The air conditioning on the truck was faulty. It only came on for about five minutes each time the truck was started up. I tried to call about it and was on hold on the phone for 12 minutes before I was cut off. I cannot get in contact to let them know about the problem.Christine T.

Wasn't completely horrible definitely not great! The alignment and steering where not great by all means, alignment was off and steering was sloppy. someone left their snacks and drinks in the glove box, I threw them away before returning vehicle.Carl S.
The van's cabin absolutely reeked of smoke; my hands carried the smell afterwards just from using the steering wheel. Checkout was quick and easy (the reason this is 2 stars instead of 1), although the cashier said that no after-hours dropoffs were available despite there being a 24/7 dropbox outside the front door. Had this option been available, it would've avoided the headache that dropoff became. My wife and I had planned to drop the van off at 7a when the store opened, but it didn't open until almost an hour and a half after it was scheduled to. This cut into my work day since I didn't have another opportunity to return the vehicle until after the store had closed again which was obviously too late. I can understand emergencies happening, but no compensation for the trouble and wasted time was offered during the return of the vehicle. No effort was made to make it right, otherwise I would have been willing to give a 4 star rating (still dropped from 5 for the strong smoke smell).Stephen N.

The CSR (Katherine) was not prepared to do her job properly. There was no handheld available to complete the contract with regards to taking the photo of the DL. She used her personal phone and just took a pictire pf my uncles DL. She did not verify if the address was current, get a second contact number. At least one hand held should be left in the store. Once the contract was completed the address and email was not current on the printed out contract. Told us we were not allowed to do the 24/7 online check in when we were tp returned the trailer since they are too busy for that? Uhaul offers that, said such and she said trailers don't count just the trucks. Again Uhaul offers that option for a reason. There was another set of customers in the store that were just there to buy moving supplies, I let her know she can take care of them then hook up the trailer since she was the only CSR in the store and you should NEVER leave the store and money drawers unattended. She refused and left them alone. Once we got to the trailer it was missing the rubber seals, mentioned that, she said they were not needed.... um wrong, they are and requested them, stated they should be on the cleaning cart, so she takes them from another trailer. The light wiring wax missing so, once again she takes it from another trailer, does not even inspect the wire to make sure its not split or anything. The TD itself has not been leveled 1 since 3rd week of March and leveled 2 technically at all since the sticker was in the wrong spot but there was one that showed it hasn't been leveled 2 since last summer. There was damaged to the driver side fender that was not documented and the handled on the tongue was missing. She couldn't care less. Upon returning the TD we waited in the drop off lane the next morning for over 10 minutes watching both CSRs ignore us and clean out trucks. Another couple went into the store so my husband went and dropped the TD from the spot we picked it up at while I went into the store. I waited in line since there was a couple renting a truck, next thing I knew she handed me a receipt for the trailer. She did not look the trailer over or attempt to drop the trailer like she is is required to. I brought that up and she did not care. The receipt had the current address of my uncle that never gave her? So that's where my thought was that she took a pic of his license the previous day with her personal phone which is a huge no no. I have worked for Uhaul and this MCO group needs so much training again and it starts at the top with the MCP who allows this along with the GMs.mark C.

After hour check out procedure needs some work. Scanned drivers license six times defore acceptance, van condition several times back and forth between van and key box twice and eight times entered lockbox code before it worked. The whole part of UHaul is you move then drop off at the closest UHaul location. The one in Canton made him make a special 11 hour trip, round trip, to bring the motorcycle hauler back to the location we tented it from. Extra $350 in gas. More than the tenal price. Was told if we didn't bring it back from Northern Michigan to Canton, Ohio we would be charges for buying the hauler. That's bull crap. I'd NEVER tent from him again and I feel he owes us at least $350 for the gas. Not to mention the time taken off work to do it. Don't GO HERE!!!;Brian R.

Very unhelpful employee that I worked with. He was not personable, did not listen and was quite rude. I understand he has a job to do but you can always be kind and listen to the customers that are paying way to much money for these products to begin with. This location makes me want to find another company to finish my move to Ohio with. I actually moved out if the storage in the 19th if August and due to me not having transportation to get to the facility and check out I had to call, that was a nightmare I tried calling the facility numerous times with no luck I called from the 18th to the 25 if August. I finally reached someone around the 28th. Now my move out date reads the 31st. Customer service is not the too priority with this certain facility. Shame cause I've used U-Haul many times in my Navy Carrier and never had a problem. We were satisfied until the very end. We emptied one of our units 6 weeks before the due date and the second one 2 weeks before the due date. SEVERAL people told us we would get a refund on the unused time after our final unit was emptied. Upon completion we were told refunds are not done. This wasn't fair as uhaul could have re-rented these units and gotten double money on them. We've learned our lesson. Storage was good. Jeff at the whipple store horrible. I didn’t appreciate him sending me down to the uhaul store in the drug infested area in canton. He had told me the truck would be available at the whipple location once we arrived @ the whipple store I was told to pickup on E Tusc. After arriving @ the store on Tusc. the young lady could not find my rsvp. Back to whipple the gentleman had to call the manager to get things straightened out. Manager upgraded truck. Rsvp a second truck & Jeff once again screwed up. He was to schedule pickup Canton & return & he did not. Manager once again took care of the problem. No I will recommend renting truck from uhaul location. Jeff horrible poor customer service never smiled & I pray he didn’t do what he did based on what he THOUGHT was social economics. The gentleman that checked me in was excellent! My complaint is with the condition of the facility itself. There were absoluteLy no lights working in the hallway & was told it couldn’t be fixed until Monday (after moving day). Could not see anything inside of my unit. Snow was not cleared around the door so we could not get carts to work. As soon as you walk in there is nothing but others peoples JUNK facing you. I paid slightly less for a PRISTINE unit in MI that i could even drive my vehicle into for loading/unloading. I will be looking for a different storage unit elsewhere. My experience with my storage unit was down right horrible. The staff at this location is one of the worst staffs I’ve seen in any business that is still open. They are not accommodating, make you jump through hoops to get things done and sometimes down-right nasty. I would not recommend this facility or ANY of their services to anyone. I will try and avoid uHaul altogether from here on out due to my latest experience. Was told I had access until 10:00 pm. Got there at 7:30 pm and could not get access per instructions given to me. Had to call number on door for manager. First she did not answer cell phone. Had to call second time before she answered. She said I had to use both access places because it was after 7:00 pm. I did and door opened but not sliding door. Had to call her a third time to find out how to open sliding door. Was told it would not open because it was after 7:00 pm. When I went to open unit I rented it was full of trash and had not been swept. We had to find a broom and sweep it and clean out trash. I call her a fourth time to report this. She called me today and apologized for all the trouble and dirty unit. She said she noted on my account I would get 20% off for the rest of my rental. I asked her why the representative did not inform me of additional things to access after 7:00pm. She said she would talk to them but could not answer this because she was not there when I rented. If I had not been able to contact her last night I would have been denied access. I had a semi truck making delivery at 8:00 pm.
