The lady who waited on us was so nice. Although when we first arrived the man told us if we didn't make a reservation they had no trucks available. He was not nice to us. My mothers moving co canceled that day and we had no choice but to rent a truck and move her ourselves. Thank you for the kind and understanding lady. If she hadn't spoke up we would have walked out. Shane on the nan for just being rude.

I had a reservation to pick up an auto transport and they didn't have one. I needed it to pick up a car in Orlando and they couldn't find one. After over 30 minutes on the phone with U-Haul and the office trying to locate one, I had to leave in order to make my appointment to get the car. Fortunately as I was leaving an AT showed up. But after this fiasco, I was nearly an hour behind schedule.

Best Uhaul location I have ever been to. Used this place a few time. Been to NY, Miami, Pembroke Pines, etc but this one has the best people. I got a trailer today .... they attached it for me and sent me off and later on, detached and I got to go home. Exhausting days of traveling and hauling stuff are made better by beginning and ending with such service. Thanks so much.

Picking the unit up was a bit challenging with sites internet down. No fault of theirs. I picked the unit up parked on the side of the road at the main entrance. Retuning the unit I had a guy who didn't give a tip about customer service. Told him I parked it where I picked it up. He told me I needed to bring on the site. I responded that it was left where I picked it up originally. He said he wasn't going to check it in if I didn't bring in the parking area. I accommodated his rude response. Waited nearly 45 mins and he never came back in the facility. Another agent checked me out. Urgent need for some customer service training at this location. I will not return for any future needs.

The staff was rude and the experience was unpleasant and rushed. I understand that they are extremely busy but to feel like a burden when we are spending money was really uncomfortable. The older gentleman was gruff and rude- the woman seemed beyond stressed and agitated and the younger guy at check out was so rude to me that I walked out thinking that I will never go back. I deal with guests everyday and would never make someone feel like that- not only is it inappropriate when someone is spending money at your place of business but it should just be human nature to be polite.

The trailer that I leased didn't have the brake light connector wiring harness and I was unaware until I got home and wanted to begin my trip. I realized that there were no brake lights on the trailer. This is very dangerous and careless of the Uhaul employees. I feel that this is a gross oversight and could of causes major damages. On a positive note the truck was clean and the employee that assisted me in loading my car onto the trailer was nice.

I told the worker the “check engine light” was on when I picked up the truck. He shook his head is disgust. As I was driving away from the facility, this conscientious employee was heading to my truck with a diagnostic reader.

We rented a pickup truck for a few to use for my work, and the pickup truck was filthy inside and out, it had no passenger side mirror, and was dented and scratched all over. It had a change oil light notification the entire time we had it. It drove good but was trashed and unsafe with no passenger side mirror.

Very clean truck. No problem there, but…. Very slow lines, understaffed and parking is only 2 spots. Very congested area and that makes for parking nightmare. But the truck was very clean and in good condition.

The only reason I said no was when I called to drop off the I haul I was told it was till7:30…I got to the north port location at7:10 as I walked in I was getting yelled at because they were closing I told them that all I was doing was dropping off he said ok and you can do it in your phone and the drop box was around the corner. It took me another 20 min to get my phone to work. Then when I was filling it back up the gas needle was very slow and didn't actually show what I put in it until we got to the location. I have to say there was 2 employees when I picked the uhaul up that was pleasant and helpful

Truck had a broken mirror. Also, I was not verbally told they would "ESTIMATE" gasoline usage at $4.50/gallon. I went 25 miles, and I was charged $22.50 for gasoline. I did NOT use 5 gallons on that small truck. Truck should have had a full tank (it did not), and I should have had the option to fill it up at $3.09 at the station closest to where I rented the truck.

My ubox arrived 3 days late and it wasn't the hurricane that caused it. The driver somehow screwed up somehow and never delivered it on Oct 17. The Manager promised me he would give me a $100 credit but I never received it. I have called several times but they never let talk to the so-called manager, John Carol. I want my $100 credit.

The Northport location was wonderful. However general customer service and the scheduling out of Fort Meyers was beyond awful and one of the worst experiences I have ever had. We were flat out lied to about where our Ubox was, we were hung up on, we were fighting with different service representatives multiple times a day to find out where our Ubox was (getting told different answers each time and reassured of different things each time) and when it would arrive. It was a horrible experience and I am seeking compensation for days that my box did not arrive after it's “guaranteed delivery date” as well as being misled and blatantly lied to.

I called at 3 PM on the day of my rental to verify that there were after hours drop off, spoke to someone named Josh and they confirmed. Went to drop off the truck around 9 PM and ended up on the phone with U-Haul again for over 40 minutes trying to figure out how to drop off the equipment, ended up having to go home and go back in the morning which made me late for work.

With so many business without internet due to Hurricane Ian, U-Haul rise above. They used their phone internet to process requests. Their service was exceptional. Box prices are the best in the area. Strong and many different sizes. You can even return them to an area for second hand use by others. Great customer service. I will give U-Haul on Pan American the best rating of 5 stars!

The facilities are very crammed together. Trucks, trailers, RV's etc are constantly parked along the roadway between all the buildings and thus our personal unit. We could barely squeeze thru just to get to our unit and then had to back out and turn around to get out.......not an easy thing to do when pulling a trailer. Very inconvenient setup. Would not recommend this place.

employees at north port location are mostly rude and all complain about being too busy and are tired , overworked and have sudden fits of anger when you ask them to honor the promotions I signed up for online( free day with previous reservation of trailer/ truck. yell at you in front of everybody and say "thats not how we do things here and we are not going to honor it if you simply have a reservation for abtrailer/truck and get a free month because you could cancel the reservation. that the only way was to have signed a contract today for a truck trailer to get the offer. oh and sorry you cant sign a contract for that trailer because we dont have it in stock. yelling at me the whole time. (This was a CSR named Kody allen) so i called uhaul online when i got home and spoke to operator and she called the store and spoke to RICHARD Perrin (Gen manager) and she said he was suppoed to call me today but is mid afternoon and i didnt receive the call and its almost 3pm. Also when i got to my unit today there were 2 uhaul moving trucks parkd in front of my door(drive up access) and i had to ask the front desk if they could move them ( she only moved one and i was still blocked by the front end of the second truck still no drive up access. and then i ask them about the gate code and hours and they inform me that the security gate is broken and that i( or anyone) can drive in 24 hours a day!!! i do not feel very secure with my belongings in this facility, so far everything stinks.

The facility was not well organized, trailers and trucks surround the storage units to the point staff had to move them or we did to get out and for other customers the staff had to move a truck that was infront of there unit. I purchased insurance and a look from the staff on the start date of my rental, the staff member did not inform me the lock i had chosen would not comply with my insurance coverage until about 3 weeks later. Upon arrival the storage unit i had reserved and which was available online was not available and i had to purchase a bigger unit at a higher cost then i had wished to spend. The staff did remind me to get my lock but that was the extent of the useful service I felt was provided.

This is a busy facility and have limited space to store the extra vehicles during peak times. Navigating to and from you storage unit can be a challenge at times. Employees are hard working, friendly and eager to help. Thank you.

We reserved a space 10x20 from out of state two months in advance. When we arrived, you didn't have such a space available. Best you could do was two 10 x 10 spaces far apart for more money!! The latches on the storage units were crap and broken. The storage lot is so full of rental trailers and trucks you can't even get close to your storage locker. What a disaster this place is. We couldn't get our truck or trailer close to the storage we overpaid for. NO! I would never suggest anyone EVER deal with your facility. For the prices you charge.... clean up the yard!!

Jeffrey was generally unpleasant to interact with. There is almost never someone at the location to speak with over the phone. The call center tries their best to answer questions but without knowledge of the exact location it never pans out. Will not be returning.

Staff was rude and inconsiderate. Blocked our unit with trailers along with trucks which made it hard to access our unit. Automatic payment setup did not work for over 6 months causing a fault in my contract and staff didn't notify me pertaining the issue from June all the way till the middle of November.... 6 MONTHS!!!!! THEN GAVE ME A HARD TIME when I wanted to get me stuff and move it to one of my other three units I have elsewhere. I will never use Uhaul company or recommend them to friends or family. This was the Pan American facility in Northport FL. 100 PERCERNT DISSATISFIED!!!!!!! Vincent

Late fees are outrageous. Not calling customer to inquire about payment that did not go through on auto-drafts before charging a late fee. Calling customers saying items are going up for auction if account is not brought current when the reason the balance is so high is because of fees.

Had to throw away quite a bit of things due to mold and mouse:rat droppings and things being chewed threw and chewed on. Dirt and grim all over everything, the storage units do not seal good when the door is shut. Rodents are bad and I’m assuming the place does not control pest and rodents up to par. We won’t ever use a uhaul storage unit like this again

When my husband arrived to pick up or truck and locate our until we were told that there was no unit for us and could not find our contract number despite U-Haul taking our money for the unit. The whole thing was a nightmare and never got resolved.

Two days in a row I can not get into the facilty to get to my unit. The gate code sent does not work then they give me a card to use and that does not work. This has been the worst experience

No process was really great. I thought it was going to be much more difficult. The North Port U-Haul storage center was extremely busy, and they had a lot of vehicles and trailers so much so that at one point I was almost unable to get to my storage unit. I was able to get to the unit, by driving slowly and watching my mirrors. This is not a bad thing but it does say that they need more land and storage space for their vehicles and trailers. Overall I'm very happy with the experience. And I will be using this same service in the future if needed.

my only negative is I wish there was another exit /entrance for the back and/or that the lanes were bigger or basically not blocked all the time by either Uhall trucks and trailers or other people using their units. it was sometimes impossible to get to my unit and i only went there maybe 6 times in the 2 years i had the unit. I had another unit at this location before, it was right by the return area and even though it was up front i still had issues getting to it because there was a returned Uhaul truck there. other than that, all good.

Staff was always great to work with, however the unit we had (end unit) the bottom of exterior wall was rusting away and we could see daylight and lots of bugs inside.

Everything was perfect except one thing, it was really congested with trucks and trailers. Given the layout of the facility, and the volume of business you do, I don't know how it could be easily fixed. It did feel like you were doing your best, and your people were over the top courteous and willing to help. You have a great group of people working there. We had a confirmed reservation (Reservation #:830027-00107295) for a 10 x 20 unit. The reservation was made almost a month in advance for a cross country move. When we arrived we were casually told there was no 10 x 20 units available as if it was no problem! The best they could do was 2 - 10 x 10 separate units. And to add insult to injury we are now going to be charged $129.99 a month for each ($259.98 total) rather than the $179.99 for the same amount of space. But standing at the counter with a full truck and movers on the way, what choice did we have? Doesn't seem fair we pay more every month for inconvenient, separated, spaces due to U-Haul not being able to honor their commitment. Felt like a classic Bait and Switch.

The parking lot for that particular location is horrible. They store/park too many vehicles there and you can’t maneuver a large truck around there easily. I always felt like I was going to either hit my truck or one of their buildings. It would have been easier if they didn’t store so many in front of peoples storage units. There were many times that we had to go to the office to have them move their vehicles to be able to get into our storage unit.

Only issue is it's so very busy here, extremely difficult getting in or out. Staff was great, customers were rude, would park and block driveway.
