The location was fine. Uhaul customer service is terrible. I just spent half an hour on hold trying to get a charge taken off of my bill, was transferred three times, then was finally transferred to someone's voicemail. Good job Uhaul! Next time we'll use Penske.

This was my first time ever renting a U-Haul. The process was fairly quick and simple. My only suggestion would be to make sure customers know they will have to take pictures of the cargo area before leaving if returning after hours. The only reason I suggest that is due to safety concerns. I didn't feel very comfortable late at night by myself having to have my back turned to take pictures and focusing on my phone. I still give it five stars but would highly recommend a heads up. I would have definitely took pictures at a location where I was not by myself. Overall great experience. Thanks Uhaul! ~Stephanie

Your 1-800 number is manned with really not so friendly customer service skills. I had to keep calling to get my pick up location only to find they send a TEXT to my HOME phone..home phones cant take text's. I was not contacted by 6 pm as promised... I had to keep calling to get my pick up location. YOU need to IMPROVE this part of your company.

My overall experience was very disappointing. I reserved more than a week ahead at another location. I wasn't notified that I couldn't get it from that location until the day before pick up. It was not convenient or easy to drive an hour out of the way to get a truck before I could start to load it. It should have been in our favor that this location opened 30 minutes earlier than our preferred location but the earlier opening only meant that the door was open not the service. I was the first and only customer when 7:00 rolled around and the door was unlocked. I had to wait over 15 minutes to start getting my truck because the single employee on duty couldn't get to me yet because he had to do "things" around there first. I will think twice before using U-Haul next time.

I ordered the truck online. A woman called me from the 10 1/2 Mile Rd office in the morning and advised the truck I rented had not yet been returned and that she would call when it came in. I didn't worry about it much, because my pickup time was 2:00 and the workers I hired were going to meet at the packup location at 4:00. By 3:00 no call, so I called and a man answered and told me repeatedly that they did not have a truck for me. We started panicking and called other UHaul locations to see if they had the same size truck. I went to the location on Hwy 90 near Walmart the Belview location. He said he had a truck. He called the hired location and the woman told them my truck was there. I had him switch the location to his, as the paperwork was already in the system and I was already running late to meet the workers I hired from the site. No inspection of the truck was done. The guy finished the paperwork, I signed and he went out to get the truck. He jumped out saidbit was ready to go and I pulled out. Driving down the road I noticed the oil light was on and it was idling funny. This was the worst piece of junk I've ever driven. I didn't know whether or not I'd even make it home without it breaking down. Everything went well with the move, but when the workers were leaving they told us we should try to get our money back because the truck ran so poorly. Next morning after we dropped it off, I got a call from them saying we did considerable damage to the top of the truck. I told the guy that was B.S. Because no one, myself or my boyfriend lusted as drivers hit anything with that truck! I told them about the oil light being on when I drove off with it and that I was worried about even making it home with it. I told them my boyfriend would call back. When he called he was informed that the Corporate office would contact him in 24 hours. This was my first experience with UHaul. Not impressed. I have no intentions on paying for damages I did not do or that my boyfriend did not do to this shit for an excuse of a vehicle!

99 cents per mile is rediculaous! I just think that's way too high! It hurt me financially but I had no choice
