Haven't received my email receipt. Customer service is horrible if you hate your job don't come in to work. The girl that help me when I turned in my U-Haul can be more friendly. She called me to follow up on my return time because it was almost 5pm and my time to turn in was 4pm once again rude tone on her voice. Charge extra doesn't matter I'm the customer.JAIME G.

I was scheduled to pick up at the Gardena, California location, which on the day of my move did not have the truck available that I reserved. Eric The service agent at the Gardena location was rude and unhelpful. I was given no options for solving the situation. After call U-Haul 800. I was directed to the Long Beach, Calif location. I got the last 26ft truck even though I made a reservation for a 20ft truck with a trailer. This change the entire dynamic of my move- it made it more difficult for me to drive and handle a truck of that size with a transport for my car attached. The truck was old and in poor condition. The move was horrible. during the incline on my drive the truck struggled and the head lights were dim and insufficient to be driving on a dark highway at night and in the rain, it was really dangerous. After a treacherous drive, I was told by the Rental Drop off location in Oakland, Ca. that the trailer that I was pulling one of the tires had a flat tire, and I was lucky that I made it to the drop off point. When I finally unloaded and returned the 26ft truck, it caught on fire 2 miles from the drop off location. I made it to the lot with the truck smoking and then was met with indifference, until they saw the truck was smoking and smelling like it was going to go up in flames. It was a horrible and distressful experience- which all could have been avoided if my reservation that made for the move 1 month prior was honored. not only did I make the reservation more than 1 month ahead I went to rental pick up location twice as late as 2 days prior to pick up to check and double-check -and still did not make this move un-eventful, also when I dropped off the trailer at the San Leandro, Calif. I was told it had a flat tire!!!.....ELISCHA M.

Put the correct pick up location on my reservation confirmation. You had wrong information and I wasted and had to pay my moving guys. $30 extra spent that I did not have to spent plus 1 hour of my time. Which made me late to meet a client by 1 hour. My ubox was shipped from Brooklyn to Staten Island before i was finished loading it. Someone told me of i loaded it early it would be sent earlier. In long beach i was not contacted when it arrived. And i was supposed to get the box delivered and they told me they couldn'tDaniel L.

If I can leave a 0 star and negative review I would. I want to say that the employees at Long Beach were great and amazing but I can't leave a positive review. My experience with U-Haul was the worst I ever had to encounter with a service company. I was helping my parent prepare to move into their new home and we reserved two 26 foot U-Haul over a month in advance. We knew that end of the month were busy and we planned ahead. We received our reserved confirmation and had to two pick up locations which is fine. A whole month went by and and two days before i am scheduled to pick up both trucks I received a call saying that one of my Reservations is canceled and there wasn't another location that had a 26 foot U-haul within a 50 mile radius. Instead U-Haul only had a 10 foot truck. Now most companies would be understanding on what has happened and try to rectify the situation, not U-Haul. not only did they not save my reservation or get one at another location even past the 50 miles but they instead offered the 10 foot truck for the same price of $40 a day and not the normal $20 a day for that size due to demand. We almost didn't get the second truck but I received a call a day before for my second reservation to tell me i had to go to another location to pick it up because the location I had the reservation at wouldn't have my truck. The truck we picked up came out of service supposedly and the windshield wipers were bad and we had to replace them. Such BS and due to the late timing we couldn't find another truck so my Dad and I had to do multiple trips to make the move. It was a long week and a half but we got it done no thanks to U-Haul. I will do everything in my power to never use U-Haul ever again because they over books, don't hold reservations, gauge you when they mess up and don't care for the customer.KEVIN B.

The employees were all busy doing everything for customers. They were all a "Jack (or Jill) of all trades". The store was busy when I got there and every employee was helping a customer. I was impressed with the knowledge and capability of all the employees. Just don't call. The phones are routed somewhere remote and the wait is long. I waited 55 minutes and then was disconnected.
