with NO GAS and claims that the gas was stolen out of the vehicle. Manager claims that he did not report it to corporate nor did he file a police report. Apparently feels it's ok to provide customer with absolutely NO GAS. Horrible customer service. Also unnecessarily made me provide two different secondary contact to verify my identification.

We had to wait in a long line to check in, which seems counter-intuitive since you advertise 24-7 storage rent and check in, and since we are living in covid time. The person who helped us kept removing their mask while we were checking in. Not safe!!! We were charged for a lock but when we got to the storage unit there was a welcome packet, including a lock, in the space. So we paid for a lock we didn't need and now we have two.

Your hold times on the phone are too long. The staff at the Plainville CT location did not have my box ready for me on the date and time I scheduled. The staff in Plainville didn't seem to know how to do their jobs very well. Upon finishing unloading, the line to check out was long with quite a long wait. They were otherwise very friendly though.

I have been a loyal U-Haul renter for over 15 years! I have always used U-Haul trucks for my personals moves. And this move really upset me with how U-Haul treated me, for something so small and trivial.... I originally ordered a one-way reservation for a 26 foot truck on-line. After confirming reservation, and with only one day before my scheduled move, U-Haul customer service called and said that all San Diego area U-Hauls are no longer doing point-to-point reservations, and I would have to do a round trip. U-Haul Rep said I would be charged mileage which would be equal to my distance, and I could drop off after hours if needed, and no be charged an extra day as long as it its back before opening the next day. And this was okay for me because the cost was only $26 over my original reservation, and I had no other choice. I was told the same thing by the clerk at the U-Haul National City location. But after returning the truck before 8 pm, I was charged an extra day for the rental, and an additional $14 for insurance coverage. You lied to me! I was told specifically, and repeatedly, that I would not be charged as long as I returned the truck on Sunday, and you charged me extra anyways. You changed my reservation, and stuck my with terms I thought were okay, given my situation, then changed those on me as well. You're customer service reps on-line and at the location lied to me, for an extra $80! And all for the extra day, mileage, and insurance for having the truck for less than 3 hours after closing! Not a good way to do business, but I'm just a little guy, and your a giant corporation. I hope my hard earned $80 made you happy. Integrity is everything in todays day an age, and now I know you corporation and representatives are willing to put integrity aside for $80!!!! One goal, with no soul, MAKE MORE MONEY!!!!! Get back to customer service, work with your customers to provide solutions to meet their family move needs, and stop finding ways to scrape up as much money as possible from them. SMH!

After arriving at my drop off location and being told they didn't take trailers and being told they didn't know why I had been sent there, I tried the second nearest location and was told they too only did trucks, I found this location which was very well run and accepted my trailer return. Once again, your scheduling people have no clue what they are doing or why. No rhyme or reason for their choice of pickup or dropoff locations, just apparently a crap shoot. SO FRUSTRATING!

I have 2 payments coming on Monday and I have to call Uhaul back to get reimbursement? Now, im being compromised because of that. The location itself was great. However, when calling or returning a call from a specific question, I had to go through 2 Nat'l Customer Service Reps, was on hold for MORE than 30 minutes just to have the last Rep inform me that the local site had what they needed. One, the local site should have called me back to let me know. Two, I understand how busy you are with everyone moving, however, to be handed off to anothe r Nat'l Rep from one Nat'l Rep and to be on hold /on the phone for about 45 minutes was a complete WASTE!

They gave my reserved and paid storage unit to someone else. I had to drive 18 min away after 2 hours of them “figuring it out “. I get to the storage they reserved in exchange, it has a lock after 30 min someone breaks the lock and is filled with trash .. I was offered my first month free and I still got charged , not the best experience

You can just walk right up to the door and it opens automatically without having to check in? Not secure. The access hours were restricted, which was an inconvenience. The office closed at eight, which was an inconvenience. The staff is great. Very cool and friendly people that are willing to answer questions and accommodate. They are always cleaning. The place was spotless. Everybody always says national city is gross and dangerous, but it never felt like that.

Only minus is when I was moving out (around the he 1st) i noticed homeless around the facility like they knew it’s the time of the month people leave things behind and they were snooping around and I didn’t feel safe being there with my son. There seemed to be renters squatting out of the storage units. They left take their items out into the hall and hang out at their storage unit for most of the day. This did not make me feel safe.

GM Adam is awesome and his staff is incredibly helpful. While emptying our unit, a staff member happened by, checked the unit, and handed us our checkout statement in less than 5 minutes.
