I think his name is Mike, but he went above and beyond helping me get a trailer before Sunday. I asked him to call me if a trailer was dropped off before closing time on Saturday and thought there is no way he would call. He did around 12:30pm and I was able to drive down and get the trailer and start my moving process earlier than planned. Then the gentleman that helped me hook it up to my vehicle was nice as well. Even though they were really busy they were all pleasant and didn't seem like they hated life like other uhaul's I've been to. I think the manager runs the ship well and seems to treat his staff well which helps them treat the customers well. They were pleasant to everyone they encountered while I was there. Do not switch up/cancel equipment on your customers days before a huge cross country move that they have been planning for months. This is a horrible way to conduct business and I will not be recommending U-Haul to anyone looking for moving advice. To be clear, the staff at this location was very nice and helpful. My girlfriend was sitting in the car and homeless guy knocked on the car window. She proceeded to tell him to go away and she walked into the store. The homeless guy started following her into the store trying to harass her.Raven C.

It was not clear about travel charges. I understood the rental to include delivery travel and pickup. It did not and I was charged a significant sum for delivery to load destination and another equally large charge for delivery to unload destination. Representative said he'd adjust that charge but did not. It was deducted from my bank account!randi H.

The pick-up location was acceptable. The worker was kind and accommodating. Getting to this point was UNBEARABLY PAINFUL!! There was no 15' truck available even though I had a representative go through dispatch to make the request. Customer service required HOURS of being ignored on HOLD. I was told I would need to drive to an obscure location to pick up a truck. I flew in with no transportation to move my things. I had to solicit the assistant of a supervisor in order to get the truck I reserved. I was told there was no record of the updated transaction. What a NIGHTMARE!!! The truck was ok, but based on performance, it didn't seem like the brakes had been tended to in awhile.ESTHER W.

I made my original request reservation a month in advance for a 20' truck and dolly at the L St location. I received an email the day before my reservation saying that it had been moved to the 18th St location and a 26' truck. I was very upset that my reservation had been changed without my permission. I cannot understand why it was moved at all and without even asking the customer first. Very poor planning and customer service. The 18th St location was nice enough but I don't think I'll be using UHaul anytime soon.Katherine M.

There is a lack of safety and protection for customers from people that are loitering outside the facility. While moving in during the middle of the day we were confronted by an individual who made us feel fearful and unsafe. This facility needs to do more to protect customers from harassment while they are on the property accessing their storage units. When doing the mobile pickup I ran into a problem. It told me the pick up location had not taken pictures of the vehicle that I was picking up. So there wasn't an easy way to verify any previous damage or mileage or gas range for the start. I had to call and sit on hold for 20 minutes before I could talk to someone and verbally verify since the location itself was closed. I also have never had issues verifying my identity picking up a van with my ID on mobile and this time was asked to take pictures of it multiple times and then provide additional contact options. This all set my pickup time back by about 30 minutes so my scheduled pickup for 7 turned into 730. This is the only location I've run into these problems. I like having this option of pickup and drop off because it allows me to quickly pick up a vehicle when I need to and the store is closed. I'll continue to rent vehicles but this was just an overall poor experience this time.KEIRSTIN Y.

When I checked in, I was told there were no more units of the size I wanted. Had it not been for Tristan, this facility would have received a lower mark. Some substitute employee, from a different facility, gave our RESERVED unit to someone else. It was the last one in the size we needed. Tristan jumped into action finding us two units that met our needs, at a discounted price, gave us a free month of rent, and a free lock for the extra unit. Tristan worked hard to solve this issue. The other regular staff are amazing and are very customer service oriented. There were no furniture pads included at all. Why would u haul ever advertise this if it was a lie. Then the location shipping to in Arizona double charged me $1447 on 4/16 and I still don't have this money in my account. They lied at the Litchfield Park location saying full refund was processed on 4/16 and told me to call my bank. I called my bank 4/20 and they confirmed no refund was even initiated. Calling back the Litchfield Park location didn't answer and I got through to Corporate after holding an hour. Corporate then confirmed a refund was still under review and not even processed. I expect UHaul to remedy this. I should not be charged May rent for the UBox as UHaul ruined my chances of getting into a home in April by wrongfully taking my home deposit. They should be putting in notes for free delivery once I can get into a home also. I hope action is taken soon.Destinee R.
