The gas meter is confusing. I’ve put around 2 gallons of extra gas coz The gas dial didn’t show up the corrected amount. Why can’t they give us a full tank and we do the same when we give it back. It’s way easier that way.

I think that the actual Cost needs to be more transparent all fees disclosure cuz I don't know where the $4 fee came out of nowhere. And I'm not real happy that it cost me $90 for less than 4 hours to move one item. But that's how it goes. Otherwise the service was fantastic the place was very clean the people were very nice and the van was very clean. Service was quick in and out

I would highly recommend uhaul for moving needs. From the pick up in Pittsburgh to the delivery here in Dunedin it was perfect. Even came ahead of schedule here in Dunedin !

Self pick up process was a mess. Key wasn't in the right box. Had to go in anyhow. Incorrect charges based on fuel and mileage...was not what was in form. Was told giving $5 discount for my trouble, yet nothing. Not happy.

These folks are the best. *FRIENDLY *EXCEPTIONALLY HELPFUL!! I live downtown in a condo building. I recommend U-Haul to all my neighbors for their temporary storage. The facilities are the best. *SAFE *CLEAN I have rented units on and off since this location opened. I love the landscaping at the rear of the building, it has been fun to watch it mature. Such a good idea. Thanks for being in Pittsburgh!

I have visited here 3-4 times. Each time the representative misrepresented the fuel gauge. They indicated the fuel gauge to be two notches above where it should be. Each time I had to correct them. One time I didn't mention and later they said I have to pay for the difference. I explained that the vehicle had to do really less than 10 mpg for it to go down on the fuel gauge. I only drove less than 10 miles. They should be diligent in checking fuel and reporting it correctly and not prey on customer's ignorance.

Communication between customers if the truck available is not the truck you guaranteed them especially when that customer called ahead of time to confirm and was shipped to a far away store for pick up. Also maintain your vehicles so they are safe to drive.

I locked my wallet in the truck and didn’t realize that I had until after I dropped the keys in the lockbox. I called and Mike the general manager drove down and retrieved it for me. He came out of his home on a Sunday night to do that. I really appreciated it and he wouldn’t take a tip for coming down. Thank you very much, Tom

While the Pittsburgh location was top-notch and my containers arrived via my moving help on time in Pittsburgh, the Newburgh location, service, and delivery of the containers was atrocious. My moving help called two days (Thursday) before delivery and informed me, for the first time, that they do not handle the U-Boxes in anyway and required my payment code up front to execute their services. I called the Newburgh location immediately and they told me (not consulted me) that they would deliver all of my boxes by noon on the day as promised. I decided this was a non-issue as my moving help told me (again no scheduling with me) that they would be there between 2-3 to unload the boxes. At 7:00 a.m. on Saturday (delivery day), I was contacted by Newburgh and told that the driver was out and asked if I had to have my boxes that day. I said yes and was told that 2 would be delivered by noon and the 3rd would be close behind. I also asked about the boxes being removed once the unload was complete and was told that they had to sit there until the earliest available pick-up time on Tuesday. Aside from this, my moving help called to tell me they had an accident and wanted to move my appointment. I said this was unacceptable and they ended up moving things around to get a crew to me at 1:00 p.m. I figured this wouldn't be an issue based on my last conversation with Newburgh. Around 12:30 (30 minutes passed promised delivery of 2/3 boxes), I called Newburgh to see if they were on their way. I was then told that they were packing up to leave shortly and would definitely get the boxes to me by 2:00 (my original unloading time). The movers said that they could wait until then for the boxes and it wasn't a big deal. Around 1:45, I receive a call from the Newburgh delivery people to inform me that there is traffic due to an accident. When asked, she cannot confirm an ETA and thinks it may be around 30 minutes. I tell the movers and they again say that they can wait. Around 2:20, the movers ask where the boxes are and I attempt to call the driver twice and am ignored twice. I tell the movers and they say that they will go to another job and come back between 6-7. The boxes finally arrive at around 2:45 and take an hour to be dropped in my driveway. Later, I receive a call from the movers that their job was much larger than anticipated and that they can definitely get to my job at noon on Sunday. At 12:15 on Sunday, I receive a call from my mover that the job they are on is bigger than anticipated and they cannot get to me until around 3. I say that this is unacceptable and they work their schedule to get someone to me around 2. A team shows up around 2:15 and unloads my boxes in quite hurry causing boxes to fall over, be placed in my space upside down, a leave the property in a general mess. Finally, I receive a call at around 7:30 on Tuesday morning asking if I am ready for the boxes to be removed. I say

I reserved a van with a moving dolly. When I picked up at my reservation (minutes after the location closed), I discovered that there was no dolly in the van. I tried calling but, the location was closed. The operator, while pleasant, wasn't terribly helpful. We had to move some very heavy and awkward items without the use of a dolly, which was very difficult.

The contract wasn't updated for the length of time of my need of the equipment. As a result, got a lot of calls from the drop-off location. However, most annoying - no cruise control for a known rental drive of over 600 miles.

My atm card was charged the same day as pick but I was told that it would not be vharged until the retur. The following day, as a result my account was overdrawn since I did not have time to transfer money to the account. Very disappointed with regards to the issue.

I picked my truck and key up at 5 am. They gave me the wrong key/lock box. I was told lockbox 2 and given the combination on the website. This was the key to the 10 foot truck, not the 15 foot truck. I had to sit outside for 2 hours until they opened to get my key. Defiantly will be using a different in the futute. Penske, enterprise, anyone .

We had ordered a truck but when we got there it wasn't there. So the guy offer us a van. I don't know the firs guys name because he hands us off to somebody else. The second guy was anthony and he was extremely nice and informative. He offered us the van since the truck wasn't there (which in fact is not on the uhaul place but whomever was using before us didn't return it on time... moving is not always a done at 1 type thing so we undersood) but we got to van instead which actually save us money in the long run. (No straps or rope to buy) . When I returned the vehicle we went over the estimated amount of miles and again anthony was there to return. I asked how much it was going to be since we did go over. And he was able to give me the exact amount and was ready to help. Definitely a nice guy and a nice uhaul place. Would recommend.

The vehicle I rented was very clean. However, I was given a vehicle that "had a trick to starting it." When I called to report I couldn't get the key to turn in order to start the ignition, I was told to "that's just the way that truck is." It took me forever to get it started each time I needed to turn off the ignition, which significantly delayed my moving process and added unneeded aggravation. I don't know why that vehicle is still being used in their rotation or why I wasn't told about this "tricky" ignition prior to driving it off of the lot.

The customer service at this location was terrible. The employees are simply not nice. I have rented uhauls from all over the country for over 21 years and have never experienced anything quite like this. Though the facility is very nice and convenient, the employees gaurenteed I will never use this locale again. I was going to also rent one of the larger units for my long term storage need but had such a bad taste from my experience that we ended up giving our business to Gaurdian instead. It's a shame because my past experiences there a few years ago were great.

I was rented a vehicle that was knowingly not working correctly. It caused great inconvenience to our move. Upon returning the truck the employee said they knew about the ignition issue but we're so busy that weekend they had no choice but to rent it out. His solution was to gice me a discount on mileage which isn't nearly compensation for the aggravation this vehicle caused. I can't believe that is the standard of business. The only reason I wasn't stranded was because I used to work on cars for a living. If it would have been a person with less knowledge they definitely would have been stranded multiple times. I expect a response on this.

You should disclose verbally and upfront to your customers that unless they use cash, Uhaul will place a 4 day hold on a high estimated cost of renting a truck. Moving is an expensive adventure for many people. Often times money is put aside in order to sustain an individual after the move until they get through to the next pay. This was my scenario. After putting $2,500 out for an apartment, I had to live for three days with no cash in my pocket because of the hold in my account. Uhaul blamed my bank. My bank Blames U-Haul. They claimed there was no way they could remove the hold and it was up to U-Haul to do once the sale was finalized. I tend to believe my bank. I was very disappointed with the way business was conducted by Uhaul and will never use Uhaul again for any moving purposes. That is Shady business

Mine was an after hours drop of a trailer and the designated drop location was not easily located, especially for trailers.

The people who helped me had someone who wasn't trained set up my towing dolly. After she was done, a more experienced person came out and checked her work and corrected a bunch of things that she did. The trainee told me that my car should be in park when I was towing it. The woman overseeing her then told me that she was wrong and that it should be in neutral. I had to call support to confirm since I didn't want my car to be damaged. The woman who was more experienced told me that the other woman wasn't qualified to do this - she just thought she knew because her husband towed cars on tractor trailers. This begs the question of why someone who isn't qualified is hitching up people's cars. It is dangerous and I'm sure significantly increases their liability. It also wasted 30 minutes of my time in confirming whether I should put my car in neutral or park.

The customer parking lot was filled. One of your customer contact reps was adamant that I was on my own finding a spot offsite. The other, fortunately, helped me find an onsite spot that would be safe and secure. I would have given you a better rating if not for the first guy who was rude.

The truck was great, but the back garage door malfunctioned and was broken, so the back garage door got stuck and we were not able to close it. That totally put a wrench in our plans. Luckily we were able to create a Plan B and return the Uhaul for another one.

I was really disappointed because I had rented a 10' Cargo truck to move my daughter's furniture to a new apartment in Pittsburgh. The furniture included a Queen size mattress. When we picked up our vehicle they gave us a cargo van instead (for the same price) saying all the 10' trucks were booked. This vehicle was so much smaller and the Queen size mattress barely fit without getting buckled. Also we had to make numerous trips back and forth because this was van was so much smaller. I felt that this was almost like a "bait and switch" scheme and it made our moving much harder. I would not recommend this u-haul location to others.

I was stranded on the side of the road for two hours because of lack of truck maintenance. The transmission fluid was completely dry and took 4 quarts which is something that should not happen if the truck is properly maintained and fluids checked. The customer parking on the left was not noticeable at first sight and one can not easily figure out that one can park in front of the store. A big 'customer parking' sign at front face might be helpful. So I drove upto the end of the parking lot and made a u-turn and found 'customer parking' area next to the main street and again with a confusion, because there was a 'not more than 30 min' sign. So the question was, where to park my car while leaving with U-haul car? After the process with U-Haul rep, I learned that I can park on the other side of the building??? Imagine that you get your U-Haul car and leave it there, get in your car, drive the lot, park there and come back and get in the U Haul car. My son was by chance with me and he did this part of the job. MY RECOMMENDATION : Front lot might be assigned partly (50/50) to 'continuous customer parking and U-Haul cars contracted for that day may be kept in the back of the lot. OR the front parking is completely assigned for customers and after contracting proces, a rep takes the customer to the parking lot on the other side and delivers the U Haul car on that lot. The current practice is very confusing.

I rented a van and then returned it for a 17 foot truck. The van was immaculate and ran extremely well. The 17 foot truck was a deathtrap. The steering wheel needed to be sideways to steer the truck straight. It made all kinds of scary noises as well. I was glad I was only moving a mile away. The people in your facility where amazing. Especially Cory, the young man who helped me the first time I came to pick up the van. He helped me rearrange/change the reservation, was very polite and extremely helpful and personable .

They pulled up the the reservation and, to be sure, all of my information was correct, but it was not my signature that was given to them. The truck was also rented out at 11:30 AM when my reservation was at 3:30 PM. I am not sure how this could have happened. Fortunately, another truck was there, but it took longer to process and I was late meeting with my movers. Lastly, I was uncomfortable that my address information was given to a total stranger.

I made a reservation online 2 months in advance for a specific time and pickup location. I was told that I would receive a call to confirm the reservation details, but never did. So instead, I called and the U-haul rep confirmed my reservation. Less than a day before the rental date, I received a text message indicating that both my time and pickup location had changed, consequently forcing me to also reschedule with the movers that I'd hired. I was told that this kind of thing is part of the terms of service of U-haul suggesting that there was nothing anyone could do about it, which to me is a poor way to do business. I don't blame this particular store location for doing anything wrong, however I do blame U-haul's scheduling system in general for being sub-standard to a customer's needs from a company like this. Especially when the reservation is made 2 months in advance. Very poorly done.

My preferred pickup was in Gibsonia, PA, but the only truck available was at Glenshaw, PA. When I arrived to pickup the rental, the truck was not available. The 2 customer service guys worked quickly to locate me another truck to rent. The location was further away from my move location, but it was the only option available. While the trailer I rented had some safety lighting issues, maybe the units can be "checked out" better before the client arrives for pickup. The staff person who processed my rental actually fixed the lighting. I think he stepped above his peers and went that extra mile to get a client on the road sooner than later. Why a different unit wasn't swapped in versus waiting for someone to physically fix the trailer - I don't know.

I was very disappointed with my service. I was in a rush and didn't check my car thoroughly but uHaul did not have accurate data for their truck. They told me my car would have half a tank but then had less than that. When I had been to uhaul in the past they would verify that for me. The guy who brought the car around wasn't engaged and helpful. Also they had inaccurate data for mileage. They told me I went 60 miles but I only went 25. I told them my estimate was 25, I didn't go 3X that amount. Then when I dropped the car off they couldn't do anything for me. I paid triple the amount for my truck. I am unsatisified with the intergrity of the info at the uhaul. I won't go there again.

The outside personnel was very friendly. The manager inside was not. He was obviously sick, running nose, sneezing. When we asked about getting a refund for our disastrous experience with Uhaul, he acted as he didn't know what was going on. Then said he remembered reading about everything that happened. Although the van was really new and in perfect shape, the tire pressure sensor kept coming on and I thought that I was having a flat tire. It should have been fixed between the last user and the next user. Otherwise, it was perfect. First time I drove a van and it was fun!

This was the worst moving experience I have ever had. And I have moved across the country several times. Not due to personnel, but the quality of the truck was not safe for operation. I could move the steering wheel 2-3 inches in either direction and the truck wouldn't move at all. The shocks on the truck were more or less non-existent so the comfort level while driving was horrendous. It is completely lost on me how a company would claim that a truck in that condition was suitable for a cross-country move. Please inspect the quality of your trucks other than just how clean it is, because this was ridiculous.

My reservation got switched from a 2 day rental milage at 59 cents per mile to a 1 dayl 4 hr rental and mileage at 69 cents a mile. I received a voicemail from Chris about the rental and returned his call. He then stated that my card was only a hold and he would need to recharge the card. He also stated that the truck had to be back before 4 pm when the store did not close until 5 this then made me cut my move short. I was somewhat dissatisfied that my reservation was changed without my knowledge and consent also the restroom was very dirty. the bottom of the toilet looks like it has never been cleaned and the room smelled like dried urine.

I had attempted to reserve a truck at a different location (Bigelow Blvd) using the website. The reservation went through, and I got a confirmation and everything. However, when I arrived, they said I didn't have any reservation from me. Apparently if none are available, the website will reserve a nearby truck, but not tell you. I had to travel an extra mile out to the correct location to pick up my truck.

Very Mixed Results - Good on one end, Terrible on the other The team in Pittsburgh was fantastic. Delivery to the house was within 10 minutes of when scheduled, the folks that downloaded the box were professional, courtesy and efficient. The team in Panama City FL was pointless. Never contacted me that the box had arrived. Gave me the run around about scheduling delivery when I discovered they had no capacity or equipment to deliver. I had to rent a trailer from them to pick it, deliver it and then return it. Not what was advertised.

Please ensure that the correct vehicle number is printed on the initial invoice handed to the customer. We were unnecessarily waiting for 15 min for our cargo van, not knowing that the number had been switched. We had to go in and get the new number and the representative helped us out then. I hope you will take care of this in the future.

First..My boyfriend ordered a commercial van which he went to pick up Friday night at another location. They did not have it. Had been rented and was taken out of state and would not be returned for our move. They had nothing else. I called a central reservation number to see what I could get and was guaranteed a truck rental for Saturday at 8am. Liberty Ave called me ten minutes after to say they had no trucks available for Saturday and said central reservations had no business guaranteeing it. Then he said there was a truck in Pittsburgh area but it could be 20-30 mi away. He said he would call by 7 pm to let me know. I received no call back, so I called them. Again I was routed to a central scheduling person who said my truck was reserved for 530pm Sat! She then called liberty Ave while I was on hold. She told me they DID have a truck and it WAS available for 8am under our name. We drove up to that location to ensure this was true. Got the truck Sat on time and returned it within 5 hours. What a fiasco though! Very unprofessionally handled. I was told by central reservations that if they don't have your rental, you get $50. But this was not offered for the first van we didn't get under my friend's name. We had a moving team of 8 people lined up for 8 am Saturday and did not know until 8 pm Friday whether we had a truck or not! And I HAD to move that day. There was no flexibility there. Will not deal w uhaul again. Nightmare!!
