I put no for equipment clean because the van that we rented, the seats were covered in animal (maybe dogs) hair. We told the Uhaul employees about it and one of them came with the brush from a broom and swept it. He asked us if that was clean enough? But obviously it was still hair on the seats. Other than that vehicle performance mas great.

The customer rep I had was amazing. His name was Frederick Johnson. He was so professional and helpful.

There was a lot of complication renting a Uhaul truck from this location and the drop-off location. My reservation was cancelled and new reservation was made under my name and debit card without my knowledge. I was charged twice and it took a lot of back and forth to resolve the issue. The general manager, Annalise Becker, called me at 7am screaming on the phone and demanding where I got the truck I returned and insinuating that I stole the truck. A truck rental that I paid for and return 2 days early. I wish I demanded a full refund or was able to talk to a hire manager because of the stress and headache that this company gave me.

I just have one concern. Mr. Brian McAllister explained the situation with the mileage. It was highlighted that the level of gasoline when returned should be the same as when I got it. Estimated gallons needed to return to an agreed level of 13/16 or 2.2 gallons. When I got into truck # DC 1153 K, the tank was full. Prior to returning truck, I filled it up with 8.233 gallons, spending $20.00. Can you please review the mileage to check for the proper speedometer reading?? Is it possible to get reimbursed, if UHAUL’s calculations are inaccurate? Sincerely, Christopher Vanacore

I got overcharged $39.99 for an extra rental day, when I dropped off the van only 6 hours later from the same day...after my first phone call , the operator immediately detected the overcharged for $39.99 , emailing the local office in Orange,Ct to advise of the billing error....I never received the refund and I made other few phone calls directly to the Orange office..I got told that the manager was looking into. After few days U just received $25.00 back on my checking account....I am still waiting for the other $14.99 .. ..please remit my refund

Unjustly charged with a gas charge. I brought the truck with a full tank and more than I received it with.

Paul at the Orange location was awesome. However the check yourself out system was awful. If not for your people on the ground would be my last time renting from U-Haul. I have a furniture business and often rent trucks from your company when our delivery service is unavailable. First off it was not explained how to do it and I had to still go in and ask how to get started. I had to change settings on my phone to even get started. Once I started it was not quicker than your regular staff checking me out. Being asked to inspect the truck for damage is too subjective. How is a customer supposed to know what is significant damage and what is not on a rental truck? Furthermore the trucks on your lot are parked so close together you cannot inspect the trucks fully. If anything the system should have the damages you are aware of marked like it is on the paperwork you used to do at the desk. On identifying myself. I took pictures of my ID, granted in a clear mesh compartment, but it was completely visible. Then I took a selfie of my face, standing in full sunlight. First I get a response that I needed to remove my license and take another picture. Ok, I did that. Mind you minutes, going by in between all these steps, not seconds as if I was doing this with a live person. Then she wants me to retake the selfie because she said it was too dark. I could not be in a brighter spot. 15-20 minutes wasted I gave up and went back inside. Even waiting behind a customer being helped, Paul had me checked out from scratch in like 10 minutes. Perhaps a self check out process where the identification process is done by a live person on the ground who can look at you and your ID in less time than it takes to take and send a single picture to wherever your center is. Invest and improve on the efficiency of a local check out process.

The transmition in the truck struggled to shift gears on level ground and was absolutely terrifying going up steep hills in the valley. Guys, do regular maintenance on your trucks.

The website said 4 ft x 7 ft. It was not that big. Almost didn’t fit the frig in it.

Employees are friendly and work quickly, but they are often overwhelmed when customers (3 or more) accumulate. One individual cannot process a truck return, a propane refill, and trailer return in a timely manner regardless of how fast they are.

Locked keys in truck rental and when I called for help I was told that even if I came there that uhaul has no additional key and I would have to hire a locksmith.

I appreciated that someone from U-Haul hooked up the trailer to my car and made sure it was safe

When Uhaul first introduced the online 'return truck' feature, I hated it. It was faulty and difficult to adjust to it. Now with the new 'self check' feature, it makes me want to use the online platform more and becomes a nice thing to have. The orangeCT office and the hamdenCT offices are the best for customer service and order.

When I entered the girl waiting on me kept stopping so she could text someone. Gave me wrong keys to begin with. I knew because the mileage was off- but now she was smoking a cigarette so it took a few times for her to scream inside for someone to get the right keys for the right truck. Lights on in truck saying low tire pressure. I explain that makes me uncomfortable-she claims the mechanics just don't have time to reset this yet. They are very busy. When returning the truck I asked for a printed receipt- that caused an eye roll ....this young lady now had to get up off the chair. Very disappointed in your customer service
