BRYAN RThe gas level was not at 5/8th as indicated. Luis, the counter attendant, mentioned to both me and the previous customer that the gas level was 5/8th. Upon returning the truck, the gas gauge showed slightly below half a tank. I was charged over $18 for the gas.

I reserved an appliance dolly at another location and, upon arrival, found they had no dollies and had not had any for some time. I spent the next hour getting the runaround on the phone (transferred 5 times) before the last person took the initiative to call nearby locations to find me a dolly. Kudos to that person.

ARMANDO GThe truck had an empty gas tank (low fuel light on) when I received it. It was very stressful, hoping I would not run out of gas on the way to the gas station. Please have at least have an 1/8 of a tank in the truck. I was not even offered another truck. Just a "hopefully you make it to the gas station." Truck was clean, but not well maintained. The steering wheel would shake braking at 40mph and above. Additionally, the truck swerves to the right when trying to drive straight. In general, staff was nice. Glad I got a little credit for bringing in the truck with at least 1/8th tank.

Brandy RThe site and trailer were great and staffs are very helpful! Gowever, I have a big question toward to the online reservation. It somewhat was disappointed. First, I couldn’t get my trailer in the original location at the original reserved time. There is no warning update. In the end, I have to call the help phone line to reserve the trail in the other site which is away my destination about 40 min away. The major problem was I was not allowed to return the trailer in the different locations. When I finish my job, I have to spend about additional 2 hours to return the trailer and back to my work place. I am appreciated all staffs who was helping but the company should let customer with some flexibility as the original problem was the customer who cannot get the truck or trailer they want at the time in the reserved locations.

Oleg LMy wife and I came in on Sunday (9/29/24) and were looking to get a 15 van. The owner told me they didn’t have any since it’s towards the end of the month and they’re booked, completely understandable. He told me he can put us for a reservation and it’ll show in the system for other UHAULs nearby and told us the one in Canoga Park has a 15 available so we went. About 10 minutes later, I get a call from this Northridge UHAUL letting me know they have a 15 van available which confused us because we just left and the owner told us they didn’t have any. It was very inconvenient since we had just left this store and we were already more than halfway to the one in Canoga Park and we had to drive back to Northridge.

This is very unprofessional and I’ve been waiting days for a reply. I was unable to access my 2 units after hours and it was very inconvenient. I had to spend time the next day moving my belongings when the manager simply needed to reply to my text. There is a sign outside the facility with his cell on it for after hours support. It’s meaningless if no one responds. I texted him I waited 15 minutes for a reply, and I’m still waiting! This level of apathy is unsettling. I’m very disappointed.

Employees have no idea what they are doing and when you bring up your concerns with Juan, the manager if you can even reach him, he doesn’t acknowledge you or do anything about it. On top of that doors were broken for 5+ months so transient people were walking in and out of the facility making it feel very unsafe. Do yourself a favor and rent at Extrage Sorage or literally anywhere else but this location.

Especially the trailer hitches, that are low to the ground and hard to see, even when you don't have any boxes in the car. If your now good at backing up you risk an accident. Moving with them is good. Just don't use them for storage.

I had clothes put away in secure bags and those bugs chewed right through them and ate into expensive clothes. The cleaning lady always speaks rudely about customers infront of customers, she thinks just because she says it in spanish that no one will understand her, well we did and we told her to stop as it was rude af. Im sorry we are putting our things for donation for other families to use and you dont want to do your job. The "owner" Juan was rude to my husband stating they dont offer military rates (for trailers) & spoke condesendingly to him on memorial day. Only to be shown on their very website that there is in fact military rates. There has been times we needed something from storage around 8pm and their system was fully down. Manager was called and nothing ever came about. Overall, we decided to move out fully cause alot of my items were damaged by these bugs they have in their unit. Only the lady who works in the office (blonde) she was cool, I liked her.

Its clear that the security system is not enough of a deterrent to prevent thief or setup in such a way as to catch thieves. In this case it appears it was another tenant on the same floor breaking into other units with impunity. There needs to be cameras on every hall and not just the perimeter and there needs to be motion sensors that set off an alarm if there is movement in the building after hours.

I had to get out of my storage unit and was not able to get out in a timely manner because I had to constantly be asking them to. Reset their system. I was not able to ever access my storage unit before the office opened because the system was not working. I was told that a management knows that it's broke and that it's been broke for well over a month With no intentions of fixing it. I also spoke to a new customer and he had blocked the door so that he could get in-and-out and said that he was told after he paid. That the door and security systems were unreliable and didn't work.

It was fine for me because i actually liked it more but i would had been mad if it had been the other way around.
MV P | First ImpressionsHad a storage unit there for two years, its pricey but worth it. The 24 hr access option as well as the security system made our stuff is easy to access ourselves but hard for others. The loading dock made my move in and move out of the unit a breeze, and I never once regretted choosing this great storage location. The only bad thing I have to say about this place is their corporate rules make some things harder than they need to be. Halfway through my 2 year rental period I lost my key to my unit. Instead of being able to bring a drill from my garage and open up my unit myself, they required me to call a locksmith, who proceeded to try to pick it open for 20 minutes and fail, only to do exactly what I would’ve done myself and drill out the cylinder. $275, to open my unit is absurd, especially when they install hitches at this location, and could’ve grabbed a drill from the shop and opened my unit for me. Absolutely ridiculous. Yes, maybe use a combination lock, it’s less secure, but the security system will protect your stuff more than your unit lock will anyways. I just didn’t do that because I had a habit of giving people my keys to go get something for me and didn’t want them to be able to memorize the code. But sometimes it’s not worth possibly losing the key and spending a months worth of the rental fees on opening up the unit. Other than that one hiccup though, my storage experience was great.
