Customer service was ok when I picked up the truck. When I returned it, the rep told me to park under the canopy and he will come to check the truck out and print a receipt for me. I waited 20 min he didn't show up. I went inside he was sitting talking to the girl employee and acted like he didn't care. The process of returning the truck too about 35 min and there was no other customers but myself. This is no acceptable!HESHAM M.

It was my first time ever renting at UHAUL. I had an emergency and needed a truck rental. I reserve the pickup truck online, when to pick it up and the young lady in the front said I needed to go to Bridgeport. I said the instructions said pick it up in Orange. Then she gave me a key, then she said I needed to come back sooner than the time I had reserve it for, because it was already rented to someone else. The reason I'm taking the time to write this is because this young lady was very rude, and unprofessional. I understand if it was already rented but she did not need to speak to me with an attitude. I'm not borrowing a truck, I'm paying for it. I'm paying for a service and I believe all clients should be treated with dignity and respect. I was very disappointed at her attitude and didn't said much to her. Needless to say, I hope I never go back there.MARICELA H.

I am very unhappy. I made an online reservation for a one-way rental of a 5x9 utility trailer form Orange, CT to Winsted, CT. When I arrived the clerk told me to call an 800 number to get my drop off location. I'm like WTF?! He didnt know. About 20 minutes later I got a text message telling me to drop in Bristol, CT. This was 50 MILES OUT OF MY WAY. Not my job to distr. your equipment.ERIC G.

The Uhaul in orange was great. My reservation was in New Haven. I received a call a few days before my rental that my rental would be confirmed. I never received the follow up call. When I went to pick up my rental I was told that the person that had the truck had extended their reservation for 2 days that morning. It was now 2pm. I did the online check in because I thought it would save time however ,I still spent about 30 min in line and they didn't have any of the dollies available or furniture pads I ordered.They really need to find a way to speed up this process.LISA F.
I scheduled or reserved a cargo van to be picked up at 10 p.m. I jumped through all the hoops for getting my rental ( photo, drivers license etc.) was giving the ID of the van and then told to get the key from lock box 5. When I got to the lockbox NO KEY. Call the assistance numbers on hold for 28 minutes and all they could do was give me a $50 rebate. The U-Haul app has a lot to be desired. It started my rental before I got the key or checked mileage or gas. I had to show up in the morning to pick up the van putting me 4 hours behind in my trip. My daughter had a loading dock reserved with a freight elevator. Because of the delay we missed that time. When I returned the van I was told I would get a discount for my inconvenience. Just received the bill $3 less then originally billed and I think that's because I didn't do all the mileage I predicted. On the good side the van was newer and clean. Gas was on half a tank I think they should come with a full tank and require renters to make sure the tank is full upon return. I would up returning it with more gas than I started. The young man at the counter Shaheim was very knowledgeable and polite and apologized for my inconvenience. But I don't think he was the one to make the mistake and it would have been nice to hear it from the manager. Mistakes happen but your 24/7 service made things appear to be easy and waiting as long as we did to be told to come back tomorrow was upsetting my daughter was already stressed out about moving and this just increased her stress. Overall U-Haul has great prices and I would use them again but not sure I would use 24/7 service.William C.

Compensation was promised by the agent who attended to my rental and her manager (which did not happen). The facility is spotless, the unit was spotless. I had to use the bathroom, very clean and well stocked. The directions to get in after-hours were not that clear, it took a few extra minutes for me to get into the building. But once inside, you could tell that this facility was well taken care of. The text I received when I booked the unit said there would be a lock waiting for me in the unit. There was no lock, luckily there was a Target nearby and I was able to purchase one. However, when I went to the office the next day to seek a refund for the lock, the person was unable to help me. She was very professional and took down my information. I was told to come back when a manager was available. The lock was less than $14. I would expect that employees can be empowered to make a $14 decision, especially since I had a receipt and the text stating a lock would be in the unit. I have not had a chance to go back to the office, so I am still out my money. I provided my cell number, no call back. That is why I am rating this just average. Found out later same as store hours. I was also unaware that store bought lock was required. I also was not informed that card has to be swipe in and out each time bin door opened or alarm goes off.
