Do not schedule a pick up time when you are closed. If you do make sure the customer knows what to do when they get there so they can get their truck. Know the closing and opening times of your store. Check your trucks and make sure they run. I had to jump the truck 5 times. Keep them updated.

I reserved my truck online and chose the option to use my phone to check in because the uhauls website said it would be faster. I got to the location and tried to use that feature. It was terrible and slow, especially because the location didn’t hav good service. I went inside and asked if I could just check in at the desk. He told me no because they “preferred it if I used the check in way that I chose when making my reservation.” I continued to try and check in on my phone, but it still was taking forever. The man at the counter finally let me check in in-person. While I was moving, I had to park the truck on the road in the front of my condo. It was dark out so I put my hazards on for safety (like anyone would). After taking out the items from the truck and bringing them into my house (which was about 20-25 minutes) I went to the truck to turn it on and return in. The battery was dead and I had to use my jumper cables to jumpstart it. When I brought the truck to drop it off, I told the woman who was outside of the business what had happened. I told her that all we did was use the hazards and she said “oh yeah those will kill the battery.” She did not offer any resolution to this inconvenience. I was also frustrated because the hazards are there to use when you could have the truck in an unsafe place. If the hazards are going to kill the battery, they should tell their customers before hand. I will not be using uhaul again.

The self pickup system does not work. Either the internet connection at this location needs to be greatly improved or your servers need upgrading. With the help of staff, i got to step 4 of taking my picture. After 15 minutes of being hung up on step 4, including back sliding to prior steps without any action on my part, the rep checked me out the old fashioned way on her computer as if i never chose self check out. I lost half hour of moving time because your system doesn't work.

To improve your service to customers, you'd need to start by getting better customer service agents at this location. Dan, whose name I know only because he was wearing a name tag, needs complete remedial training in customer service. OMG!!! I thought at any moment he was going to jump over the desk he was hiding behind when I entered the store and attack me. Then when I refused to take the insurance coverage on the equipment I was renting, I thought he was going to lose it for sure. He demanded that I sign the paperwork before I even inspected the unit. When I protested, he said we could look at it after. He never did. He did a horrible job of connecting the unit to my hitch (I had to tighten the coupling myself after he walked away). He had the chains dragging on the ground. I asked him if he could twist it like another location had done at a previous rental to prevent the dragging, and the attitude just got worse. He yanked those chains off like he was in a wrestling match. I asked him about inspecting it as promised and he just walked away and left me there. I made sure I took pictures both inside and outside before I drove off. I've never met the guy and after that encounter, I wouldn't want to again. If he was having a bad day, he shouldn't have been dealing with the public. If this is how he is all the time, then Uhaul has a problem. His own co-worker who walked in as we were walking out to "inspect" the unit, seemed afraid of him. I would not go back to this location ever again as long as that worker is still there, so I will not recommend it to anyone. Shameful. I checked that the vehicle was not maintained properly because the lighting system on the trailer was not working. He had to switch out the connectors to get the lights to function. I'll be looking elsewhere for future rentals. Thank you.

I made a reservation online 3 days before pick up, i went to the location an 1 hour early to pick up the truck all the lady said was your pick up time isn't up yet. I asked several times before she told me the truck isn't back yet. She later called me a few minutes before my pickup time and said the truck wont be available when i come at my pick up time because a customer has the truck and offer no help until i kept asking what options do i have now. I met another rude employee when i went to back to pick up a different truck. Even though i returned the truck the same day whilst they were still opened, Someone called me very early in the morning asking me to return the truck. You readily have to train your employees to be customer friendly and understand the importance e of customer retention and service your trucks frequently.

experience was great on the customer service, availability and return end. On the billing side, I was charged for items which I did not rent, pads and dolly. I noted this on check out/return of the vehicle. I have called to have this sorted out, but I guess there needs to be a formal complaint filed. Other than that, experience was great.

I was completely ripped off and possibly scammed I was told by multiple customer service representative supervisor would call me nobody ever did and I was charged double what I was quoted by three different Uhaul employees absolutely incompetent company I'll never use it again and possibly opening a lawsuit



It was explained that the starting mileage and gas level, may not be accurate per what they were putting on the contract. They asked me to check and let them know. Well they were not correct and when I returned the vehicle, I told them , answer , you should have told us before you left. At that point they could have made an adjustment. When I stated that I was not asked to come back in and tell them immediately.....It appeared as though I was talking to myself. I do not know if an adjustment was made after I was told. 2 things; why did the rep not come to the vehicle with myself and verify ? I rent quite frequently, and this was the 1st time no one came out. Assumption on my part I would tell them when I returned. Again, it was not CLEARLY STATED , to come back in and tell us if there were inconsistencies. Also, why would a client have to be burdened with coming back in and wasting time ? 2nd - Communication clarity was not fluent and when explaining upon return, either the employee did not understand or did not want to hear what was being said. She ( female) did not offer to get a peer or mgr. involved??? Honestly not quality customer service. my cell if someone would like to talk further - 860 895 3826 - Thanks It was not stated that I needed to let them know immediately.

When I reserved the trailer I reserved it for 24 hours when I picked it up I was told I had to have it back in the morning that they rented it and I could only have it for 12 hours as for the parking it's a tight lot if everything was parked on a 45degree angle it would be easier to hook up and go and you would have less people moving trailers by hand risking hurt on the job
