Every time I go to the orange you all the mileage is always 3 miles under. I know it's only $.59 a mile but the miles should be accurate number two I rented a U-Haul yesterday and they charged me $10 for gas when I had more gas in it when I brought it back then when I got it. There was a half a tank of gas when I got it and I had it a little over half a tank when I returned it. I want my $19 backLORI P.

I have rented two trucks from this location and both had some serious steering problems. Both trucks were difficult to keep in the lane of traffic and in my opinion, were unsafe for the road. Being a mechanic all my life I can guess that the trucks both had badly worn steering parts. To improve the experience for future customers you should inspect steering and suspension parts for wear and replace the worn parts as needed. Finally, this is a serious safety issue that should not be ignored.Conrad G.

I had no idea where to drop off the equipment. I had to drive around for a few minutes and find someone standing outside. The man was really nice and helpful, but it wasn't clear what I was supposed to do before I found him.BRIAN A.
The trucks brakes were faulty and the truck front end was wobbly. Very dangerous. The truck was filthy dirty when we picked it up. The straps on the auto transport were old and not working properly. Worst experience ever - they didn't honor the price that was confirmed prior - I even had printouts and emails but they didn't care. Neglected to put the pop rivets in under the bumper after the hitch install and wouldn't make good on it. I had to go buy more from the dealer. Also disabled the hands free lift gate even though the hitch I chose was compatible with it. They did an awful job, wasted hours of my time and couldn't care less about my inconvenience or their crappy work.RUSSELL S.

Site does not geolocate well on Google Maps. A search for 190 Boston Post Rd, Orange sent me to 190 Boston Post Rd, Milford -said a Uhaul site was there but none found. Remapping to correct site 15 min away sent me a mile beyond locale. An attempt to reach a customer service representative simply resulted in at least 20+ minutes on hold, by which time I had found location. Once there, return was very easy.CATHERINE COURTN S.

I picked up my rental on Friday, 8/27 around 5:40pm. The manager at the location, Charae Sanderlin, was a bit rude and the interested in the fact that the appliance dolly that I reserved was not available. I was moving a washer and dryer so I really needed one. When I asked if she could check another uhaul location for availability she just said that she can't speak toward another locations inventory. I would have expected a manager to be more helpful or offer to call another location to check. She was just disinterested in providing good customer service. The other regular employee was more infinitely more helpful and courteous than his manager. I didn't catch his name but I want to make sure this positive feedback gets back to him. I would have expected someone with his demeanor to be the manager. Also, the driver seat in the cab had an exposed wire that ripped my pants.LAMONT B.

I dropped the truck off the night before at 9pm. The location waited until 30 minutes past my 24 hours to check it in approx. 1130. And charged me for an additional day. I have a correction file with you at the moment to get this resolved. Also. I would like to have a meeting with the CEO. I was sent to 10 New Britain Ave in Plainville.(10 miles) Instead of South Street in Hartford (2miles). after I told him I wanted a location in West Hartford. This is the first letter I ever wrote regarding a positive business transaction experience. I arrived at the Orange, Ct U-Haul facility located at 190 Boston Post Rd at approximately 3:10 on Saturday 082221. There were way too many cars parked in the lot for the amount of customers and employees on sight. There was a short line of customers inside the establishment. There was a respectful young man in his twenties moving in and out of the facility busily taking care of business. There was a young lady behind the counter also in her early twenties. Her demeanor dealing with the customers made me think she was within a month of her initial employment. Her knowledge of the business would make you think she had been a ten-20 year employee. I am sorry I didn't get her name for my review. I think she is to be commended for her sincere demeanor as well as professional and knowledgeable attitude towards completing the business transactions. I am no longer accustomed to this type of service. I realize especially today how difficult it is to have and maintain functional employees with the â€œrightâ€ professional demeanor when dealing with the general public. I highly recommend that you nurture her abilities for both U-Haul and the young lady's future. I would also like to commend her parents for raising such a fine young lady.Thomas O.

Truck should have full tank of fuel on pickup so the driver does not have to fuel up before they are completing their runs and then they can fill before return. This truck has 1/4 tank of gas and the driver/employee did not have any means of getting fuel.Randall J.

I went to pick up my truck and it wasn't clean, it had trash from the last client AND the gas tank was almost empty. BTW, there is a gas pump at this location. I was told I got a $26 dollar credit for the issue, but I ended up spending $75 to fill the tank. When we dropped it off, there was still 3/4 of a tank so I lost more than $26.Paul M.

There is an issue with the wheel straps. Everytime I stopped they completely fell off the tires. I stopped and bought straps and over wrapped on uhauls straps. Not sure but something not working with the uhaul straps. This presents a significant safety concern for the end user.DOUGLASC W.

Mobile drop off 24/7 website option did not work. Even after allowing location settings via web browser I could not use the mobile site to drop off my truck. I needed to have someone with a different phone and operating system come to uhaul so I could finish the drop off. Not acceptable. Another waste of time even worse than the pickup. I was also asked to pay more than the agreed $4 per gallon of used fuel without explanation.Christopher K.

The tires needed air so the tech filled to 80 psi but the gauge wasn't reset so it was a concern. Also as I arrived in Brooklyn the indicator light came on to saw the left rear tire was low. Your location should have made sure this was ok b4 giving me the vehicle.MARIANNE R.

Your mechanic Dave was great and delivered everything that was promised. The 2 people I dealt with on my first visit when I supposed to have my hitch installed, gave me a lot of misinformation. I had a 12:00 appointment and was told it would take approximately 1-1/2 hours. After 1-1/2 hour my vehicle was still sitting where I parked it. The facility is spotless, the unit was spotless. I had to use the bathroom, very clean and well stocked. The directions to get in after-hours were not that clear, it took a few extra minutes for me to get into the building. But once inside, you could tell that this facility was well taken care of. The text I received when I booked the unit said there would be a lock waiting for me in the unit. There was no lock, luckily there was a Target nearby and I was able to purchase one. However, when I went to the office the next day to seek a refund for the lock, the person was unable to help me. She was very professional and took down my information. I was told to come back when a manager was available. The lock was less than $14. I would expect that employees can be empowered to make a $14 decision, especially since I had a receipt and the text stating a lock would be in the unit. I have not had a chance to go back to the office, so I am still out my money. I provided my cell number, no call back. That is why I am rating this just average.
