Unable to reach anybody that can handle a situation. I had to make 6 trips to the office for a matter that was not resolved, you can check cameras. I moved out of the storage unit 07/16 the office was notified in person, I was still receiving emails about late fees and had a balance even though I paid in full. Eventually the balance was deleted. Records was not kept well or updated. My stuff have mold or/and mildew, I have pictures, but after the headache and time lost, I just wanted to be done with uhaul. The manager bad talk an employee basically saying the person was new and incompetent, which is not a leader move nor professional. The manager lied and my face and when question about he said “well?? I got a code for “gate or building access” but there was neither a building to enter nor a gate (outdoor unit). I open the unit and an alarm starts going off. I tried finding someone to ask about it, and a guy (moving u-boxes with a forklift) that was there said that there was an arm/disarm panel at an adjacent building. I enter the code and get “access denied”. I go back and ask the guy about it, and he said that the location was changed to an un-manned location and that I needed to drive to a different location for customer service. I elected to instead call that location versus driving my loaded truck down the road. Several calls, no one ever picked up, waited on hold with uhaul for longer than the estimated wait time, pressed the intercom button on the keypad that said it was monitored at all times, but got no response. I finally decided to just drive down there. The guy I spoke to at the main location confirmed my code was good, but said the system has been screwed up and to just ignore the alarm when it goes off. He also programmed a swipe card for the unit in case that worked; it didn’t. The gentleman was very polite and knowledgeable and explained that through the cameras they would disregard the erroneous alarms from the broken system. The alarm going off is a minor inconvenience, but my biggest issue was the lack of warning initially, not knowing what to do, and the inability to get in touch with anyone on the phone or the intercom—in retrospect I wish I’d redeemed my month of storage at a different location.Adam H. | Online Move In

Worst experience I've ever had. The check in and checkout process was a nightmare. No one at this location so I used the website as instructed. The check in was so complicated and I had to speak to 3 different services members just to get through it. Checkout was even worse.. the website would not allow me to enter my mileage and because of that I could not complete the checkout. I called a service member and was transferred and waited nearly 35 mins just to have no one pick up. Called another time and finally someone said just lock the keys and park the darn truck. I don't recommend making customers use a website to do this. Just hire some people and make them available at all locations to help customers. Nightmare.Rachel S.

The WORST experience. Our box showed up 10 hours after our requested time and was barely standing it was so poorly constructed. It was picked up the next day per our agreement and was to be put on a truck and shipped out within a couple days; however, when it was taken back to their facility, it was not checked in properly and sat in their yard for 5 days without any acknowledgement. We spoke with the shipping manager directly and was assured that it would be put on a truck that day and would still get to us by our "guaranteed" delivery date of 10/11. Several days later we called to check on it and it still hadn't been shipped. Finally, it got put on a truck and started to make its way to us from Florida or Oregon with a new "guaranteed" deliver date of 10/16. On 10/16, we received a phone call that it had been delayed and our new "guaranteed" delivery date is 10/18. Thankfully, it arrived in Oregon the morning of 10/18 and we received a call right away that we could pick it up anytime. The excessive delays are only part of the problem we have with UHaul, the worst part is the customer service (or lack thereof). Every single person we talked to, aside from the nice gentleman at the Klamath Falls branch, was rude and unhelpful. Each time there was a delay, we were reassured that for every day it's late we get $50 back, as if this was supposed to make us feel better. There was absolutely no sense of urgency or care from anyone we talked to, only the lack of ability to do their jobs. Due to this unbelievably awful customer service, we will never be using, nor recommending, UHaul again.Brandon S.
The online system used to access order and billing information is somewhat cumbersome and confusing. I struggled to be sure that I had been billed correctly or that my order details were correct. This location did everything to fix the screw up at the location I was originally supposed to pick up at. Lara was very knowledgeable and had such a pleasant attitude. She got my reservation straightened out and I was on my way in less than 30 minutes.Andrea Y.

Through the roof and beyond the Moon I hate, despise, abhor, and detest the "press-1, press-2, blah-blah" phone system. Just let it ring till somebody can answer! Nobody on the customer end of any business wants to take a "PRESS ONE," hokey-pokey quiz. NOBODY!! My button pushing accomplished nothing. The movers were absolutely fantastic but uhal people was terrible exceptfor one individual that actually answered the phone. They ran my credit card 6 times and it was a pain to get the extra charges back. On top of that the uhaul personnel rarely answer the phone. I had to call another location three different times to have them send a message to them because the people at the mobile hwy store wouldn't answer the phone three days in a row and I even call at different times like 7am right when they opened and still no answer. There was also a mouse in my ubox which I will be filing a formal complaint about!William E.

MY SON ARRIVED SUN 7/28/2019 AT LOCATION ONLY TO FIND IT WAS CLOSED DOWN, APPARENTLY ON 7/27 BY FIRE MARSHALL. AFTER SEVERAL HOURS ON THE PHONE, I WAS TOLD THEY HAD NO STORAGE UNIT THE SAME SIZE OR BIGGER THAN WE REQUESTED ANYWHERE IN THE PENSACOLA AREA. THEY REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING BUT PUT IN CUSTOMER COMPLAINT. MEANWHILE, MY SON HAD A LOADED UHAUL 26 FT TRUCK WITH NOWHERE TO UNLOAD. AS OF 7/31/2019 I NOR MY SON HAVE RECEIVED A RESPONSE ()PHONE OR EMAIL) TO RESOLVE THE MATTER. UHAUL WAS UNABLE AND UNWILLING TO HONOR THE CONTRACT. WAS TO GET ONE MONTH FREE STORAGE WITH ONE-WAY TRUCK RENTAL. WAS NOT HONORED. HAD TO FIND ALTERNATE STORAGE LOCATION AT MY EXPENSE. UHAUL IS THE WORST.thomas G.

Check that lights are working before customer leaves with rental. I had to return to location when brake lights didn't work on trailer, which was determined to be caused by faulty wiring done when hitch was installed at U-Haul in Greenville, SC just a week and a half earlier. The trailer that we rented did not have working driving lights. We had a 4 hour drive on the interstate in the dark without lights and after seeing vehicles behind us get close and have to swerve around us we stopped to check the lights, that is when we discovered we had none. We had to purchase magnet towing lights at a truck stop to attached to the rear of the trailer to get home safely. When we took the trailer back to U-Haul the next morning, there wasn't a member of management onsite for us to discuss this with. We are very disappointed with our experience.Sonny G.

I have used this location a number of times. And have always been pleased. I have read online people complaining about waiting, etc. I personally think they are just impatient, this location is always busy when we have come in but I usually use the online booking, etc and I have always been in and out. I input all my info online to reserve a truck. I stood in line for 15- 20 min. then was asked for most of the information I had already submitted online. Should have just come in off the street. This express reservation thing saved me absolutely no time. I was also incorrectly charged for two days instead of one. There was no professionalism and the whole experience was awful!!!!Henry W.

Placed installation date over the phone. Waited a week for parts. Got there the day of the appointment and parts were never ordered. Parts then ordered and was never called when they came in the following week. Was put on hold on the phone for over 30 mins as they checked if my parts were in before hanging up and driving to location. Got to location and 2 reps were just sitting down doing nothing. Was told the job would take 3 hrs and it took 4 hrs and 30 mins. I used to go to this location often and liked the service. However, unfortunately i won't be doing business here any longer nor would i recommend this place. The rep that left me on the phone and never returned was Brittany.nathaniel B.

The service was excellent at this location. However, the truck had many small roaches in the back which we killed with Raid Ant and Roach bug spray. We only needed to move one load of stuff 2 miles or we would have returned the truck and requested a new one. (There is no way we would have done a long distance move with bugs in the truck. And for those that don't live in FL...roaches are everywhere down here no matter how clean you are, but I still didn't expect to find them in our U-Haul truck.) Because of the bugs, I would not recommend this location to anyone.John C.

When I go by , reserve a trailer, give all my info including drivers license and credit card , that takes 20 min. Go back to get said trailer , have to give ALL the same info (not just confirm) , then 28 min later I am finally ready to go. What is the point. You wasted 20 minutes of my life I won't get back , not to mention the frustration. I have never had this problem before. Have rented trailer before. I am not very happy . The 20 something you had\have working there talked to me politely , but like I was stupid. I will try not to go back . And I have lived here and had dealings with this store for almost 30 years.Carl C.
