The truck was not of the usual high quality I have come to expect form U-Haul. It had 125,000+ miles and ready to be retired. The transmission was very difficult to get into reverse gear. The front end shimmied wildly and was difficult to keep on the road. While the staff were very pleasant, the truck was terrible. Fortunately I only had a 12 mile move.

I was very pleased with the customer service received from Jordan. Also, I observed his interaction with other customers. Likewise, I was very impressed. It is unfortunate good customer service is lacking at many retail/service establishments. Perhaps that is why the customer service provided by Jordan was outstanding.

No wonder this area has a higher incident rate of covid. The only employees wearing masks wore them beneath their nose. Several customers came into the service center unmasked and were not asked to wear a mask. Making sure to leave reviews elsewhere as you clearly don't prioritize safety.

I visited the U-Haul location at 6141 Lancaster Ave., in Phila Pa, to rent a 9' cargo van. When arriving, my brother and I, giving respect to the social distancing markers located on the floor, we waited to be called to the desk by the attendant. Once called, as we were next in line, the attendant asked how can she help us, which we replied “We reserved a cargo van.” The attendant immediately responded that “you will have to wait, I am handling another customer,” at which time a gentlemen stepped in front of us to his business. Now, my brother and look at each saying: why did she call us to the front and ask how could she she help us if she was not prepared to help at that time. My brother and I also noticed that she did the same thing to another customer whom came in behind us while we were waiting in line. The attendant appeared to be preoccupied with showing everyone that she was important, but failed to provide customer service. I write this because, once we were called again to her desk, she requested information from us (i.e., license, name, phone number), which we provided. Then she typed something in the computer and asked the same information again as if she were asking it for the first time. Our poor experience didn't stop there. Upon completing all that necessary business with the attendant inside, she instructed to see the woman outside for the key to the cargo van. Upon reaching the woman attendant outside whom was sitting in a cargo van, she waited about 10-15 seconds to ask us how can she help us. I indicated to the outside attendant that the inside attendant asked for us to see you about our reserved cargo van. The attendant asked to see paperwork, which I showed her. She then indicated that the van she was in, was not our van and began to point to a van several feel away. She provided us with the key and we proceeded to the location where several cargo vans were parked. The problem here is: the outside attendant was suppose to take us to the van that we reserved since it was parked amongst a number of other vans. Nonetheless, upon completing the business with the van for the night, the loading and unloading, we returned the van to the location, which was after hours. My brother and I followed the instruction from the “inside” attendant that we met with earlier in the day, which was to go to the U-Haul website and scroll all the way to the bottom and click a button indicating that we were finish with the truck. Now, of course it was not that simple. Without going into details, which is exhausting, let me just say that we arrived back at the drop off location, which is the same as the above pick up location, at approximately 10:10pm, but had such a difficult time attempting to navigate our way through the poor instruction that the attendant gave us, that we didn't complete everything until 10:47pm. Poor experience!!!

This location is well run. I go there often for boxes and packing supplies. Very friendly staff and helpful. Very good inventory of vehicles to rent. Other UHaul locations always seem to be out of certain size boxes, but not this location.

I want to particularly point out the professionalism and patience from Frank. He is amazing at what he does and the kindness person I have met. He is smart, efficient, compassionate and a total asset to your company. I do believe uhual should hire security for his location as well as others because online uhual promises or messes up something with a move and people are mad they take it out on him and he doesn’t deserve it. I drove and moved from New York to Philly and didn’t have a unit ready for me but he kept his composure and figured out how to deescalate the situation with some other agitated customers that weren’t so understanding and he deals with this daily. I don’t know how far this review will go but I just felt the need to say something about Frank! Give him a raise!

I never received my 'accessories/supplies' that I paid for. There was only one person working the desk and she had a line. I didn't remember the 20.00 TV box & film wrap and she didn't ask if I got all of my supplies. The passenger side door wouldn't close / catch the latch. I was so distracted with checking the truck I gave uhaul 27.00 because I forgot to ask for my paid items

The pick up service was great. The customer service during drop off was adequate but not great.The truck was in good condition. I was charged for 2 days when I only had the vehicle for 1 day. I was charged an additional 100 miles that I did not drive as well. I submitted a dispute to have my invoice corrected . I am now waiting to have these issues resolved.I can not recommend this location if my invoice is not corrected and the ptoii OK er refund is given.

The pick up needed an oil change. Luckily, I only had to move a pool table. However, the vehicle that is rented should not have any minor or major problems. Overall, I would recommend because of convenience.

All employees I dealt with over a couple of weeks were friendly and helpful. Picking up the truck was straightforward. Returning was annoying as the UHaul app couldn't verify my location, though it was clear on Googlr Maps on my phone. I had to call customer service at 3 am and take photos to prove that I was at the right spot.

The return process is not convenient at all. We were informed to just drop the keys off. However, when we reached the location to return the keys, the key box had information that directed us to an online return process. That process was cumbersome and we were not even informed about it during our visit to the store. I think you must keep customers informed about the return process.

I had to sweep up lots of mouse & rat droppings from my storage units.. It was all over and in my belongings. I had to wipe my belongings off and check for droppings and live rodents before putting my items in my car. U keep raising the price for "maintenance " but this is unacceptable and customers should be made aware of the rodent problem.

When I moved my furniture to your facility from Florida there was nothing wrong with my mattresses. I placed my items in the storage in December and not one time did I come back to enter the unit until Sunday 4/5/20 to remove my furniture and close out my storage account. Sunday night I’m getting bit by bedbugs. Your units have bedbugs and I will be calling to speak to a Manager in regards to this situation. If my things became affected from renting one of your units, I wonder who else unit is being affected. Unfortunately, I will not be recommending that facility to anyone I know.
