The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and would recommend this location to friends and family. However, I really dislike if you extend a day you need to pay the insurance each day, it should be for the time you have it or at least be notified. I have full coverage on my SUV and pay 35 a month and paid 28 for 2 days. Very disappointed over 14 dollars.

The trucks are swept out but the old ones have grime on the floors and you have to put a pad down under everything. If they were washed out it wouldn't be a problem. And the helpers I hired through your website worked hard, but only 2 of the 5 people I hired had real moving experience. That needs to be noted when hiring somehow because 5 experienced and knowledgeable movers can accomplish significantly more than a few strong people without the knowledge. We made it work, but it really affects time and handling of the items.

I fifny make this reservation,not did I pick up or oay for this equipment. Uhaul is VERY AWARE that this FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY keeps happening. I have not rented from Uhaul since AUGUST 2017. I will never use Uhaul again! I have spoken with multiple representative at uhaul and their various locations to rectify yhis and although ALL OF THEM tell me it will be rectified it continues to happen! I tell everyone I know not to use Uhaul because they permit IDENTITY THEFT knowingly!

There were many issues with my pick up. First the door was open when I arrived at 6:56 am. I went inside with another customer and was told by the manager, David, that they weren't open. I said the door was open and he explained that was only for the guys outside, not for customers. I asked if we could wait inside and he said no because he was doing inventory. We went back outside and waited the 4 minutes. Then I was told that the truck I was renting was in between 1/4 and E and I needed to go straight to the gas station, he was going to give me a $36 fuel credit (or close to that amount). When I got into the truck the gas gauge was below E. I asked the outside attendant if it would even make it to the gas station and he assured me that it would. He said it was just one exit up the I 5 freeway. I proceeded to the gas station and the truck ran out of gas 3/4 of the way there. I tried to call several times and was unable to reach anyone at the location, it was forwarded on to the service center. I walked back off the freeway to the store about a mile and a half away. When I got there, I told him what happened and he acted like I was the problem, questioned if I went straight to the gas station and left me standing there to go get a 5 gallon can. He then just told me to follow him to a truck to go get gas. No sorry this happened, nothing. He was not nice and acted as if I was the problem. We emptied the gas can and he just left after I started the truck. I called once I got back and asked for a manager. I was told he was the GM, but I could speak with his boss, Don Chae. Don was appalled at my experience, apologized profusely and refunded my rental cost completely. He was fantastic and helped U-Haul save face. Overall the experience was a nightmare, but Don made it more palatable.

My equipment was not ready at my scheduled pickup time 6:30 am. My dashboard said no equipment was reserved for my reservation and provided a phone number to call for 24 hr support. Nobody answered my call. Luckily, a store employee showed up early and was able to help, but he seemed annoyed that I was there. All this after my first reservation at a different location was cancelled because no available equipment. There seems to be a problem with your online reservation process.

I can think of nothing that would improve the excellent service and help of the U-Haul staff at 1300 Wilson in San Diego, CA. Something to watch...The fuel gauge was rated at 1/2 full. At start up is really was 1/2, but after driving only a couple of blocks it settled in at just over 1/4. It was that way at every stop along my route. Suggest you let the gauge settle before rating the tank as it's the customer that has to pay the difference. One more thing.. in this day and age a vehicle without cruise control, please. I just made a 1000 mile trip. My right leg may never be the same.
