Alex C.I was told that I would be charged 59 cents per mile by the girl that took my reservation, however when I went to pick up the truck, I was told it would be 69 cents per mile since the girl was not there and made no annotation on the order.. Basically I was lied to to get me to book a truck with U-Haul which is not an honest way to do business..
Robert B.I got charged $15 at drop off due to lack of light in the return area. The after hours self check in website on my phone would not accept that the equipment was clean upon return and I had to answer “no†in order to continue check in. I conjecture it's because there was not enough light in the pictures uploaded to verify cleanliness, but it was the middle of the night and being alone, I didn't want to continue to mess with it at that hour. The pick up process was seamless and the employees great.

These guys know what they are doing. The storage facility was clean and the ability to pull in and unload is a bonus. I'm definitely ok with paying almost 200.00 a month during a pandemic to store here lo!!!!!!

Stephen M.First, the app experience for picking up the vehicle is terrible. This is at least the third or fourth time using the app and it hasn't gotten any better. The app is slow and clunky. I signed in to pick up my vehicle and once I complete the information, most of which should be on file from previous rentals, I had to find my truck. Shame on me but I would have thought it would have been set aside the evening before, but it was not. After finding my truck, I had to make May way all the way back to the office to retrieve my keys. At this location, all the way is all the way, not convenient. Once in the office, no one was there so I had to search for help. When I found someone he was nice and accommodating. I then had to go all the way back out to the truck and inspect it for damage. This was the most damaged vehicle I have ever rented from U-Haul. I drove the truck back to the office to ask the individual I met earlier to look it over with me. Just about all the damage had the “x†sticker but some ran the entire length of the truck. Some could have been consider “marked†but who is to say once you return it? There was a light rain the day I rented and after loading the truck and taking it to my destination, I found boxes wet from a leak in the cargo area. Just disappointing. I've used other local locations and their vehicles seemed in better shape. Just a disappointing experience.

When I go 20 minutes further to the location that is now expecting, I receive a larger truck than what is on my reservation. Although I did not need the larger or anticipate paying more, I was billed for the larger truck.

I have driven many large vehicles and am accustomed to using the mirrors but not everyone who drives a uhaul is 6 feet tall. Multiple merges in Pittsburgh traffic was difficult because the mirrors were almost useless.

He really seemed like he cared about his job and customer satisfaction. He made a solid suggestion with the furniture pads (my end tables thank you). I also really appreciate him also going over everything on the truck before I took it. I really feel like he was very patient in answering all of my questions and concerns. He made this experience very painless. As a manager myself, the value of an employee like him should be recognized. I will refer your location now to all of my friends who are moving to this area as I am expanding the department for the division I manage.

Joan M. | First ImpressionsLengthy process to check-in... ended up needing counter help due to long wait and lack of communication with online representative and return was even more lengthy and frustrating... was told in advance to "just park it in the return area and put the keys in the dropbox", but then ended up needing multiple pictures and information from vehicle which was no longer accessible without keys to turn on dashboard indicators. This should have been clearly advised IN ADVANCE, perhaps when checking in, to save time and frustration. Specific steps for arrival and entering storage area- entering code to disarm, opening/closing garage, breaking temporary 'lock' (zip-tie), entering code when leaving, etc... should be posted in garage area. Some things have instructions but nowhere could I find a complete checklist of what all I was supposed to do. **Also, the speed-bump in parking lot is unusually high and scraped the underside edge of passenger side/door area. Who should I contact regarding damages?? I was advised inside by employee that U-haul installed that.
Ingrid P. | Online Move InI swapped out my unit for one closer to the loading bay. When I went to move in my code did not work. I tried using the call button on the alarm unit. It went to customer service instead of the office. It was pouring rain so I opted to walk through the facility to go back to the office. I went to exit through loading bay 1 & 2. I didn't notice but I'm guessing the roof leaks. I slipped and fell injuring my knee and back. At no time did the motion lights come on. I got up and proceeded to the office. I told them what happened and they didn't seem to concerned about it. I asked about my unit code not working and it turns out the order was never completed. So they redid the order and I was on my way. I went back later in the evening to unload and items. And my lock that I was given from the office wouldn't unlock. It was seized up and the key snapped off. So now. I can't get access to the items in my unit or put others in the unit.

Contractors were painting the pavement and refused entry to our unit tho NOTHING was mentioned the previous day when reserving a truck for the specific purpose of cleaning it out! We moved the cones to gain entry and empty my unit. The girls were being bombarded with complaints and I get that, but neither should be in the customer service industry with how they talked about the customers when they walked away irate...can't take the heat, get outta the kitchen...poor company representation from the get go Saturday...tho I cannot say 1 bad thing about Josh who always went above and beyond...especially while I was having banking issues and was late 2 months...aside from Saturday, my experience was pleasant. I told them I drove all the way from Pittsburgh and needed a truck to pickup furniture. I finally got a 10 ft truck a hour later. I was late for my pickup for the furniture and almost missed the pickup, That made the trip very aggravating. But I must say the manager Amy helped me with the situation of the trip.She was very nice to work with.

So I had to lug equipment down 2 flights of stairs and woke my kids and neighbors. The person that checked me into the facility took me to the computer and personally set me up for 24 hour access.

karen s. | First Impressionsi was very impressed with josh at west view, pa storage..very helpful,clean facility,and was very respectful, and could tell he understood my needs..although i made reservations a month in advance for a 20 foot uhaul and a trailer to pull my car 1400 mile from austin to pittsburgh..i was told to come to rundberg austin texas location to pick up truck and trailer, and then was told i needed to go 30 miles out of my wayto pick up vehicle, which set us back 6 hrs, so turned out i had to stay an extra night in a hotel..and the person i spoke to at rundberg austin was not polite, and i almost lost my kool on him, but remained calm..don't know if i will use uhaul againfor transporting any of my items..storage on the other hand yes will continue to use uhaul store at west view pa location..i was told by customer service that i would be compensated for my incovience, but never heard back from anyone..thank you
